I truly hate leaving a negative review because we've had such great experiences here in the past…read more The previous nurse practitioner we saw was phenomenal--kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. We've seen her multiple times without incident, and she always made well-informed recommendations after a complete assessment. Unfortunately, this time we were seen by a new nurse practitioner, Tiffany C. Laffoon (License #95032168). We only learned her name after calling the Minute Clinic because she refused to identify herself during the visit, despite providing medical recommendations. Tiffany did not examine my 5-year-old son, who had a fever and was complaining of ear pain. She didn't take his temperature, didn't look in his ears, and didn't review his chart. Instead, she told us to give him Motrin and "wait it out," and shamed us for using antibiotics in the past (if it were my son I wouldn't do that she said) --despite them being prescribed by healthcare professionals. When I asked for her name and credentials, she confirmed she was an NP but refused to provide any further information. She had no visible badge, and when I pressed further for her name and license number, she threatened to call the police and accused me of being rude. The visit ended without any assessment, documentation, or after-visit summary. As a licensed healthcare provider myself, I was shocked by the lack of basic triage. Her demeanor was combative, and she made comments about wanting to go home while angrily changing the trash. After she shut herself in the office, I even slid a note on my phone under the door explaining I'm autistic and sometimes communicate directly, but that my son still needed care. She ignored it. The CVS store manager attempted to help, but even they couldn't get her to share her name or license information. Nearly a week later, I've still received no follow-up from Minute Clinic management. My son kept asking, "Mommy, why did her cancel my appointment?" and "Why was her going to call the police?" I had no answer. We were seen by his pediatrician the next day, who confirmed he had a severe ear infection. She immediately prescribed antibiotics and referred us to an ENT--something that could have been caught earlier with even a basic exam. This entire experience was confusing and traumatizing for my son, and we will not be returning.

Imagine me walking in stiff and battered looking for an x-ray to ensure nothing was broken, I was in strife! Thankfully, Temecula 24's front office staff were polite and welcoming. The online check-in process was seamless and I was seen in less than 30 mins. Upon entering my room in the back, my wounds were cleaned up and I was bandaged by an amazing radiology professional. Next, I was seen by an NP who gave me a shot for the pain, followed by a tetanus shot since a piece of metal hit me during my accident. I was so thankful for the thorough treatment and forethought to prevent infection and complications. Lastly, I was taken to the x-ray room, provided a protective cover and had my leg and elbow examined. The radiology lady was very sweet, she was with me every step of the way and ensured my comfort to the best of her ability! Once the results were in, I was told I didn't have any breaks or dislocations, phew! I was given ibuprofen and given an antibiotic cream for my wounds. The NP suggested physical therapy only if needed. Overall, this visit was a huge improvement over the last time I came here. The clinic had great music and a much better vibe this time! Note: Doctor's notes are only good for 3 days! Plan accordingly.

To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am submitting a formal complaint regarding Dr. Philip Hardy in connection with a concerning encounter at Temecula 24 Hour Urgent Care on Friday evening, approximately 9:00 PM, on April 24th. I presented to the clinic with acute and potentially serious symptoms, including difficulty breathing, chest tightness, dizziness, and an elevated heart rate. These symptoms, as widely understood, warrant prompt and careful medical evaluation. While the front desk staff and nursing staff were professional and attentive, my interaction with Dr. Hardy was markedly inconsistent with what I would expect from a licensed medical provider in an urgent care setting. Dr. Hardy appeared disengaged and did not conduct what I perceived to be a thorough or attentive assessment of my condition. I was not provided with clear clinical guidance, and I felt as though my symptoms were not being taken seriously. Instead of offering direction or initiating appropriate evaluation, I was left uncertain about my condition and next steps. When I asked what I should do given my symptoms, Dr. Hardy stated that I should "probably go to the ER." When I asked which emergency department he would recommend, he responded that he did not know and continued discussing unrelated personal matters. This response was dismissive and inappropriate given the seriousness of my presentation. During the visit, my condition worsened... I became increasingly dizzy and overheated and was forced to leave the room. Dr. Hardy had indicated he would provide paperwork for my transfer to the emergency room; however, he did not follow through directly. As I walked out of the room I observed him engaged in a playful personal conversation while a nurse ultimately provided the document. The paperwork I received was illegible and did not assist the receiving hospital in any meaningful way. Following this encounter, I sought care at Temecula Valley Hospital, where I was treated promptly and professionally. The contrast in the level of care further highlighted the deficiencies in my urgent care visit. I am concerned that Dr. Hardy's conduct reflects a failure to meet basic standards of medical professionalism, patient evaluation, and communication. Given the nature of my symptoms, the lack of appropriate attention and guidance posed a potential risk to my health and safety. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and investigated. I will be reaching out to clinic management and I am willing to provide any additional information needed to assist in your evaluation.  Sincerely, Jack Miller You can reach me at Phone: (951) 464-0141  Email: jmills42205@gmail.com

