I went here an hour before closing , we ordered the lady who took my order was very rude and had HORRIBLE ATTITUDE she made VERY RUDE comments . We got a slushy with Pop rocks in it we tried to make it when we got it and the lady told us not to make it at the counter or she was gonna make us clean it up if any wasted . A few minutes after my friend threw a straw paper in the trash can and she made a remark saying if you see it's covered what you think that means and all the trash cans were closed . She needs to focus on her makeup more that trying to correct her guests SUPER RUDE NEEDS TO BE FIRED

I came to Dave's Hot Chicken during the Drake's Bday promotion when you get a free single slider via the app. We got there around 6:30 pm and there was a line out the door, which was as expected. This was clearly not the staffs first rodeo so the wait time was not nearly as long as we expected. After we ordered our food came out pretty quickpy as well. I choose medium heat since it was my first time trying Dave's and I was sure of the spice level. The flavor was good and next time I'll try a spicier version. All in all a great chicken sandwich option.

Been hearing this place get so much hype for forever now, and I finally got to try it. It's aight tho lol, nothing stands out to me. I will say, the fries are seasoned WELL, and they pretty crispy. I got the chicken slider, and the chicken was plump. The slider itself was good overall but seemed like it was missing something. I could've gone higher than a medium for the spice level to get that kick. The workers were really friendly and welcoming. Inside is spacious.

My fiancé and I are big fans of Dave's Hot Chicken! This location is probably our favorite as the staff is just simply amazing. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the experience with the manager and everyone there was unexpected. There's more parking here, too, and for some reason... the food just tasted better! I think it's a less chaotic atmosphere and would absolutely recommend it!

First time trying out Daves. The staff was A+++ friendly and helpful. ordered the #4. Chicken sandwich with cheese: spice level mild. the sandwich was good and I do like the flavor of the chicken. I would have went to extra hot spice level, because the Mild had not spice at all. Fries: I am usually not a fan of crinkle fries, but these were cooked nicely and I love the spice to put on it. sweet and tangy. dipping them in the daves sauce is a bit addicting. Chicken tender, extra hot: It was a very moist tender and the flavor of the breading and spice was sweet and tangy. However not really that hot to me. The pickles are good and the slaw was also very good. In general If you are looking for a spicy chicken sandwich I would recommend. However I will say that nothing I had was the best ever. all the ingredients were quality and the staff was so friendly, but the price is a little high. I would recommend and return.

Dave's #2 2 Sliders w/ Fries

I was in the area one day craving a chicken sandwich and I have never been to Dave's so I thought this was the day. The lady that helped me order was very nice and explained how everything works. From the spice levels, to what is on the sandwiches. Unfortunately, I was let down by the taste and spice level. I got the 2 sliders with fries in the spice level "extra hot". I would say that my spice level is pretty good and I can tolerate a good amount of spice. I think they said the "reaper" spice level required a signed waiver and I didn't really want to do that so I just went one spice level down. I got my food to-go and ate at home. The food was still fairly hot when I got home and the smell of the spices smelled promising in the car. The fries were good but the chicken sandwich was not spicy at all. I was really let down because I wanted it to be spicy and even any remote flavor. The sandwich had some kind of sauce on it and pickles and I would say that the pickles were the best part of it. I wish that if the sandwiches were that much and spice level the second most hottest, that it would be pretty good. They provided extra of the sauce that comes on the sandwich but I think that it didn't help make it taste any better. Overall, i'm still glad I was able to try it and but I don't think that I will be back anytime soon :(

Shout out to Mel, she is so sweet and full of excellence! I appreciated the awesome customer service. Chaundra was also so kind. Thanks for your kindness and smile (heart). The food was A1 and the ambience was too! Parking is a little tricky but it's worth the try and hassle (depending on the time you arrive). My friends loved it so much!

Chicken sandwich and mac and cheese

I only recently discovered Dave's, and I love it so much!! The chicken sandwich combo with mac and cheese is SO delicious and filing! The medium spicy chicken is just the right amount of heat, and I love the crunchy pickles! The mac and cheese is delicious and always satisfies the craving for some good mac! This meal really fills me up and I usually can't even finish all of the mac. It is just a great deal for a meal, and I can't wait to come back soon!! :-) This location also has a decent sized parking lot and some spots dedicated just to Dave's!

Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries MILD

One thing about me... I will always say yes to hot chicken! I was having a conversation with a friend and she brought this place up and was surprised I had never tried it. 15 minutes later we were on our way to Dave's hot chicken! I like some spice but my friend recommended I get the mild since she found the medium to be unbearable. I regret listening to her because although the mild did have great flavor it did not have the kick that I wanted from "hot chicken". I ordered the slider and tender combo and WOW the chicken was perfectly crispy. The sauce was super flavorful as well and I loved the thick cut pickles that came on the side. The fries had some sort of old bay seasoning (my favorite) and were also perfectly crisp! Personally, one slider is plenty of food for me. These are not "sliders" they are full on sandwiches haha. I could not finish all of my food unfortunately but everything was very very good. Special shout out to the staff working the Friday lunch rush (2/9). So friendly, lively, funny, and made my first Dave's hot chicken experience memorable. It was truly something that stood out to my friend and I. Not only did they treat us so well, but they did the same with every single person we saw walk in and out of the restaurant. This is rare and I hope they know it does not go unnoticed.

