My son enjoyed tball but he kept being bullied by a team player. Over three months, I kept hoping…read moreit would get better, only for the child to appologize and do something again. My son was hit, punched, called names, he was even pushed and when he fell down the boy jumped on my sons back with his cleats on. That night my son complained of his back hurting and I looked. There was cleat mark bruising on my sons back.I brought it up continually to the team mom because it was her son. When I finally told her i was tired of her son bullying my child she got defensive because I said he was bullying. I pulled my son from tball today. After trying to explain th situation to the president as he kept deflecting the situation, I realized it was because they are all old friends. He mentioned my son isnt innocent he was pouring gatorade on the ground last game and playing with friends. How you can compare that to physical abuse? The board members, coaches and team mom. This group is too tight knit. The president had his mind made up before he even spoke to me it was clear. Very sad situation, very unfair. I feel I failed my son, I should of pulled him out sooner.

He knows kids he has never been on a team with, recognizes coaches he has never had. It has become his second home. As time has gone on my husband and i have become more involved. This league is ran by wonderful volunteers and welcomes you to join. Overall it is a Family atmosphere with the best snackbar. Kids have fun while learning baseball fundamentals, team work, and making life long friends.

I could see people coming from miles away to get to here. I think the best part is probably the lighting. Its very bright and very fancy. That means if the sun sets it won't put an end to your fun. There is a gym equipment section near the entrance. Good for pullups or situps or stepups. When was the last time you did some of those? Lets be honest.... Toward the back there is a play structure. Good for young kids. It wasn't too popular I think because this park is known for the fields. So might be a good option if you want fewer kids around your own kids. Tons of parking. The lot is more than large enough. Overall the park is very clean and new. Its almost surprising that it is technically Hayward, CA. You just don't expect anything that nice from this city.

a review from amom2kidsandapark.com…read more A popular destination for the sport enthusiast, Alden E Oliver Sports Park in the south side of Hayward has a massive baseball/softball complex, soccer field, and a fitness court The multilevel playground has two slides (a straight slide from the lower platform and a spiral from the higher platform), steps, ladders, a tunnel/stairway, a lookout hole up top, a climbing wall, and swings (both standard and bucket). Next to the playground is a bunch of picnic tables. Stick to having your picnic at a table great because you definitely don't want to picnic on the grass behind the playground... it has plenty of "natural fertilizer" from the geese There is a lot of parking and bathrooms near the parking and playground. Add a walk around the grounds to your adventure!
