We chose Zinga's because of its reputation and the emphasis it places on customer service. Unfortunately, our experience has been the exact opposite. In March, we paid a 75% deposit on a $14,000 order for motorized patio shades. We paid the remaining 25% on Memorial Day, the day of installation. We were told the installers would arrive between 12:00 and 2:00 PM. They didn't arrive until approximately 4:30 PM. When they arrived, they asked where the electrical power source was. I explained that we had specifically paid extra for rechargeable battery motors so that no electrical wiring would be needed. Instead, they installed plug-in motors with long white power cords hanging from our black shades. The next business day, I contacted Zinga's and was eventually told they had ordered the wrong motors and would have to replace them. No timeline was provided. Several weeks later, I was notified that the correct motors had arrived and was given an installation date of July 13. I called and explained that, because this delay was the result of Zinga's mistake--not ours--I hoped they could move us up in the schedule. They declined. Then, on July 13, no one showed up. When I called, I was told that I had not confirmed the appointment, even though I had confirmed it during my earlier phone call when discussing the installation date. Rather than acknowledging the confusion or attempting to make it right, I was told I would simply be placed back in the queue for the next available installation date. At this point, Zinga's has had the majority of our money since March and the full $14,000 since May, yet we still do not have the product we purchased. We have now missed much of the summer waiting for patio shades that should have been installed months ago. Perhaps the most disappointing part of this experience has been the complete lack of accountability. Throughout this process, no one has apologized for ordering the wrong product, for the installation delays, or for the missed appointment. No one has offered any accommodation or demonstrated any sense of urgency to correct a mistake that was entirely on the company's side. Mistakes happen. What customers remember is how a company responds when those mistakes occur. Based on our experience, Zinga's has fallen far short of the level of customer service that led us to choose them in the first place. ***Adding to my review that I left in September 2025. Today is March 4, 2026. It has now been 45 weeks and 1 day (316 days!) since I placed my order with Zinga's. That is an unreasonable timeframe. And now it looks like it will be another 3 months. I am STILL waiting to get the job completed. Two of the plantation shutters had hinges placed on the incorrect side. In January the installers brought a "repaired" frame and shutter. It was obvious where wood filler had been used. There are also brush marks and throughout and pools at the edges. The panel won't even close correctly because the measurement is off. Yesterday the installers were out and the hinges were once again on the wrong side. Today I got a phone call saying they are going to be "repaired". I ordered NEW factory finish shutters and that is what I want. This has been a nightmare. Each time they have promised that they will make my order a priority. But, in January one of the installers let it slip that my shutters had been sitting in the warehouse "for a while" after one of the frames snapped while being assembled. It's been my experience that if you leave them a negative review you will be placed on the back burner. Read their reviews on YELP. You would think after being in business for 25 years a company would have all of these issues figured out. See new photos of the repairs that a Zinga's rep said would be up to their standards.*** I have been waiting since April for my shutters. They did come in July but were the wrong color. They promised to make things right and said they would make sure my order was a priority. Every week I get the exact same message. I am done and have asked for a refund again. No one there is authorized to process a refund. They don't seem care about their customers and they don't seem to care about negative reviews. They won't talk to you and I hope it's and easy issue to resolve, the only reason I didn't put the online form after my calls this morning is they require a photo of the unit. I've been outside my house until now. They have the picture and the complaint and still no one is calling my cell or texting me. Lousy They do a great job selling you and then it ends. Very poor customer service. They installed my outdoor retractable awning in November and I haven't used it until now. It won't work. They insist you go through an online system and tell you to expect a 2 week delay to hear back from anyone. Run from this company. It's a lot of money to feel like you have a boat anchor and they don't value customers enough to talk to them on the phone. Hopefully do right by me and improve. read more

We had Zingas come out last July, finally had the screening and they started the installation in the Fall of 25. Craftmanship was questionable and wood was not painted or stained. They left they couldn't complete before we left. We were gone for the winter. FINALLY they returned this week, and unfortunately the storms interrupted their work. Scheduler now tells me they won't be back until mid June. We have a graduation party scheduled now working on plan B. Definitely not worth the value with all of the hassle. Regardless of whether I wanted bug and/or sun protection, we should have been presented with all of our screen options for a better idea of what we might want to go with or receive quotes for. We had a very positive experience with Zinga's from start to finish. Making an appointment for a consultation and free estimate was super easy. Erica came to our house and showed us lots of different options, listened to our needs, and made great recommendations. It was about a month from when we placed our order until installation, and Liz was helpful with coordinating a date and time for the installation appointment. We were given a window of 2:00-4:00 for the day of installation, and Boone and Jeremy showed up at 2:00 on the dot. I love when people are punctual! Customer service is atrocious. I called the local telephone number to get some information about price ranges and power requirement. There is no utility to schedule an in home consultation if the price is out of range. And in planning construction, it is important to know power requirements and location before installation. The customer service person at the other end of the line could not answer questions. All she could do is schedule appointments. Great customer service! During the appointment Morgan helped me think through options for my window coverings. 