A low key, welcoming and enjoyable experience. Friendly service, low pressure setting. Nice air conditioning indoors on a hot day or sit outside with fresh air and take your time! We got a visit from Lucky the dog. A few snacks are also available for purchase.

Came here with my wife using a Groupon which was a great deal! The Groupon was $19 for two (4 pour) tastings, and a bottle of wine to take home! It ended up being almost a $50 value when you compare the pricing so I'd highly recommend! This is definitely a very "homey" winery near Morgan Hill / Gilroy that has a family feel to it! Nothing fancy, just plastic chairs, plastic tables, and plastic cups for the wine tasting! If you're looking to try a bunch of different wines on a budget, this is definitely the place to do it! Don't expect fancy service like up in Napa/Sonoma, but definitely expect a smile and a warm welcome from the owner! The only bummer about the experience was the lack of real wine glasses. I think that would really be a step up for this place!

My friend and I stopped by here on a whim when we were in the area. We are so glad that we did. The owner was super welcoming and we had a great time during our visit. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and they have a large variety of wines and wine styles to chose from.

A little late in taking the photo of our tasting flights. Delicious!

My hubby and I found this gem, a small family- owned winery. Carlo is an incredible host. We pulled in with our Honda off-road motorcycles in our truck, and it turns out he's also an avid rider. We enjoyed the wines - Zinfandel Ruby, Carignane Ruby, Rosè, Dolcetto Rosso, Marsala, Port. Lucky, the resident dog is so chill and friendly. This winery feels like home, beautiful setting, nothing pretentious, and so relaxing!

This winery had a very pretty patio and some really good tasty wines. I'm only a white wine drinker but my husband enjoyed not only the whites but the reds too. I had purchased a Groupon and it included a bottle of wine so we got to enjoy that wine that night. Also a very nice drive to the place, very scenic.

Can't say enough about how much we love Hecker Pass, Carlo & the team! Family owned, laid back vibe, friendly service & great wine for every taste (the Red Velvet is one of our favorite medium-bodied, the Chianti my favorite dry, and the Rose has been perfect for summer). With the transition to outdoor service due to COVID, they've arranged a great setup outside the tasting room and beneath a grape vine-covered arbor-- choose your wines, and a tasting sampler is delivered to minimize interactions. (Suggest calling ahead as I believe reservations are preferred due to county COVID regulations.) We are also planning our wedding at Hecker Pass and have been beyond grateful for Carlo's expertise, attention to detail & flexibility. We've had to reschedule several times due to he pandemic and he's been so accommodating-- even helping us put together a private elopement last minute, until we can hopefully have our big reception with family/friends next year. This has quickly become one of our favorite local spots to relax and enjoy our beautiful California weather with a glass of wine!

Amazing place for a wedding! Extremely cost effective and such a hidden gem. Everyone complemented us on how good the food was. So beautiful especially during the summer months. We got married in June and the vines were green, making it great for photos. Also, most of the tent drapery you see in the pictures were included!!

The first thing I want to say is that Carlo is amazing!! I been meaning to post this review for a while now, but here we go. We had our wedding at this beautiful winery during this pandemic, and because of it, we had to reschedule the wedding. Carlo was ALWAYS super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I am so glad that he made this process so much easier as we had to reschedule once. We had been planning our wedding for over a year. From day 1 to the wedding day, we had such a good experience that I would definitely have another event here. My family and friend were amazed at the costumer service we received by Carlo and his team, and we all had such an amazing time even though we decided to get married during this pandemic. Carlo's winery is family owned, the cost of our wedding was very reasonable, and the most important of all, it is the fact that we felt like we were treated like family by Carlo and not just as another couple trying to get married. Again, we just want to say how grateful we are that our special day was more than we expected it to be. Also, I added some of our engagement photoshoot photos :). They were taken at the winery as well.

My husband and I had a wedding last June at Hecker Pass Winery. It was a great experience. Carlo rescued us. We had booked another venue, had gotten all our vendors for our wedding date, had sent out the wedding invitations to guests, etc. before it became apparent our venue was having legal permit issues that were unlikely to be resolved in time for our wedding. Carlo was easy to work with. He was flexible with all the vendors we already had and helped pull everything together. I had a wedding coordinator, but honestly my caterer (Mama Mia's Tiffany) and Carlo did more coordinating than my wedding coordinator did. Other perks: Pretty vineyard, sweet winery dog named Lucky, and amazing rosé. We booked the winery before the rosé was released, but we were so pleasantly surprised. It has become my favorite rosé. I will continue to return for more of it.

