STAY AWAY! I never had an issue with a dentistry since I'm not fearful or hate them. This place is insane! The were drilling my molars to replace the metal filling and I told them they were shocking my face every time they touched it with the drill which was pretty painful, they literally asked me if I can just tolerate it rather than numbing me more. SMH I had a root canal with them done which got infected immediately. Not only that but they shaved my actual molar to almost non existent and kept making my gums bleed due to plying out their "temp" tooth. They are contracted with a dentist next door which helps with infected root canals. It makes me wonder if they purposely didn't care for me to send me that way. I've never had such an incompetent dental office. There's a reason why they are only open 2 days of the week now. If I could I would sue the sh** out of this place. read more

I went on 9/10/24 for my daughter and for my chipped tooth. They did my daughter's fillings but it was too high and was hurting my daughter for two weeks. I had to have the orthadontist office in Irvine (A referral that they gave to my daughter) fix it, but it wasn't the actual orthadontist that my daughter was there to see that fixed the filling, it was I guess their staff Dentist at Dentistry 4 Kids, Irvine. The referral to the Irvine orthadontist was also never sent to the orthadontist office in Irvine and they had no clue we were even coming that day, when I had set up the appointment over the phone weeks before. My daughter is still waiting to see the orthadontist at the referral location (Dentistry 4 kids Irvine) that they sent us too. This office for my chipped tooth #8, they said I had to wait 3 weeks for my insurance to authorize the procedure so I called my insurance reps on 10/4/24 to check the status of the procedure and she said that she didn't recieve a request from this office and to ask for a copy of that request form since their records could be wrong, but this office didn't want to provide me a copy of the request form for some unknown reason and I have been waiting like a dumbass for 3 weeks. Omg, very unprofessional and Victor said he doesn't keep records of the authorization forms for my insurance nor is it his job to do so or to send those forms to my insurance. But they keep on trying to upsell me a procedure out of pocket of course. The forms disappeared. What's the point of paying FICA taxes my entire working life, if when my daughter and I need to access those benefits, dentists, doctors etc...refuse to take the card, use it, run it, they double bill it, and try to upsell you on services, demand only cash for services and to make matters worse they won't treat you at all. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. They are the worst run medical office in Tustin. I didn't get seen until 12pm for my 11am appointment. The staff does not communicate anything to you. They made me wait outside for 40 minutes. The male staff is very aggressive and threatening. They asked me to sign a blank form for unknown reasons. The staff left me in the middle of my treatment to start work on another patient. THIS PLACE IS KNOWN TO SCAM PEOPLE AND UPSELL YOU ON UNNECESSARY SERVICES. They told me I need a specialized service that, conveniently, wasn't covered by my insurance. I refused and went to another dentist for a second opinion. WITHOUT telling them where I came from but that I felt like I was being scammed, they guessed I was coming from Tustin Smile Care. I called the office later in the day, wanting to let the owner know of my experience and the woman who answered the phone, Eva/Ava, hung up on my in the middle of me asking to talk to the doctor. When I finally was able to talk to the doctor (after having to call from a different number since they wouldn't answer after hanging up), the doctor did apologize for the way their staff treated me. However, she refused to acknowledge or offer any response for the claims of shady business practices, specifically upselling for unnecessary services. A dental malpractice happened in this office that I believe everyone should be aware of. A nurse was supposed to pull my temporary crown but instead she pulled the tooth next to my temporary and made it loose!!!!! at the beginning the dentist said that he was sorry and he will talk to Dr. Shah to see if he can cover an implant for that tooth (since the nurse loosen my tooth and I need to extract the tooth!) the next time that I went back to that office the dentist said that my tooth was loose even before that incident!!! and it is totally normal!! and refused to take any responsibly for a tooth that was mistakenly pulled in their office! They use dental assistants that are still under training (since they work for free), that's why they don't know what they are doing! and this is very alarming for people that are planning to visit this office. I paid $225 for cleaning with meds even though I was insured. The front desk reception argued with me that I did not have insurance at the time of treatment. I called dental insurance in front of him on speaker phone and it was verified that I had an active account. He was very rude to me and did not apologise to me. He was upset that I had realised the mistake and that I requested a partial refund. Another interesting fact that he charged me for the meds without my approval and asked me to pay upfront. Meds are not covered by insurance. For the exact treatment the year before I paid $140. I am still waiting on my refund which I plan to donate to the humane society. read more

