The newly expanded office and team are just as great as before. I love entering the whimsical forest and seeing the woodland creatures. We try to go early so that the kids can get game time on the ipads. Their "dentist shirt" is the one item of clothing that they never lose because they get so excited to get a 2nd token for prizes. They've saved every shirt over the years, even if they no longer fit. I love Tatum pediatric and am so happy to have them caring for my kiddos.

Although my son was slightly freaked out by the experience (which is understandable), Dr. Cohen handled it like a true, experienced professional, in the quickest way possible, and was even able to comfort him by the end. I was not comfortable with this approach and brought my son to another dentist, who could find no evidence of a cavity after two visits with X-Rays. My almost 4 yr old got his first xrays and it was a handheld machine so super cool to see that, I would assume hardly any radiation as we didn't need to go behind a wall when the xray was taken. He is kind, gentle, and amazing with kids!! My son is 7 and had to have multiple visits, he didn't ONCE feel fear or nervousness walking in the door and I completely credit Dr. Cohen and his amazing staff! I mean, my kid is definitely awesome, but this was a tough situation and any child would understandably start to become worried..that was not the case for my son at all. Dr. Cohen absolutely went above and beyond for us. He even referred us out at one point for a complicated extraction with an oral surgeon (who was also awesome). That is proof to me of the thought and care he puts into his patient's treatment plans. He was always very forthcoming with us about everything. He and his staff seriously calmed MY nerves most of the times we came in ha! We are forever grateful to Brandi for recommending him and bringing us to this one of a kind pediatric dental office! I've been in multiple times and have always trusted and respected Dr. Cohens advice. He doesn't like to push x-rays, he does like to get them when they are over 2 but if the kids don't sit for them he says it's fine and waits for the next visit. He doesn't like exposing them to the radiation, he will wait till he is 100% positive the kid needs something like a root canal, he isn't procedure happy. He is very patient with the kids, I have one very shy son and he has never been afraid here. When you bring in the kids at 1 and 2yrs old he does a great job of making sure he goes at their pace and comfort. I found his office through a friend who owns many adult dentist offices, and I asked who is the best to take kids to, he said Dr. cohen and I have not regretted my decision taking my 4 kids here.