Well, very fine wine but one of the owners (pouring us the tastings) was obviously wishing he were elsewhere. Still, I really liked the wines but the tasting room experience is decidedly not upscale. Actually, taste-wise this is one of the best I experienced in the area.

First, you must try the Ruby Zinfandel. It is AMAZING and my favorite wine here. The main thing I am reviewing is the La Vigna event center here, where I had my wedding in June 2013. I highly recommend this place for a wedding! Carlo is the winery owner's son and manages the event center. This is a small family winery and the personal touch is apparent. The location is super beautiful and the layout is wonderful in terms of the ceremony/ dining/ dance layout-- the best I have seen. The wedding package was wonderful and affordable-- it included everything from chairs, tables, basic linens, wine, other drinks, and food if desired. The food was amazing and they worked with us to get it exactly how we wanted. For instance they took my husband's family recipe for chicken and made it perfectly! They also took the pasta I tried and made it less oily so that it was exactly what I wanted. They even made the fruit salad with only the good fruits we liked-- no melons :) We used the preferred vendors who were all wonderful and they all worked together seamlessly. Carlo and his staff are like personal friends who do everything they can to make sure your day is perfect. They worked tirelessly behind the scene and took care of everything. Our wedding day was extremely hot (110 degrees F!) and Carlo worked with the other vendors on last minute accommodations for the cake and flowers to survive the heat. The facilities are essentially all outside, so there was not much escape from the heat unfortunately. There is, however, a little bridal room which was air-conditioned nicely-- lucky me :) Guests had plenty of drinks available upon arrival so people were taken care of. Our guests loved the location and the food got RAVE reviews. I am so glad we had our wedding at Hecker Pass and highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you Carlo!

    Choices galore!!!!!

$5 to taste 5 wines. Generous pours. Stephanie was so sweet, just like the wine! I tried the 2 sweet wines and the 3 dessert wines. All were priced at $25 a bottle. A sign said the wines were 50% off but she didnt mention it. The wines themselves were delicious. Lots of varieties to choose from too! I didn't end up getting a bottle though because it was a bit too pricey for me and I have about a dozen bottles of wine at home that I don't know what to do with. I know what you're saying, you're saying, um, drink it. Ill get to it. Anyway, stop by this place if you're in the area.

The service here was actually better than the wine, which I felt were lacking. Their port and cream sherry were very good, however.

The price was right, the coordinator Charlene was so helpful and the place was so beautiful and simple. Things I loved: -Outside patio for outdoor ceremony -bridal room -food was tasty - open bar, we did a his and hers drink -very spacious for 200 people - restrooms were nice and clean - very intimate setting - space did not feel crowded - catering team was friendly and quick to help clear tables Wedding planning is sooooo overwhelming but it felt so nice to have Charlene help us every step of the way. She was very prompt with responding to our questions and we even hired her as our onsite coordinator for our wedding day which was the best decision we could have made. Everything for the most part went smooth and I never felt stressed. I am only giving them 4 stars because I do feel like they can make some improvements with their food tasting. My husband and I were a little disappointed that we had to taste the same food versus each trying something different. We expressed our concerns and they were able to accommodate us with a second tasting since we were not satisfied with our first tasting. Also, we told the catering team that we had a friend that was vegan. They served him a plate with salad and strawberries. In a way that was our fault for not checking in with them with what the actual plate would be. My friend was a good sport about it but I felt so bad because he was really hungry. Lastly, our package included one hour to clean up after the ceremony ended but all my guests were rushed out by security leaving just my parents, myself and a couple of bridesmaids to gather our belongings. If they didnt rush everybody out we could have had more people help with taking down our personal decorations and not felt so rushed and stressed to get out. At this point Charlene was no longer in the building since she was with us since the morning but I do hope that in the future security respects that one hour and does not kick guests out. Overall, beautiful venue, amazing coordinator and great price! Despite the small complaints and hiccups, I would highly recommend this place as a wedding venue.