Tustin Smile Care is definitely one of the best in the area! My experience from start to finish was extremely pleasant. The staff is very welcoming and helpful as well. I first came in for an exam and cleaning. My experience was great so I decided to come back to replace a crown. The Office Manager Anna is amazing. She explained everything to me in detail and was very thorough with all she provided. Dr. Bigdeli is also one of the best doctors I've encountered. She walked me through the entire process and explained to me the steps she was taking as she performed the work. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work and extremely happy with how everything turned out. well i decided to give this dentistry the benefit of the doubt, despite the bad reviews, but i am now regretting it. I showed up for my first appointment at 10:00am. the doors were locked and no one was in there, frustrating that i had to wait for them to open AFTER my set appointment time. i waited 20 minutes for them to tell me their "xray machine was broken" so i decided to book an appointment for another day. I went in again and (still waited 20 minutes to get sat) but the exam went fine. told me i needed to fill deep pockets in my gums and i said no because it was too expensive. i had to make ANOTHER appointment to get my teeth cleaned after two weeks of using a prescribed mouthwash. I went for that cleaning appointment today and i was almost charged for the procedure that i already said no to due to expenses. i then waited 30 minutes and almost left because the woman at the computer was coughing up a fricken lung and it was taking so long. why make my appointment for 11am when you dont even take me back until 11:30? then i get in the chair and not a single "thank you for your patience" or nothing. then i almost walked out AGAIN because the guy that was about to do my cleaning couldnt even figure out how to lower the chair!!!! but i had already paid. then my "cleaning" begins and it was just water!!! he just blasted my teeth (and face) with water from start to finish! the machine gave off a high pitched squeal that i thought was going to deafen me. then the doctor comes in, does the same inspection on my teeth that she did last time and tells me once again about getting my gum pockets filled. so, for the third time, i said no because i cannot afford that. (also it was recommended, not required for my health). also, i should mention the woman trying to advocate for her mother in the lobby when the staff was trying to schedule her to get her teeth pulled when that was never mentioned before, much less agreed upon. All i have to say is listen when people tell you to stop trying to upcharge all of your patients. if you are a good and honest dentist, you shouldnt need to upsale in order to make a living. i gave this place the fairest chance i could and it backfired. unprofessional all together and a waste of my time. listen to these reviews when deciding your next dentist. three days out of my month at this dentist couldve been one appointment at a normal dentist that didnt make me wait half an hour to even be seen. read more

Took my mom here to have a denture replaced. We walked in and the staff was in the lobby all talking about a patient who had made a complaint. Should have gone with my gut feeling and left but I was there with my mom. They said to have a seat and they would be right with us. The proceeded to talk for nearly 20 min. They then gave me a huge packet of paperwork. It would have been nice to get that when I arrived and could have filled it out while they were talk about the other patient. Then we waited and waited. My mom was taken back and was back there for an hour. The dentist was with her for 2 min. Then they came back and that they can't do anything and they will give a referral. I asked for the referral and they said well we really don't have any call your insurance. They of course asked for a co pay for the visit that they did absolutely nothing. STAY AWAY PLEASE, SAVE YOURSELF THE TORTURE! My insurance downgraded from PPO to HMO so I went to Tustin Smile Care due to it being close to my home. WORST MISTAKE EVER! As you walk in, you'll get hit with a smell that reminds me of a park bathroom (super gross). After that, get ready to be told you need a deep cleaning, antibiotic treatment, crowns, new teeth, dentures and braces all at the same time. They just want to upsell you on something you don't need. Not to mention the cleaning, O!M!G! the worst I've ever had. The lady dentist performed the cleaning when usually it's a hygienist, so this was odd. It was the most uncomfortable cleaning ever! She was aggressively grinding away at my teeth and gums with a squeaky tool that felt belonged in the movie Saw. It was so painful that I almost pushed her away, it almost felt like torture! She made my gums bleed and she tells me because they bled, You need an antibiotic that cost $125. Really?!?!?!? I should've read all the other reviews about this place. read more

Very satisfied, I've been at their both practices one in Huntington Beach and Tustin. Both practices have wonderful staff and they do really care about you and follow up with you each time. I visited Huntington Beach office and Dr Farank was very nice and checked each teeth and explained everything that I need to do. I've done my major procedure at Tustin. Dr Forouzan was very patient with me and didn't let me to feel pain at all. During the procedure she was so focused and was making sure I'm comfortable. I came here for the first time. I had my teeth cleaned and also had them fix my chipped tooth. The service was good and they were very friendly. The following day, my chipped tooth that was supposedly repaired came off during the night. I was quite upset because I'm thinking how bad of a doctor are you to repair it this way? Well, when I returned to the