As soon as we sat down, our server was incredibly welcoming and attentive. I asked him for a drink recommendation and told him what flavors I usually enjoy, and he immediately suggested something that ended up being absolutely perfect for me. The drink didn't take long at all to come out as well! Everyone at my table ordered burgers, and we were all impressed. The portions were generous, and the burgers were cooked just right. They were juicy, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling overly heavy. We paired them with fries and onion rings for the table, and both were sooo crispy and delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful both outside and inside. It has a really inviting vibe, and you can tell they put effort into creating a space that feels stylish but still comfortable. My son chose a medium-well burger, but it arrived more on the rare side, and the fries were equally soggy, uncooked and unappetizing. The total for our meals, NOT excluding the tip, amounted to $56.23. My son barely touched his burger or the fries, while my husband consumed half of his Reuben but left the fries untouched. I of course used Yelp to find a good diner on my drive from New Brunswick to Atlantic City. I found Broad Street located in Keyport not far from the Garden State Parkway. It's your "classic" diner which has that 1950's vibe with the exterior and interior decor. Elvis paraphernalia is featured here. They had a busy lunch crowd. I sat at the counter and ordered a McCaffrey Wrap which comes with grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and honey mustard. It was really good. The side of sweet potato fries were crispy and seasoned just right. The staff were courteous and the service quick. There is a small parking lot that can accommodate about five cars. There was plenty of on street parking. The downtown area was nice and you can take a nice walk after dining here to the waterfront.
