We were referred to CWF by A#1 Air. Project Manager Oscar showed up to assess the damage later that same day (Wednesday, Jan 17th)and walked us through the process. During his time here, we contacted our insurance company to file a claim which was initiated within 20 minutes with a representative over the phone. Since Oscar was present, it facilitated communication. Oscar gave us a two-hour window between 8am and 10am and said that we should expect to receive a call from dispatch informing us that they are on their way. He also took a series of pictures before he left so that he could inform the crew of the events that transpired. On Saturday, January 20th, the mitigation crew removed a portion of the engineered flooring that was affected and promptly placed industrial fans on and around it. They informed us that they would be back to pick up the equipment (in 4 days) after the area has completely dried and answered any questions we had. Kris, Sheldon, Gabriel, and Oscar were professional and knowledgeable - explaining everything about the process and I appreciate the time and patience they took on a Saturday morning to help us. Now I have partial job done (as my rug was just spot cleaned, to "help" me). So still have to fix this!!!! When I called Puroclean to assess the water damage in our upstairs bathroom, Marco got back to me that day, and he and Beau came out two days later to give us an estimate. I wasn't even sure where the water was coming from, so they used moisture mapping to track the leak down to the wall behind the sink. But when they removed the drywall a few days later, they found the plumbing intact. So they resumed Operation Leak Hunt, and further investigation proved that the pipes were not at fault. It was revealed that, although the water took a deceptively circuitous route to reach its destination, the culprit was actually the roof. As it turns out, the Texas weather has battered our roof past the point of repair, and it will have to be replaced entirely. I don't think it's much of a stretch to say that, without Puroclean's diligence, our bill for water damages could have literally gone through the roof. With the mystery leak solved, the restoration just proceeded so smoothly, it was like watching a well-oiled machine. All we had to worry about was choosing our new vanity, flooring, etc. They kept me updated every day, and I never had trouble getting in touch with them. I also asked them to check our downstairs shower for mold, and was relieved to hear that (unlike the roof), it wasn't severe enough to require professional attention. Ther are many, many other things I could mention. The project took over eight months instead of the four promised, with work gaps of days and sometimes weeks. I met with the PM three times to create a timeline, but they fell behind every time. The only reason he gave was schedule conflicts with other jobs. One positive: Guillermo and Jose were responsive and fully guaranteed their work. They made sure I was satisfied with the end product before ending the project.