We assumed it must be a popular spot and decided to go for some wine tasting. The view of the winery was beautiful, but parking off the highway was limited. Additional parking was available in the gravel areas along the road, but be cautious when parking a low sports car, as there are rough spots with dips and larger rocks. Drive in slowly. Watch out for passing by vehicles, especially after your tasting. When we arrived, the hostesses welcomed us warmly and seated us quickly near the DJ, who was engaging with guests, playing loud tunes from mostly the '80s. Most of the customers appeared to be local families and friends hanging out. The bartender was pleasant and welcoming. Most servers seemed friendly and attentive to tables, but we had to wait 15 minutes for our assigned server, Alex, to take our order. While Alex was pleasant, he spent most of his time prioritizing and working other larger tables, leaving us waiting for long periods between wine pours. We came to the winery to sample some wines, and we were not disappointed with our selection, although we wished Alex would have more knowledge of the wines and take the time to provide us with more history of the winery. We chose to sample their range of whites and reds, and they were all nice except for the Zinfandel and one of the Chardonnays. We ended up purchasing a bottle of dry rosé, which we liked as a nice sipping on a warm day. Looking back, we could have easily served ourselves with one of the bottles purchased while we were there, which would have been a better experience. The menu had a variety of drinks, including whites, reds, mixed drinks, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a couple of choices of crackers. We observed that many tables brought their own snacks and food, which seems to be permitted at this winery. Overall, we were glad we stopped in to sample some of this winery's offerings. However, if you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere without loud music, this may not be the place for you. We found it to be too loud and not the typical winery experience we were accustomed to. Unfortunately, the slow service by Alex made our first visit less enjoyable than we had hoped. So keep the punch card in a safer place. You'll lose it. Punch card gets you 6 special cherry menu items food drink alcoholic drinks and deserts. You can share it with anyone too. Monorail has been broken a long time. The big roller coaster was just broken and. Caden was disappointed he couldn't try it. It was his birthday trip. The kids did the smaller roller coaster 6 times. Note: website does not have a list of NOT operating rides. The boys really liked driving the cars. They have no gas pedal and it steers but it's really fun and they pretend to steer. The old model A like cars have 2 seats so that line moves faster than the corvette and 57 Chevy bel air like 1 seat cars. Using the cherry jubilee your cards was frustrating. They hire high school kids and my adult daughter said it was like the park was staffed with untrained unprepared staffers who were easily overwhelmed . It's unfair to guests and the kids working She literally gave up at one food location after waiting 20 min when the girl couldn't ring up food for others in line and stared off into space while everyone waiting. Most the staff were overwhelmed and this is easy stuff. It's a small menu and you just press a touch screen. It was shocking the staff lack of competence and assuming not enough training . So I never got to try the chicken sandwich or ribs !!! My adult daughter said I wish I recorded the food line and cashier on a Go Pro to send video to Gilroy Gardens for review. Of the difficulties with staff. To help with training needed. And it's really costing them money will people giving up ordering and slow orders. They cannot use the display terminals where you just touch the item and it's ordered and it's a small menu. Our cherry punch card gave us free alcoholic drinks made with cherry juice. We walked over to the bar area and the guy ignored us for 10 min before finally saying I'm not open until 1 pm. He was setting up and we assumed he opened any minute as they didn't say we couldn't use the card got our drinks until 2 hours after park opening. This was the drink area set up by the Chinese Wok eating place. Making us wait for drinks 10 min + and then saying I'm not opening until 1 pm. They also don't tell you on the website nothing on the park takes CASH. Only cards. This comment is about the guests. The trend for parents to get these huge Wagons for 1 or more kid is so annoying. Huge wagons full of enough stuff for a small garage sale. It makes the parks more unnecessarily crowded. They do rent a few types of strollers here. So you need not bring one. Anyway. My last comment is park hours daily 11 to 5 pm doesn't work well they open so late you get there and are hungry. Then with the inadequate trained staff and taking forever to order and get food you waste half the day A 10 am opening would be perfect. 11 is too late. As it was we were only able to get one of our prepaid cherry drinks each due to waiting everywhere and slow service If we go again. We are eating an early lunch outside the park and going in with full stomachs.
