It's extremely unfortunate but I must advise you to steer clear! Nice with no problem solving skills and lack of communication is NOT what I need from my Dentist's staff. They have NOT been able to pull it together with the new manager at all!! They (manager included) are horrible at returning calls & following up to rectify a situation their staff messed up. I was not able to get my ortho or whitening because of consistent poor communication. I have had to chase them down for at least 3-4 months to get answers to a situation their managers/staff got wrong. I only got answers today because I was in the office for my regular cleaning! The office is not stocked with non-fluoride items for polishing teeth. My account was not notated correctly for my cleaning. On top of ALL of this (knowing I want ortho, whitening and I get regular cleanings 3-4 times per year) they couldn't find a way nor did they attempt to offer me a discount toward a future services for all the mess, confusion and frustration in order to keep me as a client. What company with good customer service sees a client being messed with at every angle & lets the client feel so unsupported? Why after I said I'm not dealing with this & won't come back was NO attempt made to keep me as a client? I was, however, handed a form to transfer my medical records after I said I will need the new Dr I find to be sent everything. How is the staff so nice but SO unresourceful at finding a way to keep a good client that was lied to, unable to get services and not communicated to properly multiple times? I really like Dr. Gonzalez. After a bad experience with my last dentist leaving work undone, I found this practice right by my house. I've had few appointments already with her, and I was impressed from the get go. I've never had a dentist so personable, friendly, as well as the office staff that took the time to coordinate care with my orthodontist to get work started. I tend to stay pretty loyal to places that answer my questions/concerns and can treat their patients with respect. Which I didn't get at the last office. Thank you! read more

I recently had an appointment for a routine cleaning that lasted 2 hours. At around that time, I decided to leave and I was encouraged to come back near closing I waited an additional 40 minutes just to get an exam that never happened. I was so incredibly disappointed and frustrated with the whole experience. Definitely would not recommend. Bad Attitude, No Service Performed, Empty Promises, My Wasted Time. One Star is too many. I made an appointment last week based on a sale flyer for $49.00, told them all I wanted was a basic standard cleaning, they took info and confirmed it would be $49.00. When I got there today they demanded all kinds of personal information like my SS#; Medical Records, Email, etc. I refused to give it to them stating again this is a simple cleaning. Then they agreed, did X-rays, then came in and demanded I fill to all my medical history. I said no, they told me to leave. I have not had my teeth cleaned since October 2020. I am 75 and on a fixed income. Screwing over Seniors seems this is what the world has reduced itself too. I wasn't going to leave a review until they tried to charge me a $100 late fee for cancelling my appointment within 24 hours. Couldn't make it due to poor weather while traveling out of state. But since they did, here i am. My first appointment (standard xray and cleaning, nothing else) took 3 hours. There was nobody in the waiting room, maybe one other patient getting a cleaning, and they took 3 hours in the middle of a weekday during work hours. My wife went another day, 3 pm appointment and she had to come back another day because they couldn't finish her standard X-rays and cleaning before closing. The insane late fee was the final straw as my appointment was months ago and I'm writing this now. If they waive it, ill take this down but if you're reading this, they haven't. So unless you want to burn $100 for your first late fee or 3 hours of your day if you do make the appointment, then I'd find another place. read more

This office is great at scamming people out of money. I had to go in for an emergency to get a broken tooth pulled and they refused to do any work until they validated my insurance and what was covered. They told me I had to pay nearly $500 out of pocket UP FRONT which I didn't have at the time, but they said they would accept half and then another half in a week when I returned for a check up. I was never able to go to my next check up because they called and canceled on me. I was supposed to see another dentist that was coming to cover her patients, but they canceled that one too. Then I got a bill in the mail for the remaining 250 something but my EOB with my insurance said my responsibility should be $90 TOTAL!! read more

