I was on a desperate hunt for a particular bottle of vermouth and after calling around, I finally found it at Healthy Spirits. The place was super cute inside and the worker who i imagine I spoke to over the phone was nice and helpful. I wish I stayed longer to peruse the shelves. Only came in for a bottle pickup, but I can tell this place has an amazing selection of anything you could possibly want. Love how they're open 7 days a week with good opening hours. This is a fantastic little liquor shop that knows their product. Staff is friendly and professional. I actually found something I can't find anywhere else in the City here and they stock it regularly. I won't disclose what that is because I don't want others to find it and buy the limited stock. Popped in while wandering around Valencia. Amazing bourbon and whiskey selection. Love the library like display for their liquor selection. Also like that they display the prices for their liquor unlike many places that force you to ask than awkwardly decline when the price is way too high. Didn't explore the rest of the store because I got fixated on the bourbon. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and I happily walked out with two bottles. read more

The single highest quality liquor store I have ever seen, bar none. 1. Everyone that works there knows their stuff, and are happy to talk to you at length about what you're about to buy. 2. I have yet to stump them by asking for a whiskey that they do not carry - It probably exists, but today I was looking for two single malt American whiskies that I had looked 3 other places for and not found. I came to Healthy Spirits and they not only had what I wanted, but several varieties of each of these somewhat obscure whiskies (St George Single Malt + Balcones Single Malt) 3. They have several bottles of whiskey in stock at all times that you will never find anywhere else - ask them about it when you go and they will point you to exclusive bourbons and whiskeys! 4. Always good service - I met the owner one time and he was happy to talk to me about his adventures around distilleries around the US! If you're looking for discount liquor this is the wrong store for you - I have seen some their liquors at Bevmo for 2/3 of the price. But if you're looking for something special or something specific this is the right place to find it. read more

It's nice to have a liquor store has a great selection of sours, stouts, and porters. I'm not really a fan of IPAs even though that what everyone seems to drink. They sell beers in packs or you can buy an individual can if you want to try it before getting a 4-pack. read more

My neighbors were buying me some lovely whiskey for my birthday, but they didn't know much. Long story short they paid $114 for a bottle of 12 year old Caol Ila which is a $69 bottle. This place is a scam, buy your whiskey elsewhere. read more

I have to say their staff at all locations are awesome and they have some of the best whiskey and beer selections in SF, hands down. My only gripe is that their pricing is out of control. Expect to pay secondary market prices for most of their whiskey's; basically double to quadruple retail. I also find it hard to see what's what on their shelves without binoculars. Had a great experience here! It's a beautiful space when you walk in (like a library of alcohol), but can feel a bit intimidating. They have a great selection of whiskey, tequila and interesting craft beers. They also have a small but interesting selection of cocktail making accessories, glasses and the like. The staff are approachable, helpful and unpretentious. It's easy to chat with someone about what you're looking for and your price range, and get thoughtful recommendations that meet your criteria. Usually I expect these interactions to involve some sort of upselling, but not here! I was recommended $25-30 bottles that exactly fit with what I was looking for (foundational spirits for cocktails). Their prices are actually on par with or below less "upscale-y" feeling liquor stores as well, which is a pleasant surprise given the level of service. read more

Excellent selection of scotch, Japanese whiskey and tequila (also high quality ice cream)! I was particularly thrilled to see the extensive selections of Laphroaig, Kavalan and Ohishi whisky. Most liquor stores would either not carry them or at the best, have one or two varieties per brand, whereas Healthy Spirits has four or more varieties under each distillery. I thought this store was very charming and had an elegant layout. It is not a huge place by any means; but they fit very many choices of beer, liquor and spirits in this place that looks like a library of alcohol! In addition to fridges stuffed to the brim with all kinds of beer, the rest of the space is filled with tall shelves stocked with other liquor. There is even a tall sliding ladder to access higher placed objects, sorry to the person working that day for my dumb joking about wanting to see every item on the top shelf. As another plus, I did not find this place to be particularly expensive or anything. If you find yourself in the area needing to do some booze shopping, I think you would be doing yourself a favor coming here. Cheers! read more

Healthy spirits is a very exciting collection of liquors and beer. They have an extensive collection of agave, bourbon and scotch, amaro, and beer. I have been looking for a specific scotch for a while and none of the bevmo's or duty free shops at airports had it bur I found it here. They also sell cocktail mixing equipment. read more

Limited selection of single cans, & most of them were not especially fresh (including one hazy that was canned in June!) Four-packs were more or less standard SF prices, in many instances less fresh than ideal, and pretty limited/unexciting selection. Guy working there was super friendly & helpful tho. read more

Super excited that I can now get the Healthy Spirits hummus without having to climb a hill. But that's not all- this place has an amazing selection of liquor and beer, and knowledgeable staff who can help you make a choice. All the Healthy Spirits locations have good customer service and recommendations, but this new location is the best one yet! Well laid out, beautifully designed and still the good customer service and solid-to-special selection of beer and spirits. Spirits prices can be a tiny bit higher than some of their competitors in the fancy liquor retail game but not too much out of line with SF and national trends. The best reason to go into any Healthy Spirits location in my opinion is to buy interesting beer (and get great beer recommendations if you're trying something new). I almost always buy a beer here, regardless of whether I actually need to. read more
