Solid hot chicken spot - Flavorful with a decent kick…read more The area itself is in the heart of Montrose where you've got some fancy bars/restaurants in the area. A big open lot with some food trucks and 2 random benches. Makes for a good late night dining spot after a night out. Standard hot chicken lineup with the sandwich, strips, combo, fries. I liked the halal options. The wrap with turnips did entice me a bit but went for the Sandwich + a side order of pecked fries. The service was efficient, got it out in about 10minutes. I liked the curry seasoning to the fries, the chicken was battered well and had a solid crunch/flavor. The sandwich itself is also a straightforward classic = standard brioche bun + pickles for garnish and a decent sized breast. I would say the "yummy sauce" is just a bit overwhelming for me, it's just everywhere when I unwrapped the sandwich.. It was a bit too creamy for my taste. Overall I liked the chicken and the menu for being halal, it was cooked well and the adjustable spice level is nice. But the Yummy sauce is sort of a miss for me. Not sure what's in it but too rich, 3.5/5, didn't quite stand out for me.

Nice cozy place, perfect setting for fried chicken. I am sure they had other stuff, but that was the mission for this visit. Started with fried pickle spears, probably the best I have ever had, no joke. Perfect coating, taste and preparation. I like the spears vs the chips. Had the special which was to legs and two thighs for the price of the 3 pc dark. Beans and slaw. Ok, the chicken was great, moist, seasoned, very well cooked. I will go out of my way to go here for the chicken. Beans, canned with a little flavor added, nothing to brag about the slaw was pretty good. The fries on my friend's plate looked great. Perfect. We got here at about 1145, the place was busy. By 1215, it was packed, but they move people through and do a booming take out. Try it, you will like it. It satisfied my fried chicken desire and. Am set for a bit, but still want to go get more!!

I enjoyed their fried chicken, which for around $12, came with a thigh and leg, along with ample amounts of coleslaw and fried okra. Even I, as a voracious eater, could not finish all the sides. The chicken itself was beautifully fried in peanut oil, and truly one of the best, juiciest, fried chicken pieces I have ever had. This place is an example of simplicity at its finest. If you are in Houston and craving some down to earth fried chicken, Gus's is the place to go!

The restaurant is spacious, very clean, well organised and nicely decorated. Food and drinks: We tried Nando's chain in London and were regularly visiting it. I am glad that we found Nando's in Houston. The food choices are great. You can opt for half or full chicken, hearty bowls, starters, and big selection of small additions. All dishes ordered arrived on time and were super flavoursome. Foods were well prepared and tested very good. You can accompany your food with beer or wine. Pricing: $$ - standard prices and well worth the quality experience we received.

Really nice and bright decorated restaurant with lots of menu options. They offer a daily small Happy Hour, a decent rewards loyalty program for frequent customers and their Sauces!! Which I may add are available for purchase and I might have a few flavors at home.......shout out to the Medium Garlic! They offer parking in both the front & back and a semi shaded small side patio. A few small changes that I have noticed since their opening: they no longer offer lunch portions/specials and sadly the Rainbow Bowls no longer come with turmeric cauliflower Oddly, as many times that I have visited, I am either the only one there or at most, 1 of 3 people max. Hopefully it's just the early afternoon time of day I always seem to stop in because I would really like this place to stick around. And as much as I enjoy a good rewards program, their scanner has never worked once since initially joining so I have to manually input my receipt barcode into the app. Not a big deal but I haven't redeemed any rewards yet either so hopefully that will be a smooth process. And if I may end on a suggestion, Please lower the music by 2 levels. I have to put my noise canceling AirPods in every time because it's just a tad too loud and distracting to hold a convo. Other than that, Welcome to the 'Strose Nando's!

Tumble 22 did NOT skip out on the portions, cause tell me why 8-piece chicken nuggets nearly obliterate me. Service was also friendly and quick! The orders came with a slice of bread that was placed under the chicken; overall, the chicken was prepared well & the quality was evident! I wish the bread had been provided separately, because after a while, the chicken made it soggy, so it deterred me from eating it. They had a unique "Korean" version of their chicken, marinated in spicy Gochujang sauce, and I ordered the Honey Mustard as my dip. While it was delicious, it was a bit salty, so next time I come, I wouldn't get the Korean version. They also had unique Szechuan fries that I'd love to try!

It's a bit difficult to get in and out of the parking lot onto the street. The menu is very simple and fast food esque; chicken sandwiches, tenders, and fries / sides. The sandwich was fairly good sized and comes with one side. The chicken itself was a bit bland; the cole slaw out of everything was well seasoned and had good flavor. The fries are the typical frozen shoe string fries. Service is okay; again, this spot borders on a fast food restaurant so it's quite simple service. Overall, it's okay; the chicken isn't spectacular but it's a step above Canes or Laynes in some ways but flavor wise also missing something special.

Upon entry I was greeted with a unique aroma of spices and a bright and clean dining area. At the back of the restaurant on the self-service kiosk, I ordered two dipped and dusted chicken sandwich combos with fries for one order and the desi kimchi for the other along with the mango lassi drinks. The chicken on the sandwich was juicy, flavorful and paired well with the crunch of the lettuce and tanginess of the kimchi; not to mention the soft potato bun. The fries were seasoned well and tasted good with both the delicious and naughty sauces. The mango lassi was also good but interesting with a thick consistency and a pretty sweet flavor. Additionally the staff was friendly and prepared my order accurately. Overall, I had a great experience here, receiving fresh, tasty food at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend checking them out!

They share the space with Bol, which looks like an Indian food "make-your-own" bowl bar. I didn't try Bol personally but there are lots of options here if visiting with a group. Interior was very modern and clean. Lots of board games stocked. The occasional solicitor poked their head in but the vibes were good overall. Ordered via self-service so I didn't notice the actual human service too much, but it was prompt. I had the Kathi Roll, which was a fried chicken thigh strip rolled up with onions and sauce in a paratha. The chicken and sauce was flavorful, but the paratha was amazing and I wish I could have gotten a side of just the bread! "Delicious Sauce" was very good, mostly tasting like butter chicken sauce. I tried my friend's Balle Balle fries which were super flavorful, and washed it all down with a Mango Lassi. The lassi here is a bit turmeric-forward, which was fine by me, but could be noticeable to people who aren't used to it. I don't tolerate spice well so I was nervous what to expect, but the heat level was very tolerable. My spice-loving friends still found the food flavorful with a good heat level, so I don't think it was because it was too weak. Overall I found this to be a good spot to hang out with some friends over casual but flavorful food. - Ambiance: 4/5 - Food: 4/5 - Service: 5/5