I came in for front tooth filling which is always a challenge but she made it perfect.This was only my third time there as a new patient and must say I feel like I have been under Dr Christine Gonzalez's care for a lifetime. She and the team helped me look into future options at my request. The case work ups were quick and reasonable. She even looked into an alternate method I was curious about. Avoid this business at all costs! So here's my experience with Crooked Tatum Point Dentistry.. I called and scheduled a teeth cleaning appointment because they advertise very good prices. Upon entering I was greeted by a beautiful woman who checked me in. After seeing the hygienist, the dentist came in to see me. Doctor Christine Gonzales checked my teeth and said that my teeth were so bad that I needed a deep cleaning instead of the regular one, and also recommended to me a prescription for a high in fluoride toothpaste. I said I didn't have dental insurance which is why I was there in the first place, to get a good deal/price on a cleaning that I'm paying for out of pocket. They weren't able to clean my teeth because of the fact that my teeth "were so bad" that a regular cleaning wouldn't do anything to help fix/solve the "problem". After sending me out of the room, I was sent to speak with a well dressed man named Ben. Ben then informed me of my options for setting up an appointment for a deep cleaning. $1200!! I said I didn't have the money for that but I wanted them cleaned as well as possible without having to pay for the deep clean. He then informed me that they were not able to perform the regular cleaning on me because my teeth were so bad, and I had a few cavities as well. After trying to negotiate prices with me, I finally had it with this place and stormed out. Why do you think Ben dresses so nice to work at a dentist office everyday? It's primarily to invoke a facade. He makes a lot of money so he needs the company to make a lot of money. His image is of a professional con man. He was very influential in attempting to get me to schedule a future appointment for the deep clean, offering me payment plans and attempting to educate me on my own mouth. Ben is a con artist and a very believable one at that. Months after my appointment, I continued to get calls from them trying to schedule an appointment for my teeth to be cleaned. I told them I wasn't interested and the calls eventually stopped. I then turned to another dentist office to get a cleaning and check-up. After telling the new dentist office what I had been through with Tatum P.D. the dentist said that my teeth were fine and not only did I not have any cavities, but my teeth weren't even that bad/dirty! They cleaned my teeth revealing my pearly whites again and I gladly paid them the full amount of the work done, which was double the amount TPD was charging for the regular cleaning. I also asked the doctor about the prescription for the high fluoride toothpaste that TPD gave me, and told me that if I used that toothpaste it would help progress the decay of my gums and teeth more rapidly. The dentist also told me that some companies are like that, where they just try to "scam" people into getting more work done than is necessary to make more profits. So thankfully I got away from TPD because who know what else they would/could have conjured up if I was more gullible. Stay sharp people. This office and staff from reception to Dr. Gonzalez, is not only professional, they are accommodating, flexible, and easy to talk with. Valerie cleaned my teeth which I never liked having done but she made the experience easy, fast, and no pain at all! They have up to date instruments and cleaning is done quickly, again, without pain or sensitivity which is something I always experienced before being a client at Tatum Point. I went here at the recommendation of a coworker for my first time just last week and I'm so glad I did because everyone from Delaney at the front desk to Dr. Gonzalez, the office manager Vanessa and assistant Suhei made me feel very welcomed as soon as I stepped in. They were so sweet, and they understood my reservations about an expensive dental treatment (I do not have insurance) so they let me know I could do payment plan for treatment if I needed to. I had been putting off a dentist visit for a much longer than I should have and finally went in due to tooth pain. They didn't make me feel bad about the length of time since my last visit at all, which I was worried about because it is a bit embarrassing. Instead they told me they were happy I had the courage to walk in the door. The tooth in question was not looking so good (completely my fault obviously) so Dr Gonzalez said she would try to save it and if she couldn't, we could remove with the option of an implant or not. Luckily she was able to save the tooth and we are working on getting it fixed right back up! Mind you, as someone who doesn't have insurance, this was not "cheap" necessarily but I know that is the nature of dental work in general so I did not feel like I was overcharged or anything like that, plus the payment plan eased the financial burden for me quite a bit. Additionally, they got me in same-day as a new patient and then the day after next for my appointment to remove the decay so that was a huge deal to me as my tooth was really hurting at this point. If anyone has dentist anxiety or is worried about judgement I would recommend this office every time because I truly would be hard pressed to find a better group of ladies for the job. While Dr Gonzalez was working on my tooth, they even replayed a particular song I liked in my room to make me more comfortable and I can't imagine you'd find that anywhere else. Do not go to this place. I moved and needed a new dentist so checked this place out. They told me I had 5 cavities and gave me a price for what it would all be. Also recommended a voodoo gum laser treatment not covered by insurance. I thought this was strange as I went to my other dentist regularly and had just been 6 months ago and she did not mention any cavities. So I took the X rays and went back to my regular dentist, they did an exam and looked at the X rays and did not find any cavities. These people are scam artists doing unnecessary fillings for money and it is truly sad they are preying on people. Definitely AVOID read more

I was in a lot of pain with my wisdom teeth & she was able to refer me to an oral surgery that could get me in less than 48 hours later.
