When it was time for post season, we immediately paid the fees for the post season/nationals a month before it was scheduled to start. When it turned out that our team would not be able to do post-season due to other team members' unavailability for the summer the business would not refund what we paid. They offered a temporary position on another team which we didn't want. We just wanted a refund for the fees for something that we did not receive. Other families who hadn't paid yet weren't required to pay, but because we had already paid, they somehow thought we did not need to be treated equally. They continually denied a refund. Lesson learned, it will cost you a thousand dollars to be prompt, in the future don't pay until the very last minute.

However during btw course of the damp, staff members were responsive to inquiries, friendly and focused at camps, and professional. I was at every class and I appreciated the program, the drills and the approach. My daughter had so much fun meeting other girls. I had fun meeting other parents! Place is secure and location is safe. And restrooms are well kept!

We found the FFL and he was able to come out of his shell and excel as a player and gained new friends. He was scared of contact football at first, then he loved it and when he went to school, he had a group of friends that he could resonate with. FFL is a great league and my family has benefited greatly for playing! Thanks!

I have been a part of this league for 5 years. At the beginning, it was a bit overwhelming (with…read morefundraisers, practice, etc)... then I got into the swing of things and enjoyed it. Things began to change when I became a Business Manager. The first year was great! I really enjoyed myself, so I decided to volunteer to have a position on the board. That's where I really saw how things worked. As a board member, I was interested in progressing the league to keep up with the 'electronic' era as well as provide innovative input to cutting costs and creating more efficiency. All except upgrading the website were shot down. Upgrading the website was not much of a progressive step... in relation to the rest of the suggestions. Not only was I shot down, I was not even allowed to make a motion for vote. After doing some research and understanding how the other leagues in the area function, again I was in a position to suggest how to compete with these leagues... Again, shot down by the same person. Frustrating as this was, I still suggested my friends to join the league as parents, volunteers, etc. Still a Business Manager, I had an issue with parents 'taking control' of the team - refusing to participate in a mandatory fundraiser. I found NO support with the BOD and the Head Coach. Personally, I have serious questions about the budget that is consistantly approved. There are MANY ways in which money can be saved (volunteer time, in-kind donations, etc). Egos and pride are getting in the way of progress. Without progress and innovative ideas to lead kids to this league, I don't see that it will last. The other leagues are VERY competitive, VERY athletic, train well and have a smaller budget allowing them to focus on KIDS not money. Kids/Parents/Coaches are not leaving FFL because of the flashiness of other leagues and coming back... they are leaving FFL because of FFL's RIGID ISSUES, lack of progress and bullsh*t... and they are NOT returning.

My son loved playing flag football with his afterschool program when he was younger, but he hasn't had the opportunity to join a team as a middle schooler. He is very excited to play again. We are fortunate to have found a program that is accessible and can be affordable to single, working moms. I'll update my review with more details as the season progresses. Thank you EBFF!

It teaches them to be a team player and to also take the lead if the ball falls in their court. My son has never really looked forward to any sports aside from Flag Football and gymnastics. So when he found out it was time to register, he was elated. He started off playing tackle at age 5 and he didn't like it at all. I made him play. His coach then and now is Coach Kevin. I am super elated we still have a bond from years back. Octavian trusts him in the game as they have that initial connection. I was team Mom for the Alameda Pirates circa 2013. Zaiah, my daughter is super elated she can still play. She loves to follow in her brothers footsteps all the while maintaining her own identity here and in gymnastics. I like the fact that they bond friendships with their teammates. Looking forward to another season of fun.
