If I could I would give it 0 stars. The place looks bad to match the service. I went in through Coastal Star who would "take care of it for free" (they are siphoning your insurance!). They have a contract with Coastal Star. How convenient! I went in due to a cavity. They messed up the filling two separate times. They came off within a week and asked me what I was doing. I was flossing to which they said "just be careful it can come off if you floss to hard. Their initial appointment was 15 minutes which was the first red flag. The filling was done extremely fast and I can tell why. I've demanded my medical records and they are now not taking my calls! They said it would take them a week or two to have them for me, it's been well over that time. I spoke to "Angie" from another location who says they are not affiliated. All the numbers are duds. This place is a scam. I have reported them to my insurance. Go to gentle dental they take medical/caloptima they are going to fix what this place could not. read more

Worst dentist ever. I went for a filling and they did a terrible job, my filling fell out and they supposedly fixed it but it was horrible too. and as a consequence I got an infection. So a second dentist sent me to a specialist to see what I really needed and now I needed a root canal. but when seeing a third opinion, they finally only made me a good filling, and the doctor realized that I had another cavity in the same tooth. but the glow's doctor never told me anything about that cavity. So when I went to complain to them, the Doctor refused to fix her horrible work, and of course they didn't take any responsibility. I would never recommend that place. read more

2nd visit, $25, for regular checkup and regular polishing with Medi-cal Insurance. They prepped for X-ray check up, but I had already told them I didn't want to do it, since I've had one X-ray check up done 13mths ago, and never had any dental issues. The whole dental clinic staff seemed annoyed, and the Dr. Torbati took 2 mins to check my teeth with just a mirror tool. The dental nurse was gentle and did a regular polish. Glad I didn't have any cavities?, but the dentist couldn't wait to leave the room despite my scheduled appointment. WT??? I had a different dentist check my teeth my first visit (much more friendlier and pleasant). Not the best vibes here. The outside of the clinic looks super suspicious, but the interior looks regular. read more

My partner and I have been coming here for some time and we had had good experience, for the lasts couple of months I been having calls and calls from the dental to come and do my yearly teeth cleaning and I have not make an appointment because I been busy. Today I wanted to make an appointment and the person on the phone was straight rude and completely disrespectful on my specific need of having an appointment on Monday. Did not wanted to help or even try to work with me to find a day for me to come, she just says that only Wednesday because it's the only time they are open and they are close on Mondays, weird because I'm on the phone with you at the moment on a Monday and I have a hard time believing that the office is only open Wednesday ( which she made it seems that Wednesday is the only day they are open). She refuses to tell me when the next Monday is available and just told me " when it's open we will call you" I know she won't fulfill it because my name is hard to spell ( at least my last name) and she did not had the desire to even ask how to spell it. When I try to ask her name she went completely silent and I keep saying "hello? You there?, hello?" I know she was there cus the call did not drop and for a moment she stood in the phone. So she refused to tell me her name, was rude and hang up on me after I was trying to talk to her. Please manager or the owner, you should have a talk with this person and how they should interact with patients. She Made me feel that my presence in getting my teeth taken care were not valid or not enough for her to try and work with me. I felt like I was not important enough to make an appointment with them. If you are really in need of a deep clean and need it for cheap (like me) then yes the groupon is worth the price, but I have nothing but bad experience with this place! The hygienist is horrible!! while numbing my teeth to get me ready for my deep clean, she straight told me that deep cleaning is not going to do much help for me and that I am going to need a lot more dental work. Of course you would say that to me.... Even though my mouth was numb, the deep clean was painful as heck cause she freaking when hummer on my teeth, so put so much pressure on it and it freaking hurt! She freaking broke a big piece of my teeth off , and one of the teeth i dont know what she did but it been hurting ever since, I been having trouble eating cause my teeth suddenly hurt when I bite with it. In all the years that I have purchased and used a groupon for a service, this is the 1st time I have had to leave a negative review. After purchasing the groupon, I called the office, no answer, just a recording to leave a msg. Since I had questions, I called during their hours of 10-6. After calling 4 times, msg. machine every time, I left a msg. (Not sure why a business feels the need to screen calls). Should have been my 1st clue. 2 days later, I received a call from Martha. I asked to schedule a cleaning for my mother, requesting a Tue or Thur as my mother has dialysis on M,W,F. I was informed they only do cleaning on M,W. So, I took the 1st appt. they had, a month out at 4:00. After waiting for the entire month and arranging for transportation for my mother, I received a call at 9:20 am the morning of the appt. It was Martha advising me that my mothers appt had been cancelled! I assumed the Dr. was ill but Martha advised me immediately that I never called to conform the appt!!! I advised her that I was never NOT coming to the appt. she stated 5 times, yes, 5 times that she left me a msg. THE DAY BEFORE to confirm and since I never returned the call, the appt was cancelled. I advised her that I never received her "message" . and that it was 9:20 in the morning of the appt. and that they do not open until 10:00, how did they get the appt filled so quickly and why wouldn't she reach out to me to verify the appt. before cancelling. She was quite rude, stating over and over that I should have confirmed. I was so irritated that after waiting a month, it is that easy to cancel on a new patient. She informed me that they were short staffed and they had to keep their appts. filled. She told me to quite yelling at her when I told her how ridiculous that policy was. So, if you are not home to received their request for a return call, (as you work until 7pm) and proceed to your appt. there will be none. I am a firm believer that the front office staff reflects the owner of the business. If the Dr. feels this is customer service that they approve of, I'm glad my mother was not seen by this Dr. I received a credit from Groupon, located another Dr. for a better price, got an appt. the following week, ( on a Tuesday). The Front office and Dr. were delightful. When I advised this office of my experience with Glow Dental, they advised me it was more likely due to my mothers age, they prefer not to service. read more

