The bad: it was very disorganized, there was no real coaching (there were a handful of high school looking kids volunteering and maybe 2 real coaches but no of them were attentive. I didnt see/hear any real instruction. I did see many of them just chatting most of the time and letting the kids just do their own thing which meant 5 kids guarding the goal, kids starring off into space or just standing in one place. Also, our kids were suppose to be grouped by age/ability but there was never any kind of evaluation. So my 5yr daughter got pushed around by girls way bigger than her and boys that were way more experienced... (And I get that its a physical sport but there was no one watching when kids got too rough or throwing karate kicks trying to kick a ball in the air but accidently kick someone). I had to bring it to the "coach/volunteers attention" several times but they didnt do anything about it. On one day I saw coaches playing their own soccer game which was noticed by many parents. We all discussed that it was horrible and we were not impressed and we would not be signing them up for any additional weeks. I emailed the main coach Gavin with my concerns and observations and he never replied (although he had quickly replied when I first inquired about signing up my girls). No leadership. No training. No passion to teach. The Good: the camp price was affordable (but you get what you pay for). My daughters got lots of exercise as they had to basically run their own drills. They met some sweet kids and enjoyed seeing them everyday for that week. We will be looking into another city for soccer teams/camps.

I have spent many years volunteering for children sports but having recently moved to Fremont, I was a bit nervous about volunteering for our first year. That was definitely my first mistake. Unfortunately, the coaches are not trained to teach the children fundamentals of team work and proper soccer skills. Not once did I ever see the children participate in soccer drills or obtain coaching on the basic of things like hand balls and throw-ins. Additionally, the children play on Thursday nights with very little coaching and today, I saw them fight. The kids were dancing and ridiculing each other. The coaches are talking with each other, not the kids. There is no need to blame the coaches though. This is a direct result of those who manage the business (note that even though it is a non-profit, it is still a business). For anyone that reads this, I would strongly advise that you look for another league. We will be searching next year for a different league. If you want your kids to learns skills, teamwork, and camaraderie, this is not the place. It appears that my feedback is similar to others that have commented here so this doesn't appear to be new.

We waited and waited to get a schedule, but we received nothing. Our coach tried calling and emailing, but he received no response. It was only when we contacted them on Instagram that they said, "We knew when you registered, that you weren't going to be in the tournament." Well...why did you guys accept it online? Anyway, we come to find out that they accepted Livermore, Central Valley, Belmont, and of course Fremont since they're hosting the event However, they decided to exclude us, a team based out of East Side San Jose. These girls don't come from much money, and they have now wasted a lot of money on costumes and uniforms because they were so excited to compete in this event. This is not acceptable, and we can't help but feel like we've been discriminated.

Irvington Community Park is a decent park with a really big grass area and plenty of open space…read more They also have a sports complex area that can be rented, and a lot of people come here for games or other activities. There's also a basketball court and a community center, which makes the park useful for different kinds of events. The playground area is decent, especially for kids. I noticed the padding looks like it was recently redone, which is nice. The play area has a little wall climber, slide, pole, and stairs. I do think the wood around the slide area could use some updating because it looks kind of old, and the slides seem extremely high, which I think should be changed or made safer. The bathrooms are currently being redone, so that's good to see. Overall, it's a decent park with good space and activities for families.

The park has improved over the years since they added bleachers at the parking lot as well as renovating the playgrounds. It's not really a big park but it's convenient for those who live really close to it. They have a building called Irvington Community Center, which I think is a place for children's activities. There is another building which is small. I think it was supposed to be a library, but is recently closed. Right next to it is the ballot drop box, where I usually go to drop my ballot envelope. Nothing much changed overall but it's good to reminisce the memories I have going here when I was a kid.

After raising my concerns with the management, I confirmed that the club's policy states that every player in younger teams should have the opportunity to play in each half of the game. At the start of the second season, parents and players were required to sign a conduct contract drafted by the coach. We were told that without signing, players would not be allowed to participate in matches. The coach used this contract against my son this season, once again preventing him from playing in the first half. By doing so, the coach was able to officially limit my son's playtime in matches. If you're looking for a club that values fairness, I highly recommend Fremont Rush, where every player is treated equally and given the opportunity to play in each half of the game.

Had my high school graduation here a few days ago and really loved the experience. The stadium…read moreitself is huge with ample seating to support any audience size. In addition, there's also a lot of space where you can just watch the event from the back. My one complaint after coming to many graduations over the years is that the audio is not really good. Especially when people are speaking through a microphone, the sound from the audience's point of view is really scratchy. Overall, always a fantastic experience. Make sure to bring a jacket at night time because it does get pretty chilly as there's no structures to block the incoming wind. Parking can also be a natural disaster at times as it shares the space with Washington High School.
