From my initial intake meeting, getting my prescriptions and directives, going under, and the aftercare, he went above and beyond my high expectations. Dr. Yoshikane and his staff were personable, knowledgable, and easy to talk to from the start. I immediately felt comfortable during a very uneasy and fear induced and anxiety ridden time for me. I had previously gotten my first two wisdom teeth removed over thirty years ago, and the experience was so horrible that I had put off getting the last two out this long. Dr. Yoshikane answered all of my questions and explained the plan and extra plans in the event the first plans weren't working for me after the removal. After the procedure I was under constant watch and care by Dr. Yoshikane through phone messages with my husband. He contacted us for the first three days even going as far as to check on me at midnight the first day of the surgery. Seriously! My husband was impressed with the level of concern and questions that Dr. Yoshikane asked him, because it truly showed he cared about his patient's wellbeing, and wasn't just jumping through a hoop. I just left my after care appointment and everything is going great! My surgical areas are closed, the medications are all working in tandem without residual pain from the surgery. I came to Orange Modern Dentistry for a routine checkup and cleaning, but unfortunately left after…read morenearly two hours without ever receiving the cleaning I came in for. Throughout my visit, I was asked multiple times by different employees when I had last had a dental cleaning, which I found unusual. Before my exam, I also had a very extensive series of X-rays taken. The part that concerned me most was the periodontal evaluation. The hygienist measured my gums and told me I needed a deep cleaning, which was extremely surprising because I have never previously been told I had significant issues with my teeth or gums. During the periodontal charting, my gum was also accidentally cut and became irritated. The dentist later came in, repeated the periodontal measurements, and got different numbers. After reviewing everything herself, she changed the recommendation and told me I did not need the full deep cleaning initially recommended, but instead recommended a more limited deep cleaning. By this point, I had been at the office for nearly two hours and was told I would need to come back another day for the actual cleaning. Because the recommendations and measurements had changed during the same appointment, I did not feel comfortable proceeding without another opinion. I went to a different dental office, where they performed another periodontal evaluation and told me my teeth and gums were healthy and that a routine cleaning was appropriate. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone who receives an unexpected treatment recommendation here to consider getting a second opinion before proceeding. I'm glad I did.

Moved into the area and decided to find someone more local than my previous dentist (who I…read morerespected). I made an appt with Dr. Hasan. Filled out my intake form in office noting I was pregnant about 3-4 times. They took me in for an xray. After the initial head scan, I was scanned maybe 3 more times in the chair. Only until I was spun around in the chair I saw the sign that said if pregnant to inform the tech. Tech had no idea I was pregnant due to my intake form not fully loaded on their end. You would think its standard of care to ask especially if they havent had the chance to check the intake form. The cleaning itself was subpar, it wad done by Dr. Hasan. The prep by the assistant flossing my teeth was longer than the actual cleaning. It felt like my teeth was only polished. And she recommended that I do some laser treatment because my gums had slight bleeding (granted she poked at them with a sharp tool). I was giving her the benefit of doubt that she had my best interest. She even mentioned given my pregnancy it is common to have more bleeding. I agreed to the laser but after speaking to another dentist at different office they said it was an elective procedure and I only needed to be more diligent in flossing. Of course my insurance didnt cover it and it was around $250 for a 5 minute procedure. I will not be returning here, they also overbook and I was there for 1.5hrs for subpar cleaning and a lot of waiting. My husband also had a visit the same day. They only did xrays and imaging and claimed he needed deep cleaning which will cost him around $300 after insurance. But it would make sense why he needs deep cleaning since all they do is polish your teeth rather than actually cleaning. Also never in my life did I have to hold my own suction tool to aid the dentist and assistant during a "cleaning" They dont have your best interest, they just want your money. Go somewhere else. Also overheard a pt coming back for follow up because his filling came out. Lol definitely have never heard of that happening.