Came back today and so far, 20 minutes into my appointment I have had X-rays. I am here on my lunch so I have 40 minutes left. 40 minutes is the time they quoted me for the appointment. I still hold out hope. I watched someone clean some items with the water on full blast for over 17 minutes. Um, scrub the items with the water off please. #SaveWater Dentist was pleasant. He explained things well. I need a few things and also a few things I wonder if they are needed. I am now sitting here unclear if I am done or if my teeth are going to actually get cleaned. After calling out a few times, someone said Martha will be in. I am now in 46 minutes to my 40 minute appointment. I get some things take longer but I specifically asked for a reason. I still am unclear if my teeth are actually going to be cleaned. Nope, I got the list of stuff that needs to be done. Somewhere in the $1200 ballpark after my super insurance. No teeth cleaning. Although I called for a checkup, it was a consultation because I hasn't been there before (although I don't think they figured that out I until I was half way done). What a waste of time. I will be finding another dentist, one who hopefully doesn't waste water or time. Revised: I was quoted the following co-pay by the dentist for a crown quoted $410 each crown. I cannot even begin to explain how terrible the dental work I had done here was (I had to have it redone elsewhere) it's behind the times and I was still charged. After they did the work on my tooth my temporary fell off in a matter of days and I was in SEVERE pain for weeks. The staff and Dr. Torbati were friendly and very attentive to my needs. They help me to relax by playing my favorite music and even sang along to some of the songs :). Dr. Torbati walked me through everything as the procedure was in progress as well as letting me know that I can raise my hand anytime I feel any discomfort or pain. For those who have a fear of needles and the dentist, there is a way to alleviate your fears. Dr. Torbati puts numbing gel, then told me when to close my eyes before administering novocaine---I did not feel the needle at all!!!!!!! Go to Glow Dental, it's the best dental experience I've had in my life. You won't regret it. That's saying a lot coming from someone who had a dental surgical nightmare in the past and one who has a major fear of needles (still asks for butterfly needle use for babies when getting a blood test). I'm back here again today for the $99 teeth whitening after yesterday's deep cleaning and will definitely be back again in the future. So I went in because they were close to me and because they were able to see me the same day and I was in dire pain. Because I didn't have insurance, I wanted the dang tooth pulled. I had read that they charged $60 for a basic extraction. When I went in and Dr. Torbati examined my tooth, she said she thought it could be kept and it needed a root canal. I asked her what the difference was going to be, money-wise, and she said $20. It would be $200 for what she was going to do that day, or I could pay $180 for the extraction. I asked why the big leap in price--that was nearly triple the amount of what they quoted, and she proceeded to explain this non-sense about the complexity of the pull. I went forward with the starting process of the root canal, and when it was time to pay, I noticed the sign that said $50 off for you and the person who referred you. Well I explained that I was referred by my mother and asked if I could apply this. The doctor went through great lengths to make sure the receptionist read the note she wrote on a paper that she thought I didn't see. Which basically was that I could get the $50 off, but not that visit! Ha!! Overall, the dentist got the job done. Would I have come here as my first choice? no. I honestly dreaded going to the dentist so badly but I knew I needed to as I had put it off for too long. I was referred here by my insurance as they were close to my home and I am so glad I was! Both the Assistant and Dentist were so friendly and easy to be around. For the first time in my life I left the dentist in a great mood. The service was great too! The xray machine was top of the line and digital so the images showed up instantly on the computer. Wow this place' service is as good as how it looks. I should have ran fast when I came but I thought I should give it a chamce and not judge the book by its cover. Here is my detailed experience. I sent my x ray for a second opinion and they recommended similar works but no night guard bc I am not a grinder. I thought I couls trust them so...I agreed to let them do 2 fillings... Filling were shit. Why? they tried to jam some kinda brace to isolate the tooth they were filling, which ended up damaged my alignment with the other teeth and now everytime I eat there are a bunch of debris stuck there. Then the colors of the fillings were grey, yellows and bluish. I noticed and called them and they blamed it on my previous metal fillings. Wtf aren't you supposed to clean it out knowing that the new fillings are semi transparent? They agreed to fix it so we scheduled for the coming week first appointment in the morning. About 30 mins before I saw miscalled from them they told me they wanted to cancel my appointment. I was livid. Never again, waste of time and money. And guess what? they do not give a shit about the customer. A few wks later, one of the filling broke. Now I really have to go to a new dentist to get it fix. I have been here a few times for basic cleaning as well as deep cleaning and some fillings on teeth where roots were beginning to be exposed from my harsh brushing (apparently). They work great with insurance plans and get you into the office quickly. My only complaint is that I am unable to make an appointment for weekends to do something basic like a cleaning, when I work Mon-Fri generally around the timeframe of 9am-7pm, so weekday cleanings are hard for me to get done. read more

