We both enjoyed them. The winery was hosting a comedy show and dinner that night, they had only 2 empty tables and a few tickets left, so we snatched them up with a table. Awesome comedy show with 4 comedians including the owner of The Well comedy club in Bakersfield. I was able to meet the owner of the winery, Mike, who was so nice and accommodating. He has great staff who are ready to suggest wines, and serve you. This place is a hidden gem that does it all right there!

The owner Ilda Vaja is so passionate about it she calls it a very expensive hobby. And I can't imagine what it takes to plant, care for, produce and bottle the wine every year. She was the sole managing person here this particular Friday and man was it such a fun conversation we had. We learned a lot about Tehachapi and how she started it and it is just heart warming to hear the story. She's also the first one to plant and produce a very good Malbec. The tasting consisted of a rosé, Cabernet, Merlot and Malbec. She served this with cheese, crackers and local chocolates! The ranch also has AirBNB rooms so be sure to check out her website for availability. Women owned, local and full of love. You can taste that in the product. During this weekend trip, I also visited 2 other wineries but I can tell you hands down, this was an absolutely memorable stop. I highly recommend stopping by here if you're passing by. We liked it so much that my mom went back and got a case . The outside of the winery is beautiful with views of the Bear Valley springs and Tehachapi mountains. The inside of the winery has a cabin feel, lots of tables to sit at and a bar. There is even an outside area to sit at and enjoy the view. Each time I go in to pick up my wine order or a tasting, I almost always come out having had a delightful conversation with one of my fellow neighbors. The wine, of course, is excellent. I can't recommend the Tempranillo enough. But even the Chardonnay is great, and this is coming from a red wine connoisseur. There's indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of room for larger groups. Do stop in and say hello, because at Tlo, you'll probably make a friend or two over a great glass of wine.