5 stars - Consultation. I shared what my priorities were in window coverings and he asked great follow up questions. He answered all the questions I had prepared too, showed me sample window coverings to help me decide, and he had color options too. He even held up a sample cellular shade to the window so I could see how much light would filter through it on a sunny day. Morgan was knowledgeable, friendly, and was patient even when I was a little indecisive. 5 stars - Temporary window coverings. Because these windows are custom-made, it takes a few weeks to get them. I can't begin to express my dissatisfaction with Zingas, We had another company quote and I wish we had gone with them. The salesman was nice, seemed knowledgable, but after giving him a check for over 1,000 and signing a contract, that is where things go wrong. He promised a 6 week till installation which would have been early December. My check wasn't cashed for 11 days so I called to inquire. It was lost. They finally located it and placed the order, Now they are saying that installation will be in January. Lessons learned, we will not be using them in the future nor will we be recommending them to anyone. What a disappointment. I'm really worried that installation won't go well. The first time they showed up the constructed product would have left our windows unable to unlock and open. They tried to install them anyway- I'm so glad I was home to stop them! We had already had them reinstall when first group of windows were installed. Had the send $150 for inspection that lasted five minutes. Now they what to charge 45 for shipping defected blind back with no time given for repair and receipt of materials. If they come out it's $90 for removal, shipping, and reinstall. This is just one blind. We spent $4000 to get the blinds and now it's almost $300 just to have inspection, take down on defective blind, ship to manufacture, wait for how long the get product back with no shade till it blind is returned. read more

Very, Very Bad customer service. We ordered 2 screens, and it took almost 7 months to get them installed. They sent 6 different crews out to our house6 times to resolve the problems. Parts were missing 3 different times, and some installers were not fixing the issues correctly and were jerry rigging it. Why does it take 2 weeks to order parts that should have been ordered correctly to begin with? Then it took 2 more weeks for the parts to be delivered. Then 2 more weeks to get it scheduled to meet their scheduling needs. No priority or urgency on issues of their doing. This company is totally not organized. It appears my screens were the first ones ever ordered even though they have been in business for years. Very, very poor from start to finish. Really good experience with Zinga's. Erica came to our new home and spent a ton of time showing samples and explaining features so we could get exactly what we wanted. The delivery and install was almost exactly as they projected (longer than we wanted to wait, but it's understandable considering everything is custom). Ronnie and CJ did a great job with the install. The only minor issue was a couple shades didn't quite fit, but the replacement shades were rush ordered and then CJ came back to finish the job. He took some extra time getting the "favorite" settings on our motorized shades just right and that was much appreciated. Zingas website promises A "lifetime" warranty. Well wish they would prove it. After multiple attempts to contact them there has been no response. Be warned that if you use the live chat, you will be greeted with a bot. It just apologizes for everything and then asks you to call a phone number where after mashing a bunch of menu choices you are asked to text a support number with a picture. If you text the picture you will get another text that the picture was not received and to go online to complete a repair form. ( where it all started ). We have yet to receive a call or follow up after a month or two of trying. All i want is the parts. So if you choose Zinga's be prepared to never have your product repaired. We used Zinga's 4 times over the course of 6 years. It was a continual decline in service, with the last purchase being a pathetic experience in customer service. We spent a good deal of money to get motorized blinds in a 2 story room. During the sales process we were told the battery would last a year. Despite normal usage, they ran out in just a couple of months, which seemed to be a warranty issue. Zinga's originally refused to come out stating that we had to prove there was a problem that was non battery charge related. Ultimately they came out and confirmed it was the charge, which lead to the question of "did you charge them prior to installation?". They confirmed that it was possible for installation to occur without a full charge. Who does that and then refuses to service? Amazingly, the sales man even followed up to confirm what occurred. He offered nothing other than "thanks for letting me know, I told operations to ensure they charge before install". Not even an apology was given. Even after we got them charged by other means, we get at most 4 months. So what we have is blinds that are annoying to maintain and just remain in closed position at all times. While this occurred, we noted that the majority of our blinds purchased starting in 2014 have started to fail. Zinga's says they offer lifetime warranty. Well sure they do, if you pay a $100+ fee for processing. Oh, and that's not advanced replacement. You go without blinds while they get repaired. In summary, go elsewhere and don't use this frustrating company. read more
