She comes and opens the door telling me in a condescending tone i did not have to break the door. I said my mom's appt is at 830 it is 845am now its hot and she is 86 and does not need to standing in the heat. She said we'll she had things to do before she opened the door. I said then you should not have made an appt for my mom until later. I expect my mom to be able to walk in and at least sit down at her appt time. She continued being rude . She never took care of the hearing aides .I could not stand the way she treated my mom any longer. I told her my mom would never come here again . I did not realize she locked us in after we came through the door. I asked her to let us out and she told me to calm down. Mind you I never raised my voice or changed my tone while talking to her even though I was fuming at her treatment of my mom.i calmly told her I am and you need to open this door and let us out right now or I will call the police and tell them you are holding us against our will. Nobody deserves the way that lady treated my mother. I will never take her there again. I am telling everyone I know not to go there for hearing aids.

I was referred to Andersen by my P.CP. after I had voiced concerns about my hearing. I had to call…read morethe office numerous times and days to actually talk to a live person. The recording says that due to high call volume it may take 48 hours to get a callback. I waited 2 months for my appointment once I was able to talk to a live person. It's a tiny office off of 21st Street. It was not busy when I arrived. There was one receptionist working. I filled out my paperwork and was called back within five minutes. Mr. Andersen didn't ask me any background questions or try to understand what kind of trouble I was having. He didn't do a physical exam of my ears. He just told me to step into the booth which was not soundproof. I could hear the secretary in the other room. Even after he had closed the door. He placed some very old looking headphones on me. He stepped out of the booth and instructed me to signal to him through the glass window when I heard a sound. He tested different sounds and tones at various frequencies. He then assessed my word recognition and that was the end of the test~ 5 minutes total. He came into the booth and said my hearing was in normal range. I took a brief glance at the paperwork that he held up and then he walked away. He said he would forward the results to my P.C.P. I even googled "what to expect during an audiogram" and what I experienced definitely wasn't thorough, informative, or helpful.

There's a small admin office, then you're ushered into a dark second office where "Tony" has his desk. The far wall behind you is a half-plexiglass divider to another populated office or meeting room that is quite loud with people. But astonishingly, there is no sound-isolation booth from where a proper hearing test can be administered, and the ambient noise from the other room obviously interferes with your test results. This is a major issue, as the precise settings for your eventual hearing aids have to be established from a proper test. I also did not receive a conductive hearing test during this session, and later found out when I went to another provider, I have a conductive hearing loss issue that needs to be diagnosed by an ENT, and Tony's omission of that second test may or may not be in actually violation of California law. The third test I received from the other provider was a cognition test that checks for possible early dementia, which is a possible result of hearing loss in older adults, and Tony didn't administer that, either. Suffice to say, I believe the only reason this outfit is in business is to push hearing aids, which, if you buy them here, will most likely not be calibrated correctly. They obviously have no care for your hearing or well-being.

I keep biting my tongue, I called his office to ask if maybe he might have hit a nerve because the numbing wouldn't go away and he was mad that I asked that he got very rude and said that I had waited 49 years to get this surgery when I should've gotten it as a child. So now all of a sudden it was my fault. He said he couldn't tell me how long my tongue would be numb for it could be one week or a few years I was like what?! If I would've known that I would have no sensitivity or feeling in my tongue I would've never had this surgery but he said it was as easy as pulling a tooth then he had the audacity to get mad when I had questions. He said he had told me the pros and cons before hand which he never did like I said he stated it was like pulling a tooth. Recall these are hearing technicians, not a doctor among the staff. I made and kept a hearing appointment for my IHSS recipients all the way back in March. We recieved the hearing aid in May and on our follow up appointment 2 weeks later these technicians realized the discomfort being created by a grossly oversized hearing aid. We were told that we would have the correct size hearing aid two weeks later. My recipients had me call 2 and a half weeks later to find out where the hearing aid was. I am obviously the worst person for wanting to have a tracking number because I am done hearing 2 more weeks from these professional technicians. These professionals have told this elderly woman, on her 79th birthday that they are now canceling her order lol. Because they will not work with her ihss provider. I beg all your pardons. You folks have to do a much better job. I just want you all to know that now we have to report this to medi-cal and make sure this place refunds all the monies charged by their complete lack of professionalism. These technicians, are not doctors and have a very high opinion of themselves and their repeated short comings are not to be addressed or highlighted. After 11 weeks this smells at least completely unprofessional if not fraudulent. Now that my recipients have had the pleasure of seeing and using their aids they have finally come to terms with the fact that amazon has hearing aids for 50 to 100 bucks for a set that work just as poorly as the hearing aids being offered here but never actually delivered.
