It's very scary when your little ones are sick out of the blue and your pediatrician is closed but Healthy Minors has came to the rescue on more than one occasion for our little family. I always feel very appreciative when we leave here knowing our little ones are getting the help they need. We have only been here since Covid started so I'm not sure how their practice was before but the process is very Covid friendly. You fill out the paperwork online and then call and book your appointment. You drive up and park where they direct you and a nurse comes to your car to get their vitals. Shortly after the doctor will call and ask about symptoms before treating your sick child. I really appreciate the brief contact. It's scary enough having a sick child but then bringing their already compromised immune system in a office full of other sick children with other illnesses is scary. We get to wait in the comfort of our car. The staff here is very friendly. We love Dr. Sonoiki. She has treated both our children in illness over the weekend that couldn't wait. She is very good with kids of all ages and knew exactly what was wrong. Most recently our newborn baby had a rash. She quickly pinpointed his issue and then she noticed our toddler was also sick and treated him. I highly recommend this business. read more

Highly recommend! I am an RN and can usually sniff out reliable walk ins. This place came recommended by my daughters pediatrician Dr Lee, we have been several times and the Dr is absolutely wonderful, patient, kind, knowledgeable and thorough. Remember to bring your PATIENCE as she spends as much time needed with each patient. If you have an emergency that can be life threatening this place is NOT for you it's the ER. The hours vary from day to day , open late, so look it up before you waste time going. It's a bit of a process to get checked in since covid but well worth it. read more

Make sure to call ahead to make an appointment & fill out registration paperwork online. We had a wonderful experience at Healthy minors. The staff were friendly and know how to get children to feel comfortable to be treated. The Dr and Nurse explained everything to us - using words that children understand. Both Dr and Nurse were detail oriented and patient. They were also on time for our appointment- which we all know is not common when it comes to Doctors visits. I wish we could make them our full time pediatrician. We will absolutely be back to Healthy Minors! read more

My sister referred me here when my daughter was sick. The receptionist/medical assistant was so kind and nice and very helpful when it came to checking my daughter in and also taking her vitals before going back to see the doctor. Dr. Sonoiki is a very sweet lady. She was efficient and listened to what I was saying. The only drawback is the wait time to see the doctor (we waited about an hour) but with only 1 doctor working I was ok with that because that meant she was being thorough with all her parients. The price is very good too. I was a cash only due to being out of state. I paid $100. To me a small price to pay to make sure my little one got better fast. Thank you!!! read more

I wish I saw the reviews before going to this clinic. I was happy to have found a kids walk in clinic but unfortunately our experience was disappointing because of their staff. Front desk employee was rude, I guess she was in a bad mood because she looked annoyed. As soon as we got there and sat, she told my kid to sit down properly then handed him a face mask making us feel uncomfortable. My sick son was just sitting and barely moving, we were the only ones there. It was our first time at this clinic so it was surprising to be treated that way. As for the doctor, we had a good experience. She was friendly and my son felt comfortable with her. If you don't mind going through the same thing with that staff member, then I recommend the doctor. For the front desk employee - you are working with sick kids and parents who are worried about their kids. Showing a little compassion or just a smile goes a long way. read more

If i could give less then one star i would. The absolute worst experience i have ever had at a dr. Office. After an hour wait and us being told how to sit repeatedly (noted as infection control, even though they have cloth seats) we were brought into a "triage" room. As my daughters vitals were being measured, the MA (i can only presume she was an MA bc there was no, i am... and this is what ill be doing...) TOLD ME to put our drink on the floor of a dr office so it doesnt spill, i said no thanks i got it, and kept it on my side. We go on to the next room and wait for the dr. She comes in and is visibly angry. Asks what the symptoms are and as i start telling her she stops me directs the question to my MINOR daughter and disregards anything i have to say thereafter. Does the work up. Looks in her throat and sees what i said we were there for and continues to tell me this is not the picture of strep but ok we will culture her. Meanwhile, i told them my oldest daughter is currently being treated for strep and this kid developed the exact same symptoms days later. But ok. Thats why we were there. The work up wasnt the issue the demeanor from the physician, the disrespectful stopping of me talking and ultimately customer service as a whole, was. So i asked her what her name was and was she a dr or arnp because i didn't hear her and she has no name badge. She tells me her name and says "i said it before when i came in, you just werent listening." Then i asked what the issue was because she snapped at me and i was confused why i deserved that. She says well you already disrespected one of my staff. Now super confused, i asked what about, the cup? She very childishly says ok lets get her in here. I told her this is childish, she says, dont call me childish. If i wasnt so upset bc i know my kid has strep, i know how fast it get worse, i know she needs antibiotics and there are 3 other kids on my house that havent gotten it yet.... i wouldve laughed. I took my daughters hand at that point and left, i told her I will report her. Instead of thinking about the kid that is sick she said good luck with that. I am a nurse in fl and in this state everyone in this field, MDs included, have to wear a name badge. We have a right to know who we are discolsing our HIPPA protevted info to. Also everyone in pediatrics offices should realize the parents are also your patients. My daughter's care was delayed because Dr. Sonoiki was more angry at me for nonsense then interested in my daughter's well being. Shame on her. I will complete my complaints to the board and to dcf Monday morning. Google has beautiful reviews of her and her clinic. Of course all situations are different but having read this you now you know what is important to this dr. Is not your childs care. She should've been a police officer. I urge you to find another clinic as this doctor presented a disgraceful practice today. read more

I took my 2 year old to Healthy Minors when her pediatrician wasn't able to fit her in for a sick visit on a Friday. She had been sick with a sore throat and fever and had tested negative for strep several days earlier but I wanted her rechecked because she was still showing all of the signs and symptoms. When I explained this to Dr Sonoiki she became visably upset and proceeded to lecture me on the accuracy of the rapid strep test and said "I don't know why you people think you know better". She refused to do a throat culture on my daughter as she had already made her decision that it was a virus prior to examining her. My 2 year old did indeed have strep and tested positive at a different clinic. I have been a RN for 13 years and this is some of the worst bedside manner I have seen from a physician as both a nurse and a patient. Luckily we were able to find a provider to treat my daughter's strep before she developed serious complications. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more