Mahwish S.

I have had better "hot chicken" from other places in the city. I ordered a medium spice level but to me I would consider it mild. I tried my sister's "hot" level chicken and it was still not that spicy. So if you want spice you have to level up. The coleslaw is made with Kale. It's supposed to be a healthier version. It was ok. What was off putting was that I came with my family after putt putt golf. This was the closest halal restaurant downtown that was open past 9pm. We were a family of 8, so we had to slide a few of the tables and chairs over to make a big enough table for us all to eat together. One of the workers there gave a "annoyed look" and said can you put the tables back when you leave. She then proceeded to say that she was irritated because the last customers that she asked to put the tables back did not. Her comments did not settle well with me.

AJ H.

Always been passing by this spot, finally had a chance to try Their hot chicken sliders are top notch. No complaints at all. Ordered the medium spice level and had a slight kick to it Fries were alright Friendly staff! I understand it's midtown and parking spaces are scarce, but when a lot is shared with a food hall, it can be a little stressful to find a spot sometimes (Side note, Found it a little funny that one of the employees walked in with a bag of Popeyes)

But then I learned about the mac and cheese... And saw that there is an option to add brisket to it. Done deal. And getting a pint was the perfect amount because I was nice and full after. The way the place is laid out, you go in, hop in line, and then claim a table after paying. A science specifically says not to hold the table before paying because it's unfair... First time I have seen a sign like that, but I get it. Honestly I was expecting just a sprinkle of brisket on top of the mac, but it was a hefty amount, and WOW WOW was it good! I added both of the homemade sauces to my food so I could taste the differences. The kick was nice, but I really did love the sweeter one. The sausage was good too, but I wish I got the jalapeno cheese one. I had opted not to since I already had so much mac and cheese. As if the barbecue wasn't good enough, they had a bar with a really friendly bartender who is eager to give city recommendations. It was thursday, and they had tequila deals, including some very strong $6 margaritas. We only did one round, and that was all we needed. We were also able to watch the World Cup game there. It was a total vibe and I know I would go back whenever I visit again. Geez, what is the other BBQ like in the city?!

We tried the turkey, brisket, and jalapeño sausage, and every one of them was delicious. The brisket was especially impressive--moist, incredibly tender, and so soft you didn't even need a knife to cut it. The sides were very good, but the meats were definitely the highlight of the meal. One thing we really appreciated was the toppings bar, which included pickles, onions, pickled onions, jalapeños, and two different barbecue sauces so you could customize each bite. They even had a mini soft-serve ice cream machine for a little dessert after your meal, which was a nice touch. They also offer family meal options, making it a great choice for larger groups. The restaurant was clean, had plenty of seating, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They have several sauce options. You can't go wrong with any. They were in the middle of construction/expansion but there are still lots of seating options in or outside. I would definitely go back here instead a typical BBQ place. The flavors just hit so well together. And the Mediterranean style is clearly a healthier option. The crudo was a refreshing way to begin the meal, while the shrimp added a nice savoury contrast. The highlight, however, was definitely the butter chicken experience. I would come back for this dish alone. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was incredibly rich and delicious, especially when paired with the naan. This is a nicely sized spot next to the Jusgo plaza in Houston Chinatown, so plenty of parking and also food options. It's tucked in a corner but should not be written off. Its a pretty casual sitdown restaurant and we were welcomed and sat pretty quickly on a Saturday around 8:30PM. We were provided menus and started ordering everything that sounded good (within reason for 2, sorta). We ended up getting the Uyghur polo with lamb shank, Uyghur goshnaan, korma chop, garlic cucumbers, mint tea, and a yogurt for dessert. This was more than enough food for 2 but I wanted to try a bunch and this is me holding back. The Uyghur goshnaan was very crispy and the filling was flavorful and juicy, good lamb flavor and nice spices. The Uyghur polo with lamb shank was great and the pilaf had a nice sweetness with raisins that cut through some of the fatty richness of the lamb. The korma chop was also super flavorful with a nice savory sauce and noodled with an excellent texture, very QQ. I don't usually order cucumbers at Asian restaurants cause I can make a cucumber salad pretty easily at home but the one here was very good. Excellent refreshing crunch and garlic flavor to go with all the other dishes. The mint tea was also nice to wash down the mountains of food I was inhaling. I also enjoyed the yogurt, it's a thicker yogurt like a Greek yogurt and topped with honey and raisins. Again, a nice sweet/tart treat that didn't feel too heavy after everything else. I definitely need to come back as I didn't even get my big plate chicken but it'll be hard to choose between all the options.
