4.5 Stars This review is for their Sunday Buy One Get One…read moreFree Bottles of Wine night only. My colleagues and I went to Tannin on a random Sunday based off a recommendation from another business owner. He said that they had a killer wine list and great apps. And he was right! What we didn't know was that we picked the best day to go for a group of 6 people. Sunday's buy a bottle get one free really suited our group. We ended up ordering two bottles of white and two bottles of red ($40-50 price range) and shared those between the six of us. We were also allowed to cork-and-carry any wine that we didn't finish. We ordered and shared the following appetizers: cheese & charcuterie, roasted red pepper hummus, crispy shrimp, pommes frites, and chicken shawarma. All of it was great - especially the chicken shawarma. Why this review isn't 5 stars: We were there to ask questions about different wine profiles and really learn about what we were drinking. This task seemed out of the comfort zone of our server, which we thought to be odd. However, there was another gentleman there (whose name I have unfortunately forgotten) that really helped us out and steered us in the right direction all night. His recommendations did not disappoint. The other reason is that the rest of the menu is at a high pricepoint. We only ordered appetizers because of this. Overall - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My wife and I have been coming to Coconut Beach for several years. We both go to the Independence…read morelocation. If I could I would separate the reviews. Per customer service, the ladies ALWAYS make me feel welcome. They do an exceptional job. I would give them 5+ stars! HOWEVER, when it comes to management I have a major concern. As stated previously, my wife and I have enjoyed Coconut Beach for years. The rates continue to raise, and getting close to $65 a month. Though I understand there are new amenities that are being offered, neither my wife nor I are interested in these services. My MAJOR complaint is; My credit card information was stolen so my bank canceled my card. When I received my new card my wife went into Coconut Beach and was told the old card was declined. She explained the previous card's information was stolen so the bank had issued her a new card. When my wife gave the receptionist the new card, both my wife and my account was charged a $20 activation fee. When questioned about the fee we were told it is company policy and if she did not collect the money the company would take it out of the receptionist paycheck. I have been told these ladies make minimum wage. I later spoke with two other employees who stated this was the policy. It is bad enough that we were charged an additional $40, but there is NO discretion for cases such as ours. So unfortunately due to the continued rise in costs, and hard fast rules that do not take the customer's situation into account, I have effectively cancelled my membership as of today. I hope management will look into this policy to see if it is worth threatening a minimum wage employees with docking their pay in lieu of a common sense approach to a customer's situation.

I purchased a spray and added extra brozner which was 42.00 dollars I sprayed and I got out and I was still really white. I mentioned something to the cashier and she said wait until the morning if not come back on saturday and we will give you your money back. So I woke up the next morning and I was not tan at all. I went back up there on Saturday to get a refund and the girl working the counter would not give me one. She said " I have to text the owner and she will give you a call back in 3-5 business days. Well that never happen and I still dont have my money back and they didnt even offer me another tan. Very bad business. Dont go here. the machine had to of been clogged which means they are not doing maintance on their machines. Very bad business.

Let me preface this review to say that the beds and facilities are clean and the staff is friendly…read morefor the most part. This review is for Abby. Worst customer service experience I've had in a place of business in a long time. I went in for my usual spray tan and to give my 30 day notice of cancellation as I've moved and this location is no longer convenient for me. Upon cancelling, they charge you a $16.50 cancellation fee. My question was "will I be able to use the spray tan through the 7th of October with this additional fee?" Is it like a proration? The answer was no. "It's a charge so that you aren't charged again October 1st. Unless you cancel exactly 30 days in advance, you'll be charged this additional amount." I've been frequenting tanning establishments for years. Generally, they all want a 30 day notice of cancellation, but prorate your charges. Different companies have different rules and all make you sign lengthy contracts. To each their own. This is not the reason for the review. Abby calls me, as I asked for someone to contact me because the employee "didn't understand it either" and I wanted clarification. Abby reiterated the fee and then proceeds to tell me that "I signed a contract, that there are signs all over and that "I must not be able to read!" WOW. She proceeds to tell me that I am an "entitled c-word" (I won't post that here, but you know), that I cussed out her rep and that I am banned. After the initial shock, I said a few choice words of my own. This isn't about the $16.50. It's about professionalism and integrity. I didn't deserve to be treated that way. I did not cuss her employee out. Customers have questions. This was a legitimate question. Instead of explaining or offering a solution of " to avoid this, we could set your cancelation day to 11/1, or anything similar, she resorted to name calling, banning and lying. I'm still upset by the way I was treated. She also refused to refund the charges and thinks that it is "funny" that I've paid for the full month, the extra fee AND unable to use the service. Proceed with caution here.

When I was new I was billed for some appts I didn't use. [didn't know about them] when I found out they were expired but honestly, they gave me some anyway so no harm there. Now after I bumped up to the expensive "any bed" membership, someone working there said I owed another $5 anyway. Something is off and I am yet to figure out what but it seems to be tied to the spray tan. Well that and you know when there are problems because all of the sudden they will start asking about the eyewear again. [selling extras] Money issues, I bet, yet the economy is challenged everywhere and everyone is adding taxes or something. If the spray goes up again, I will rethink.
