The ride takes you through the North loop of Kensington Park. And, from start to finish, everything felt organized, welcoming, and peaceful. The trail itself was beautiful with both wooded paths and open areas to explore. The horses were calm, well trained, and clearly well cared for. The horses all knew to walk in a line while along paths which made the ride relaxing, since you could sit back and enjoy the scenery. The guides were a huge highlight. They were friendly, patient teachers, and made sure everyone felt comfortable the entire time. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do and bond with the horses. The entire ride they made sure to take photos of the group and stopped to take individual photos too. I highly recommend High Vibe Trail Rides for anyone wanting a fun outdoor experience. Definitely worth it!

We started at another facility that had a young rider program (Wildwind) that packed several young children into one lesson. Lack of safety and attentiveness to individual riders were huge, ongoing issues... For about the same cost, Crystal provides one-on-one attention and makes sure your child is safe and feels respected. Your child will also likely ride the same horse each week, allowing a bond to form between rider and horse. We love HH!

Johanna and the day care counselors (Katie, Rachael, and James) were really gracious and great with the kids. My kids took to them easily and I was completely comfortable leaving them in their capable care. I have two children who were ages 6 and 7 when they attended last year and the activities were perfect for their ages. I was concerned my son wouldn't try riding a horse, but they somehow convinced him to try it with Rocky and he loved it! My daughter was already to hop right on America and she loved interacting and groom the horses as well. There was so much going on everyday, I can't even touch on everything in this one review! Everyone there Is so nice and they always make sure that you are safe. They have amazing stable hands and great trainers. It's a great place for experienced and inexperienced riders. All of the horses are so nice and there Is always someone to help. Wildwind is like a family to me and is the best out of all of the stables I've been too. I came there with very little experience and within 4 months I was already showing. My riding really has gotten better. The office gets back to you super fast and has a super friendly environment no matter your age.

My family and I were very much looking forward to a great experience, but she stole that from us. She also literally stole Christmas from my kids AND many other kids. I have contacted the BBB, the michigan attorney, and the news. I hope this woman is prosecuted for stealing, and I hope no other families have her do this to them. She and her family should be ashamed of themselves.

If you are looking for a slow, leisurely group ride with up to 10 people down dirt roads, past…read morepeople's homes, and through a small wooded area, this is the place for you. Many of the horses are rescues, and the owner has done a lovely job training them to be wonderful, mild-mannered trail ride horses. There was a 6-year-old child in our group who never once held onto the reins, and she never had a problem because the lead wrangler was leading her horse with a rope. There are wranglers at the front and back of the group as you travel single file down the road with cars driving by periodically. Our wranglers frequently yelled directions (that nobody in the middle of the group could hear), and that aspect really annoyed my daughter. It was not a peaceful ride. I have been to the Waterloo location and was expecting a walk through a beautiful wooded area like it is there, so our route was a disappointment to me as was the slow pace. The web site mentioned both walking and trotting. We were at a slow walk for the entire ride. Since my daughter and I both ride frequently, this was not at all what we were looking for. That being said, this would be perfect for people who have never ridden or for families with small children.

Additionally, on what was supposed to be a relaxing horse ride, she screamed at the cars driving past us multiple times. We were on a secluded dirt road, people were already halfway off the other side of the road driving probably 25mph, there was no need for her irrational reaction. Overall, horrible experience. Go somewhere else.

I would describe the lessons as helpful, vigorous, exciting, and rewarding. The camps here are phenomenal. Beginner and intermediate camps are absolutely amazing. I do believe the camp system could use lots of updates, but it is still fun for the kids. I was one of the counselors myself, and most of the kids enjoy the camp. Advanced camp however does tend to seem very oriented around cleaning instead of the horses. This is because of so many riders, and not enough horses for the kids to work with all day. The barn itself is gorgeous, with stalls cleaned every morning, and large day pastures as well as two year round outside pastures. Horses are well taken care of with grain and hay readily available. I will say, some of the website information is outdated, as well as all of these comments, so be sure to call the barn owner to ask for yourself. I have ridded, boarded, and leased from this facility for 12 years, and everywhere else i have gone has not been able to compare. That is why this place gets 5 stars. However i believe the camp system alone should get three stars for lack of improvement upon a broken system.
