A nice little place at MCI. We stopped in for breakfast and tried the omelet with tomatoes and mushrooms, and a bowl with bacon and avocado. We both also got the tots. The eggs in both dishes were cooked very well -- not over cooked like you get so many times. The tots looked really good but tasted like they were cooked in oil that something else had been I overcooked in. They had a burned taste, even though they didn't look burned. The atmosphere was pleasant. There was music and nice decor. The server was fine. Overall, we'd try it again, but hopefully that oil in the deep fryer gets changed! read more

For an airport restaurant, this wasn't bad. They were horribly understaffed, so it took a long time to place an order or get food. Don't go if you are in a hurry. The food was mediocre at best. First time at the airport. Sat down and my family member wasn't feeling well. We're were welcomed by a young lady who asked us if we wanted to eat or drink. I stated that my family member wasn't feeling well but maybe after we would. A few minutes later, a heavy set, blonde lady who appeared to be the manager unfortunately asked us if we were going to eat or drink and I told her not right now he's not feeling well. She didn't like that response. She stated that if we wanted to lounge, there is a lounge in the airport. Then, she waddled away. There were maybe two patrons in the restaurant so if she is so concerned with getting a tip or making her money to provide for her family, she should probably have a better attitude. It's basic customer service. It wasn't appreciated and we decided shortly after to not spend any of our hard earned money at this location. If she was in fact the manager, she should probably work on customer service, hygiene and professionalism. Clearly she doesn't know any of those listed above. read more

Third time coming here with unpleasant service. I ordered a drink and then decided to add a breakfast sandwich and the gentleman at the bar commented " you could have told me before I ran your card" the same gentleman also greeted us on our last flight and was so unwelcoming that we just left. Stopped by for a late breakfast early lunch before my flight home. It is around 1130am on a Thursday. Ambiance is typical airport eatery but a bit more of a nicer feel. The place was not crowded I was the only patron at the bar. Hannah my server was pleasant, smiling and efficient. I ordered a large drip coffee and the Avocado toast. The coffee came right away and the toast took a few minutes. The food was very good and obviously just prepared. Value was excellent for an airport - $18. 66 with tip. What saves this review was the surprisingly fresh ingredients in my breakfast sandwich and the fact that my food was hot, which told me that it was made fresh and brought immediately to my table. The breakfast Sammie has everything you want in a breakfast sandwich, tomatoes, lettuce, an egg over medium, and slices of crispy bacon. The tater tots were greasy but not in an overwhelming way. What lost points for this location is the customer service. There's a host stand but no host so you'd hear the staff yelling "it's self-seating" to customers almost every five minutes. A sign would be helpful for them. My waitress was slow and overwhelmed. She couldn't remember the five breakfast options offered and resultantly returned to many of her tables to ask follow-up questions about the orders. She was not efficient with the way she moved through the restaurant and seemed to have a hard time multitasking. My water never got refilled and it took nearly 10 mins for her to realize my plate was empty to bring the check over. There were other waitresses working the room, taking care of their customers, and helping my waitress with hers. I can tell the staff hustles here and that should be credited. Where do i start They have no customer service whatsoever The bartender is a ball of sunshine with her shitty attitude and excitement to show up to work. Started off by giving me attitude for wanting to order breakfast. Honey, if you don't want to work then quit cus you lost a customer that was going to order a drink while waiting. Her shitty attitude still got a tip cus I'm a firm believer on tipping regardless. I genuinely don't understand why management doesn't crack down on employees clearly showing their disinterest in working. When i went to pick up my order, she was across the restaurant on her phone in front of customers. 5 mins after standing in front of the bar that she has no customers at(i wonder why), she states that the order is in front of me. Doesn't even make an effort to walk over but states this across the restaurant. I've worked the service industry for years and this is beyond laughable. The sour dough bread is a house specialty. However, my wife's toast arrived cold. My toast never appeared. She ordered two eggs over well which arrived closer to scrambled with the yolks well-broken. I ordered an omelette with provolone cheese, turkey, and mushrooms. They were out of mushrooms so I settled for some bacon crumbles. There could not have been less cheese on this omelette if they tried. A generous portion of potato 'tots' came with both meals. There was no need for such a portion of a hard, crunchy, flavorless product. Our server, Anthony, could not have been less engaged with us and with his job. He did not offer or provide water with our meals. He was oblivious to the fact that we finished our meals and we were signaling for his attention. We will not return. read more

Ordered the lemon chicken and honey glazed salmon. The chicken had no lemon sauce or lemon flavoring whatsoever. The salmon was also lacking any honey glaze or seasoning, and was raw inside. Poor service. Cold food. This place was close to our gate. Needed a quick breakfast. We sat ourselves and waited for over 5 minutes for a server. Walked up to the bar and asked for a menu. The server said she would be right there. Waited another five minutes. Meanwhile I grabbed a menu I had seen at the bar. She finally came over and handed us one menu and said to me in a condescending voice, "It's too early for that." OMG. Ordered some juice.