She refused to answer my calls and I went to another dentist. He said she's doing malpractice and now I need two root canals and crowns which costing me close to $6000 when I paid her to begin with. I'm actually surprised this place has good reviews, as it is a total scam. I got a flyer in the mail for Glow Dental, that offered a free exam and xrays and only $45 for a basic cleaning. My fiance had recommended that I go to his Dentist but it was further away and I didn't want to drive that far so I made an appointment at Glow Dental. The office wasn't very nice. Seemed old and small but this didn't bother me too much. I had mentioned it had been a couple years since I had my last cleaning, which is probably when they decided to try to hustle me into spending a ton of money. They did the xrays and barely looked in my mouth to tell me that I had 5 cavities. 2 were new cavities and 3 were actually old cavities from when I was younger that had the silver fillings. She proceeded to tell me that the silver shrinks over time and so it needed to be re-done. She also recommended a deep cleaning. The deep cleaning was on their flyer for like $194. I asked them to give me a breakdown of everything they wanted to do. The total came to over $1200. Luckily I left there without doing any of the work they suggested. I then decided to go to my fiance's dentist just to get a comparison and see if they said the same things. I went to Smile Studio on Harbor in Santa Ana. They had no idea I had already gone to a place days before and was comparing. I was told by the Dental Assistant (without even asking) about how the silver fillings I have are strong and the only reason I should get them re-done is if the look of the silver bothers me, or if they are damaged (mine were not). They had a WAY nicer office, a WAY friendlier staff, and they gave me the basic cleaning without needing any type of deep cleaning. Oh, and they said I had ZERO cavities. I don't have dental insurance, so I had to pay $120 for my cleaning, but I am SO SO SO happy that I decided to go elsewhere instead of paying $1200 for work I did not need. It was totally worth it even after having to say "you were right" to my fiance. Unless you want unnecessary work done to your teeth I recommend going elsewhere. read more

My parents were originally Dr. Shears patients. Ever since Dr. Torbati took over his practice we were a little hesitant about coming to Dr. Torbati. I decided to give her a chance.....and to my surprised I'm satisfied with the service that her and her staff has provided. Very friendly staff.....and very clean office......One more nice perk is that it's two sisters running the practice......Both very nice and friendly.....I don't have a preference since they both are just as good! I was in town to visit my family in orange county. All of a sudden I got a horrible tooth ache, I called a couple of dental offices to ask if I could be seen asap. ...no one had any openings. Luckly Dr. Torbati was able to take me in on a busy Friday afternoon. The wait wasn't even too long considering that t I was an emergency. My tooth ended up needing a root canal and a crown. I need to be back for my crown in one week. I don't care about the drive because the office did me a big favor by taking me in. I will definitely keep this office so when I'm in town. read more