This was the most upsetting medical experience we've had as parents…read more A nurse told us our child's wound was very superficial, not open, and did not need stitches. A steri strip was initially presented as optional and "just to demonstrate placement." After it was applied, we decided to leave the steri strips in place because we were concerned that removing them could worsen the wound. I asked multiple times whether applying and then removing steri strips was safe and was repeatedly reassured that it would not cause harm. We thought the treatment was complete. Later, the nurse returned and said they had forgotten to clean the wound and needed to remove the steri strips. I explicitly objected, expressing concern that removal could worsen the wound, but my concerns were dismissed and removed the strips anyway. Immediately after the steri strips were removed, the wound appeared more open and visibly worse. The nurse then asked, "Do you want stitches for your peace of mind?" without providing any explanation. I reminded her that she had stated the wound was very superficial and not open, and questioned why her assessment had changed after the removal especially after I had asked her not to remove them. She stated that the wound was open now but insisted the change was not related to the removal. This sudden and contradictory assessment caused us to lose trust in her care. Later, our pediatrician and other physicians confirmed that removing the steri strips in this situation made the wound reopened. By then, it was too late for stitches. We were also told at check-in that a physician assistant (PA) was going to treat my child, which later turned out not to be true. After the wound worsened, we attempted to seek follow-up care that same night because no other urgent care was available, but were refused. Despite returning twice and explaining the situation, no provider reassessed, cleaned, or treated the worsened wound, even though there were no patients waiting. This urgent care ignored our written complaint for two weeks until I followed up by phone, and then denied a refund with no explanation, stating only that it was the medical team's decision. Poor communication, dismissal of parental concerns, and lack of accountability. I would not return, especially with a child. This experience was extremely distressing for our family, and I hope it helps prevent similar situations for others.

She realized that she didn't have the referral after the fact. She called multiple times to get the referral to which she was told in the month of January 2025 that she needed to come and see the doctor again for the referral! She called multiple times to get the referral, but they continued to tell her she needed to see the doctor for again. Does that make any sense after she just saw the doctor only a month prior?! Today 2/5/2025 I called to speak with the staff that does the referrals, to which they told me that her appointment in December was only a Medicare wellness visit. That the appointment whether she had a problem then or not was not an appropriate appointment for a referral. The exact words were they needed a "diagnosis". To which I said, if you guys could diagnose what she has and takes 2 separate appointments, they could "diagnose" then they should also be able to treat otherwise there would be no need for a specialist. I also work in the medical field; this is a racket. No wonder patients are frustrated with medical care. It's completely mismanaged, inefficient, and the office staff leave a lot to be desired. The two women I spoke with today were Jasmine and Melissa, the seemed very disinterested in why I was upset. Clearly the point of the December visit is so they can get their year end billing done with Medicare. I seriously can see no reason otherwise because my 77 yr old mom wasted her time going to a doctor just to tell her she needs to see an ENT and then not give her a referral. I think I'll be talking to her and have her get her medical care elsewhere from now on.