office, the doctor explained to me that this could happen due to some people grinding their teeth while sleeping. It was understandable after hearing the full explanation. It's been over few weeks and my teeth is doing fine. Will I go back to this office? So... last weekend I'm out on a date at my favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurant with a girl I've been dating for a couple of months. As I bite into my favorite appetizer, I hear a very loud clunking sound!! Yes, my front tooth, (not the 2 front teeth, but the one to the side of them on the left side) breaks in half which happens to be a veneer!!! The most embarrassing moment imaginable if you're out on a date!! I tried to hide it and fortunately she didn't notice it as much as I thought she did. Or maybe she was thinking "WTF just happened to him??!!" and was hiding it really well loll Basically, the porcelain veneer had broken in half. I would post a pic but I think it would scare most viewers lol I've known Dr. Foruzan Bigdeli for the past couple of years thru her husband, so I contacted her immediately. Fortunately, she was able to squeeze me in on Monday. Somehow she was able to add bonding to the broken veneer and use it as foundation. After she was done, my tooth looked EXACTLY the same as it did before the breakage!! Unbelievable!! So, I was only toothless for a day ;o)) She could have really charged me whatever she wanted and I would have gladly paid but I was VERY pleased with the cost also!! I won't forget how she saved me. She got a customer for life! I told her I'll be going back to her so she can re-do all my veneers next year as I'm due. Superb skill, dentistry talent and care from Dr. Bigdeli. I am new to Tustin Smile Care. My entire career had been in the concept of managing customer experience. I've had two appts now here. I didn't have dental insurance for a really long time. I basically still don't because I have Medi-Cal. Anyway. I was having some increasing tooth pain-- so I knew I couldn't hide anymore and had to go in. I chose this place because they take Denti-Cal and are right around the corner from my home. On the first visit they took a bunch of x-rays and did an exam. The only way they addressed my painful tooth though was that it needed a root canal and it would be several weeks (with the end of December holidays) to get approval from the a County to do a root canal. But they made it very clear they want to insure payment before they do any work at all. I stood at the counter checking out-- and I asked "what should I do for pain until I can get the root canal?" The dentist (Bigdeli) looked bothered as to why I was even asking. I was already on daily naproxen. She said to continue. Within one week my pain was unbearable. Forget pain with hot or cold liquids. Every time fluid of any kind washed over that tooth, I was writhing in pain. No dramatization. On a Saturday I realized I was going to be dehydrated if I couldn't even drink water. I call the office on a Saturday. Of course I do NOT expect them to be open -but on the machine I would expect a number to follow up with in an emergency. Every other practitioner I've seen of any time has an emergency protocol. You aren't going to go to the ER for a bad toothache tho. I ended up at an emergency dentist they I frantically Googled about 20 minutes away. Interesting they took my Denti-Cal and saw me within 30 minutes. The doctor drained my infected tooth and filled it. He even filled a script for antibiotics and Norco. That was in one week. This dentist offered nothing to manage pain. She took my insurance but wasn't so interested in taking care of an increasing pain level. They said my nerve tissue was exposed and the infection was pressing on the nerve of the tooth. She couldn't see thAf in her x-rays? After 3 weeks, I got in for my covered root canal. They charged me $150 "just for anesthesia "-- yet I don't think they gave me enough anesthesia to warrant $150. When the emergency doc gave me numbing gel and a few shots , I didn't feel his at all. Not even a pinch. I felt her Novocain shots though. They have nice big flatscreens in front of the dental chairs. Interesting that I was allowed to watch while I was waiting. But as soon as things got started--they clicked the tv off. I was never asked if anything would make me more comfortable. Did I want to listen to my headset? My understanding is almost all dental offices do everything they can to put a patient at ease. No one gets excited for dental work. I wasn't expecting "sleep dental " but offer me a headset, to listen to my own, or put a movie on or something. When I was finished the dentist again never addressed pain or what to do if I'm seriously uncomfortable afterwards. The dental assistant (male ) was really the only good thing. He was personable, compassionate, caring. I saw none of that from Dr Bigdeli. They rightly said the numbing would wear-off within 2 hours-- but whew-- when it did! I needed three naproxen and 2 more within 3 hours. This is a 12 hour OTC dosage. By 10:00pm I was back to infection level pain. I needed a Norco still leftover from the emergency dentist. They never addressed if I might really be hurting . Lastly, the office manager. He's kind enough. But when discussing a treatment that they are telling me is essential for my condition but my no insurance refused to pay $1.00 for.. he comes in and says "special deal just for you-- [ instead of $325 dollars -- $320 for you]] Wow. I'm blown away by your generosity. There has to be other dentists out there that do not bill themselves as "cosmetic " and "general" . That are a little more patient care centric . I'll definitely be asking for the cash price on deep-cleanings. read more
