The communication with the audiologist was difficult. Everyone seemed very accommodating and we were able to get an appointment quickly. However, the report received post appointment contradicted information discussed in the visit. Confused I called and left a message with the receptionist explaining the issue. I did not hear back until I cancelled an upcoming appointment after receiving a second opinion from another. This seems like a nice place unless you need questions answered. read more

This office and staff lacks complete care and empathy. I was hospitalized for 18 days and are currently recovering from a serious ailment that prevents me from attending my appointment which I wasn't aware of until I received an email from them less than 24 hours before my appointment. Upon calling to reschedule I was informed that I would have to pay a $75 fee. I tried explaining my hardship but was met with a stone cold lack of empathy. After hanging up I received a text invoice for the $75 before I've even missed my appointment! The text read that the charge was for "services rendered that were not covered by insurance". However, that is a lie because I haven't even been to the appointment yet! I've never missed an appointment with their office and also invested a lot with them by purchasing a new hearing aid. It is apparent they are trying to add additional income at the expense of patients who struggle to make an appointment for whatever reason. God forbid someone has a serious accident the same day and cannot make their appointment! It definitely sounded as if they would have absolutely no grace for anyone who unfortunately cannot make their appointment. If this is the way they choose to treat loyal patients, I would highly encourage you to LOOK ELSEWHERE for your audiology needs. read more

Since my son was born at a birthing center instead of a hospital, I needed to find an audiologist for his newborn hearing screening. My midwife recommended Heard It Through The Grapevine and they were great. It is a small facility, very cute and very clean. We were welcomed with a smile, checked in quickly and easily and we were seen on time. The doctor was very easy going and worked with me and my son to get his readings accurately while also keeping him comfortable. I appreciated her patience with us both and allowing me to nurse while she performed the tests. If I ever need more audiology services or know someone who is looking for a recommendation, this will be my go-to spot. read more

This office will give you a print out that shows the clinical results of the hearing test but will only provide verbal feedback for functional results but will not put it in writing. Many other options in the mid cities area that will give you a full report. We paid a 2nd fee to another audiologist that were an absolute pleasure to work with and provided a comprehensive report. We highly recommend you look for another provider and only choose Heard it if all others are closed and this is the only option. read more

Absolutely the best experience with Heard it through the Grapevine audiology!! Even during Covid times the customer service and attention to safety was at the top of their list. My mother, who is in an assisted living community and in quarantine, couldn't hear us while talking on the phone. We made an appt with Carmen an audiologist and she made every effort to assist us. While they were making my mom's custom ear pieces they even loaned us a pair to try them out so my mother wouldn't feel so cut off from her family and friends. We were notified her ear pieces were ready for pickup, however, my mother was diagnosed with Covid and went to icu and subsequently passed away within 2 weeks. We returned the hearing aids and offered to pay for the time she had them on loan and for the custom ear pieces they had made for her and they wouldn't take anything and offered us their condolences. I have to tell everyone I wish there were more companies and individuals who showed this type of empathy and compassion to others. Was referred by my PC and called for an appointment. Receptionist was pleasant, asked for my insurance information and booked my appointment after advising me to either fill out new patient documents on their website or arrive 15 min early to fill out in office. There would be a fee to reschedule if either of these 2 things didn't happen. I filled out the online forms. Arrived and was presented with a pre-printed form advising me that my particular insurance did not cover their services and there would be a minimum fee and/or up to $200 for today's office visit. This was a photocopied form, so it is obviously used on a regular basis. NO PRIOR MENTION at any time of this possibility. The office worker responsible for insurance verification approached, identified herself as such and then told me that it was my responsibility to ask them to call me back if the insurance didn't cover their services. It went down hill from there. The patient is supposed to somehow know what is covered. Upon further questioning (I was very upset since my out of pocket had been met much earlier in the year so visits were supposed to be 100% covered) I learned that of the 'many many insurance companies' they deal with only 2 - 3 of them cover their services and they couldn't possibly advise patients/clients upon booking that there would possibly be a coverage issue and the services could be an out of pocket expense. I call BS. EVERY SINGLE doctor's office I've ever dealt with advises patients if there will be an out of pocket expense. It is a waste of everyone's time and resources to book an appointment if the patient leaves before the doctor can see them due to monetary issues. 2 stars and not one because the receptionist was very polite and offered to give me a list of other providers. Should have checked online reveiws. read more

The staff at this office is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about hearing loss. I always feel welcome and at ease, and they all speak clearly! Carmen is the sweetest and smartest audiologist I've ever seen. I have been using a LiNX2 hearing aid in my right ear since about June of last year and I absolutely love it! I am deaf in my left ear and have developed horrible tinnitus in the last few years. I've tried other hearing aids that made the ringing worse, but the LiNX2 seems to help me hear through it with ease, even on bad days! I had to leave my last profession, because other hearing aids just weren't helping me at all anymore. I love being able to connect with my iPhone to make phone calls, listen to music, and adjust the settings on my hearing aid for the different situations I am in. And, all of the extra accessories are amazing as well! I can hear the TV with the TV Streamer without having to use subtitles, and I love that my fiancé can clip the mini microphone on his shirt so that I can hear him while he is walking on my left side! We like to take strolls outside, and it becomes cumbersome having to always keep him on my right side. Now, it's not an issue! The microphone is also amazing for class lectures. I can hear the professor and take notes at the same time! And, the phone clip makes phone calls super easy and hands-free, which is great, because I'm always on the phone in the car. I cannot speak highly enough for this technology! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!! I feel normal again! read more
