Had a late lunch at here after walking on the waterfront. Good food, nice people. We shared the Pad Thai bowl with delicious fresh veggies (A+), the Buffalo Cauliflower (B+), and fresh cookies (A). Nice, shaded outdoor seating area. Would have eaten indoors, but the juicer (located near the seating area) and was quite loud. We definitely will return for more of the good food and good vibes. read more

After having had horrid experiences at Sleepy's, we were referred to HCOM by a friend. I found the idea of latex mattresses to be a bit odd so I did some research on types, hammocking/sagging, and heat distribution. We found that they are exceptional compared to all other types. So, we went in and spoke to the owner and learned that the store and factory are completely local and use American made materials. This was a huge pro for the store. Now for the mattresses. The store has selections from full plush to firm and a type in between as well as a triple layered option. The top of the line triple layer is a bit pricey in queen and king but the mattresses last for 30+years and have a 25 year warranty. Honestly, the mattress is nothing short of amazing and the investment is well worth the result of no more shoulder pain from side sleeping (gotta hold that booty tight at night ;) Get over there and try them out of you want. First we had a Bob-O-Pedic that everyone insisted was the best, and we hated right off the bat....but Bob's Furniture makes you keep it for a month before you can return it, then gives you a hard time doing it. Then we went to Sleepy's, where they had us lay on their sleep sensor mattress and recommended - or should I say "forcefully suggested" (pushy jerks that they were) - one of their top of the line mattresses that seemed fine for the 5 minutes we laid on it at the store, but was keeping us up at night once we got it home. They gave us even MORE trouble about trying to return it, so we kept it and literally just traded mattresses with a family member whose mattress was 17 years old. You read that correctly - we paid for a brand new, top value mattress, only to trade it outright for one that was 7 years past its warranty and had sweat stains on it. Yesterday we went into THIS store, however. We had done some research on latex mattresses after sleeping on a friend's, and falling head over heels in love with it. We weren't looking to buy, just test some out and inquire - but we agree that we will be buying from there, as well as recommending them to EVERYONE we know. The owner, who assisted us, is incredibly knowledgable. He designed the mattresses himself, and uses only organic, and local; the mattresses are made right in Connecticut. He describes in ways that I can't how these mattresses are built to support without sagging or hammocking, how one is better for side-sleepers over another due to the plushness of the top layer, etc. He even encouraged us to come back when we had more time to just hang out and lay on the mattress for a full hour to test it out. Not only does he know what he's talking about intimately, but he never tried to push a sale, and encouraged us to ask questions just so we would be educated about the products. I have never had such a great mattress shopping experience, nor would I have imagined that it could be possible. Every mattress we tried out was supportive and beyond comfortable. Even the pillows, which are also latex and designed independently, were the perfect mix of plush and firm. This place is fantastic. Just check them out, you won't be sorry. read more

This company is amazing! We purchased our mattress in 2011. Over the last 6 years my husband's side wasn't holding up. He's a big guy and has had numerous back surgeries and needed more support. What we had was too soft (still great for me). We stopped in the Mount Kisco store and by chance met the owner. We explained our situation and he solved our problem. Since we had 2 extra long twins, we only needed to exchange my husband's mattress. He chose one with extra support. Two weeks later the exchange was made and we paid a minimal amount because we upgraded. Extraordinary service & exceptional mattresses! We couldn't be happier. read more

I am very happy with our purchase from Healthy Choice. They have a great selection of Latex mattresses in a variety of configurations. The sales person was quite helpful in explaining the details of the various mattresses, and did not heap on the pressure like they do in other mattress stores. The prices are not cheap, but they are actually not bad in comparison with other stores selling latex/natural products. They do seem to run frequent sales, so it's best to take advantage of the lower prices. We went to several other places to compare, and believe that the Healthy Choice products are pretty good value for what you get. They are made by a factory in Connecticut so they are relatively local as well. Once we made the purchase we were told that we could expect delivery during the third week after our order. The mattress was delivered as promised during that time frame. I have spent my life dreading the mattress buying experience due to the high pressure and sleaziness of places like Sleepy's, and this experience was much more pleasant. Oh, and by the way, this is the most comfortable mattress I have ever owned. read more

This review is based on a call to the customer service number 1-855-261-7859. I am debating between visiting this store (which is at least one hour drive one way for me from New York City) to purchase a mattress or simply ordering a mattress online. They were cheaper than Soaring Heart in California and closer to New York City so I decide to give it a try. However, the sales person seems to be quite impatient. He is not clear about how the comfort guarantee will work and just bluntly says that they don't offer money back, even though I intended to understand what are the "fees" associated with exchange and delivery. Anyway, I was first enticed by their "claimed" quality and commitment to a purely "Made in USA organic mattress". But I was turned off by the sales person's impatience with a potential customer over the phone. If he is impatient with my few minutes phone inquiry - will I feel comfortable to invest at least 2 hours round-trip drive (assuming no traffic) to purchase at least a few thousand dollars on a bed whose customer agent is brushing me off over the phone? Soaring Heart (unfortunately more expensive than I can afford) has a much better customer service overt the phone. Is that why this one is cheaper? I am disappointed before I even drive to the store and bring out my wallet. I placed the customer service call on the morning of 9/16/2015 in case the store wants to track down how to improve their customer service over the phone. Very disappointing. read more
