Enter my trusty sis-in-law who had used and recommended Abda. Jerry, the owner met me at my house to measure and determine what I was looking for. He was very helpful with his suggestions/recommendations. For example, I wanted cordless top down-bottom up cellular shades, but my windows are tall and I can't reach the top, thus would not be able to use the cordless top down feature easily). He also worked within my budget, as he offers a wide variety of brands/styles. My shades arrived quickly and I was scheduled for installation within a week after they arrived. The installers were professional, friendly and fast. I was not only impressed by the quality of the product, but also Jerry's measuring skills. Each one is a perfect fit! My custom sliding door drape took a bit longer, but through no fault of Abda's (the finials were on an eternal backorder). However, once they arrived I was scheduled within 2 days to have it hung. Jerry was kind enough to give me a restaurant gift card for my trouble! I can't say enough good things about this family run business. Jerry, Pat, their sons and other employees are top notch. I'd highly recommend this company to anyone looking for window treatments.

Tracy in sales was very helpful when there was a hiccup after my original sales contact resigned. And Marissa, well she is one of the most professional, kind and understanding representatives of a business that I have encountered. She replied promptly, always provided updates when promised and highly contributed to a successful installation.

We chose Zinga's because of its reputation and the emphasis it places on customer service…read more Unfortunately, our experience has been the exact opposite. In March, we paid a 75% deposit on a $14,000 order for motorized patio shades. We paid the remaining 25% on Memorial Day, the day of installation. We were told the installers would arrive between 12:00 and 2:00 PM. They didn't arrive until approximately 4:30 PM. When they arrived, they asked where the electrical power source was. I explained that we had specifically paid extra for rechargeable battery motors so that no electrical wiring would be needed. Instead, they installed plug-in motors with long white power cords hanging from our black shades. The next business day, I contacted Zinga's and was eventually told they had ordered the wrong motors and would have to replace them. No timeline was provided. Several weeks later, I was notified that the correct motors had arrived and was given an installation date of July 13. I called and explained that, because this delay was the result of Zinga's mistake--not ours--I hoped they could move us up in the schedule. They declined. Then, on July 13, no one showed up. When I called, I was told that I had not confirmed the appointment, even though I had confirmed it during my earlier phone call when discussing the installation date. Rather than acknowledging the confusion or attempting to make it right, I was told I would simply be placed back in the queue for the next available installation date. At this point, Zinga's has had the majority of our money since March and the full $14,000 since May, yet we still do not have the product we purchased. We have now missed much of the summer waiting for patio shades that should have been installed months ago. Perhaps the most disappointing part of this experience has been the complete lack of accountability. Throughout this process, no one has apologized for ordering the wrong product, for the installation delays, or for the missed appointment. No one has offered any accommodation or demonstrated any sense of urgency to correct a mistake that was entirely on the company's side. Mistakes happen. What customers remember is how a company responds when those mistakes occur. Based on our experience, Zinga's has fallen far short of the level of customer service that led us to choose them in the first place. I hope others don't make the same mistake we did in trusting Zingas.

I believe this company has lost its luster…read more They were "five star" when I had 25 window blinds and four electric blinds installed eight years ago in my new house. The product was good and the installation was flawless. But now eight years later they seem to put the customer last. This evaluation stems from a recent encounter when I requested help from the company after a battery for one of my electric blinds wouldn't accept a charge. Their immediate recommendation was to replace the motors for all four electric blinds at a cost around $1,000. Needless to say, I was stunned by their recommendation. I was pretty sure it was either a bad battery or a bad charger. They offered to send a technician out to assess my problem as long as I agreed to pay a $150 trip charge. Well that offer just sucked all the joy out of me. Instead, I asked if I could speak with a technician so I could describe what I discovered after conducting some basic testing. They said they would have someone call me, but nobody did. Further testing supported my belief that the charger was bad. I found an exact replacement online for the device I had, but the manufacturer had discontinued it. That told me everything I needed to know. I found another charger on Amazon for $15 and it was delivered the next day. Thank you Amazon. The new charger worked. Problem solved. I have to say I was extremely happy that $15 for a new charger saved me from spending $1000 to replace four window blind motors.......plus a $150 trip charge (eye roll here) .... :). Bottom line: they might still do good installations, but their follow-up support needs some work.

The shutters slats don't open because they hit the wall rather than the window clearance. I was told it would be fixed 4 in 4 weeks. I called after 5, spoke to the president and he told me he's look into it. I called twice more that week and texted him twice. Crickets. I gave them time to fix it and ONLY called after I gave up and posted a negative review. That phone call was to berate me for not "knowing" that after 5 months they were going to reorder them. I lost thousands because they continued to screw up, blame others, and ignored me. I won't give them another chance. A verrry expensive lesson.

The motor and battery both have to be replaced. Obviously a bad design. We have 7 in our great room and every couple of months we have issues with batteries/motors. We expect the batteries to run down, but going bad within a couple of years then being bad is an issue. The blinds are quite pricy, then add having to buy new motors/batteries per shade every couple of years is absurd! They are seriously understaffed on the call center as well, it is always a wait to get hold of them and it is very common that the call gets dropped while talking to the customer service desk . The field service guy usually responds pretty quickly but it sure is frustrating

We have had to call the company 5-7 times with in 3 years to replace the motors. The shades were $7000 and the repair is $94. Currently we have a shade down in our great room that we cannot put up. We are told they have to order the standard motor which will take about a week to come in; then they 3 days after that they will sent someone out to install the motor. The company should have motors available at all times; especially when the motors go out so frequently.
