At that point I decided to just leave. The prices already seemed pretty high, and the slow start didn't make it feel worth sticking around to find out if the food would justify it. A couple fries in, we flagged him down to politely explain we weren't happy with the food. Instead of apologizing or offering any kind of fix, he got defensive and snapped, "What do you mean bring them back? No!" --even though the plates were almost untouched. We didn't want to escalate the situation, so we just left. This isn't how patrons should be treated. $26 on subpar fries and a prickly waiter? Don't waste your money.

Could a deli do the job as well or better, I wondered. I was skeptical, but gave Heavenly Market a chance. It didn't disappoint. When preparing the hot chocolate, they steamed the oat milk the way you'd see it done at Starbucks and usually don't get at a deli. Their employees also greeted me and showed good people and customer service skills. The store was immaculately clean. Very few stores or restaurants compare to the cleanliness here. And it is loaded with various foods and snacks.
