I tried weed to do SOMETHING for it,…read more(not the best idea) got addicted, got off of it, relapsed, and have as of two months ago quit fully. I was treated like a junkie when talking about medication. I was medicated and diagnosed with adhd in the past but a 40 mg vyvanse prescription scarred me for life as a middle school aged kid. They wanted a drug test. At the time, I had been smoking. I admitted that, and they promptly denied me care because they said I'd sell it in college. I have my diagnosis. I gave yall my diagnosis. Is that not the requirement? I even offered to quit, take a drug test after three weeks, and come back. They denied that too. All because Dr Guevara over there is scared of his license being put in jeaprody. You want your patients to tell you guys the truth, yet when they do, it's thrown back in your face. Even Dr Brockmeyer treated me like a 10 year old child. Absolutely rage inducing. Never ever recommending. My whole family is no longer in his patient base.

My experience at this facility has been terrible honestly. I was fooled by fake smiles and realized…read morethat just for a 30 minute conversation I was being charged over 600.00. I returned from overseas and just wanted to update the family doctor on what I've been doing medically since then. I thought the new doctor Katzfy was approachable and nice to talk to, and I am new to the healthcare system in the United States. Imagine my surprise when I get a 671.00 bill. The reception, billing staff, and even the nursing seemed completely nonchalant about the exorbitant fees. I gained sympathy only from my insurance when they acknowledged that the fees they charged were completely abnormal for a first time patient visit. I cannot recommend this place, nor the doctor I visited anymore because I cannot trust them.

My brother came to the clinic to be evaluated after having cough, chest congestion, and wheezing…read morefor over 1 week. Our father is a transplant patient who was about to be discharged from the hospital. Since my brother was not getting better after 1 week, we came here to ask for a z-pak prescription. The nurse practitioner, Lisa Park, refused to prescribe him the antibiotic, telling him to "ride it out" and that his cough would be gone in 4-5 days! And to come back if not better! Excuse me ,how long have you been practicing? Don't ever promise a patient that their cough will be gone in 4-5 days!! Cough can last for weeks and any good and competent medical provider would know this! I don't know why she acted like he was asking for a narcotic prescription. So now it is 5/17/24 and his cough has only gotten worse! Last night with a slight fever. I hope he is not coming down with pneumonia as his Covid and flu were negative! I am a physician assistant, but practices in a different state. I have prescribed my patients azithromycin before for these very symptoms and I have also taken it myself! It does help, so I am extremely upset and disappointed that the NP Lisa Park refused to prescribe a simple medication that could have helped my brother feel better. She simply brushed him off, did not listen or consider that we have a family member who my brother had to take care off that is immunocompromised. I hope no one else has to experience this. What a terrible experience. I only wish patients will be taken better care of and listened to. My brother didn't come here because he just started experiencing symptoms. He came here because he was sick and was feeling worse after 7-10 days of symptoms! Please let better care of your next patients!

This is not typical of the other UK clinics I have been to. This non-medical staff is insensitive…read moreand rude. It appears they are over staffed as often sitting doing nothing. I was 17 min.late for B12 shot and I was told because is was over the 15min allowed. News to me! I am standing there breathing with difficulty and they ask was traffic heavy?! I get a message that evening that I could not be abusive to staff. When I went back to reread and review who it* was from the nasty message was no where to be found on my portal. At least the dr. Is decent.

Dr.'s used to be friendly, compassionate and more concerned, but this visit sucked, big time! I will say that I like KU hospital and its affiliates. I know not everyone does. We all have our preferences and that's ok. I'm just very thankful that I did not have to go to the ER. The wait would've been much, much longer. The facility was not crowded when I arrived, but they call you based upon the most severe to the least severe. Lisa checked me in and was second to none. I don't know if I've EVER had a service where kindness, professionalism, compassion and an eagerness to serve were so phenomenally displayed. She was absolutely unbelievable. She even handled an irate person with such coolness and grace. Her expertise is unmatched! I appreciate the person that she is and how well she did her job and was a superb representation of KU as a whole (recognize and honor her management). Kudos to you Ms. Lisa, I'll never forget how you made me feel despite being ill. You brought hope to my day. Thank you again. I immediately completed paperwork and took a seat. I waited a while and the waiting room soon filled up, however, it was nothing like the hospital ER. My name was eventually called and the medical assistant was kind enough. Sadly, I can't say the same for the attending Urgent Care Physician. He left something to be desired. He was as friendly as a pile of bricks and acted so insensitive and unconcerned. I felt like I was a bother AND a leper. His bedside manner was past horrible and he acted scared to examine me. All he had to do was look in my throat, ears and listen to my heart. Talk about ticked off and uneasy all at the same time. I was livid! When you're sick you're already uncomfortable and don't need to feel more uncomfortable with a stiff, unkind, less than thorough physician. His tone was abrasive and he examined my ears very roughly. When I squinted he apologized. If I didn't have an ear infection when he was through I should've had one or busted eardrums! The cold atmosphere was so thick you could have cut it with a knife and to top it off, I left with a diagnosis that I wasn't sure of. No bloodwork was taken and I thought more questions should've been asked. It was just an awful experience, Period. I feel for others that may have this experience or similar with this Doctor. RETIREMENT. What does this mean? It's time. KU Administration, YOU Know. I'm quite sure you've heard this before. Me: When you see something, say something...I did KU: When you hear/know something, do something... Enough said.
