[[HIGHLIGHT]]The lady working there was extremely rude and disrespectful to my 86 yr old mother.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will never take her there again. After the way she treated my mother when we went to leave she would not open the door. I had to threaten her with calling the police to open the door and let us out. She treated my mother horrible. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My mom's appt was at 8:30 . It was 80 degrees outside I knocked on the door at 8:40. The lady looked at us and went in the back I knocked again. She comes and opens the door telling me in a condescending tone i did not have to break the door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I said my mom's appt is at 830 it is 845am now its hot and she is 86 and does not need to standing in the heat. She said we'll she had things to do before she opened the door. I said then you should not have made an appt for my mom until later. I expect my mom to be able to walk in and at least sit down at her appt time. She continued being rude . She never took care of the hearing aides .I could not stand the way she treated my mom any longer. I told her my mom would never come here again . I did not realize she locked us in after we came through the door. I asked her to let us out and she told me to calm down. Mind you I never raised my voice or changed my tone while talking to her even though I was fuming at her treatment of my mom.i calmly told her I am and you need to open this door and let us out right now or I will call the police and tell them you are holding us against our will. I bought my hearing aids through Hear USA because it is the only company Kaiser insurance has to offer. I went today to have the wire attached to my hearing aids made a little longer, so they would sit more behind my ear and not on top of my ear with my glasses. It makes them painful. He said "They are a prescription and we can't change it". Well I paid a lot of money and I can only use them when I feel I have to. I would not recommend this place to any one. read more

Let me begin this review, but stating that I am 60 years old, and I have one hearing you since I was four years of age. So I am not a newcomer to the world of hearing aids.... I began using HEARusa when I moved to Bakersfield 5 years ago. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The customer service WAS (not is) first class until they replaced the front desk staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The guy at the front receptionist area, I think his name is Edward, is a complete JERK with a "Don't care what you say or do" attitude.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].. This last visit was the first time I had ever seen him in the 5 years I was (not anymore) customer. I brought my hearing aid that needed some maintenance. After finding y info on his computer, promptly informed me that since I had purchased my hearing aids elsewhere, and that it is "more than five years old and obsolete" they refuse to even touch it. I've NEVER been told this for ANY hearing aid I've ever worn, in 56 years!!!!! And I've had hearing aids that I wore 15+ years. This was AFTER he inquired who t health insurance carrier is. I asked him, "Why did I get my hearing aid serviced in the recent past then?" He said, "Because the people who are no longer here did not follow protocols, and that's why they are no longer here.... We can make you an appointment for a hearing test and fit you with new ones that are not obsolete." I said, "So you are telling me that the only option you can give me is to fork over a few thousand bucks to you, for new aids?" Go elsewhere! I went in to get an ear bud as I have been there several times in the past. He couldn't find my records he wanted to charge me $80.00. I went online under Amazon and purchased a set of three for $7.00. One comment he made "we are a corporation and we need to account for everything". what they did was one week after I got my ear phones my right ear went bad, they said to take the shots first, then come back and they would fix my make it right, but, I Wes 2weeks late, they said it would cost me 4000 dollars. I just walked out. I thought that they would make it right, but they left me with only one earpiece. This place is a joke, no one knows what they're doing. We live 40 miles away (one way) and went in to see what we needed to get a new set of hearing aids. The office lady said she would contact our previous Hearing provider to get all of the information so my husband could get new hearing aids through workers comp. We drove down for nothing. Wouldn't even adjust his hearing aids unless we paid 200.00 per ear to do so. They blamed the liaison for Workers Comp for not following through with what was needed to get a new pair. I wish we would have looked at the reviews before making an appointment with the Bakersfield office. Most are 1 star if there was a no star that's what our review would be. read more

Arrived for my son's 0900 appointment at 0850. Door was locked. Puzzled looking receptionist came out and told me they were closed. "We have an appointment." "Oh. Okay, then. Go have a seat and you can start your paperwork." I looked in the direction she was pointing, and there was another receptionist two feet away from where we were instructed to sit, not wearing a mask. I asked her to mask up, and she refused. "This ain't Kaiser." My son has complex medical issues, and we absolutely cannot afford him getting sick because a stubborn receptionist in a 'medical office' refuses to wear a mask. Also, if they don't enforce masking in the lobby, I have zero confidence that they're following any of the cleaning protocol for their equipment or exam rooms. read more

The very worst service possible. The person in the back office should not have any interactions with customers and probably with other staff. I live an hour and half round trip away and wanted to do the hearing test and talk with the person selling the aides on the same appointment. They rescheduled the appointment 5 times when I asked them why we had to reschedule so much the person told me it was my fault because I am the one that wanted the back to back appointments. Then I was having problems hearing with the new hearing aides. So I went in and they told I to get my hears cleaned which at the time I felt they were just trying to get me out of the office. I called Kaiser to schedule an ear cleaning. The nurse told me my ears do not need cleaning. They need some serious customer service training. read more

They don't answer their phones or return messages. I left my 3rd message this evening over the span of 7 days or so and their message machine states they get back to you within 24 hours?!? COVID or not, this is an utter disgrace. Meanwhile my 10 year old daughter is in excruciating pain and needing a hearing test before we can proceed with other operations etc to fix her ear issues. Way to go Hear USA. I really wish my insurance would allow me to take her elsewhere because trust me I would! read more

I came in to adjust a pair of hearing aids which I paid $85 and also purchased another pair which arrived two weeks later. I went back two months later for an adjustment of volume. The technician adjusted one pair and wanted to charge another $85 for the ones that I purchased. I told her I was not going to pay since I didn't even have them two months! This is a total ripoff! - so be careful if you need to go back and have them adjust the volume or purchase elsewhere. I had previously gone to another vendor (which I should have stayed with them since for the past three years they NEVER charged to adjust and I went to them approximately six times. read more

I had the most mystifying and puzzling experience with Hear USA. I scheduled an appointment 4 weeks ago with their audiologist for a hearing test with the understanding that if I needed hearing aids, they would provide me with a recommendation to submit to my insurance company and also show me what hearing aids they sell and explain their various features. But after the test, all they did was give me a copy of the hearing test. No one would talk to me about their hearing aids. They said they needed to talk to my insurance company. I explained that my insurance company doesn't deal with the vendor, my plan has an allowance that reimburses me a set amount after I make my purchase and I wanted to start shopping. I still have not received the promised signed recommendation nor have they made an appointment to tell me about their hearing aids and their features. They have never even offered me a brochure. I have called them three or four times. I don't understand their attitude. read more
