They always want top price and act like it hurts them to drop a price a hundred or so. They only Cater to the local farmers in our county and other farmers from different counties as they depend on them for trading and service. When the tow truck driver showed up and had his instructions from my insurance provider on where to tow the car, he said "no you don't want to go there, you want to go to Cheatwood's." So you hope he's not getting a kickback and that the garage is honest. These guys are! They told me straight up that it might take them a few days because the owner's mother was in the hospital and he was in and out. They were good at keeping in touch with me and giving me updates and when I got the car back and took it to my mechanic, he said they did exactly what he would've done and for less money! The trooper told my husband to go ahead and leave while I went with our son in the ambulance to get him checked out, that Cheatwood wouldn't take the car to our son's house, but would tow it to their lot. This was around 1 in the morning. They towed the car to their lot and didn't bother to call us any on the Thursday. We called on Friday, and were told that we could pick the car up before 5 pm, but if it stayed longer, there would be a $50 a day storage charge. We rented a trailer and went to pick up our Miata. When we got there, we were told the bill was over $400--$100 for two days of storage and $325 for the towing! That's nothing less than highway robbery. I've had my Class 8 tractor towed farther for less than that! We will NEVER use them again. If we have another incident of any sort and are told they are the ones on rotation, we will decline their services. And, we are telling all our friends about this and encouraging them not to use this company, either.

Billy Holbrook was to rebuild the transmission in my 1998 Honda Accord and he said he would do it…read morefor $1, 400. I should have been suspicious when he asked for $500 up front. So, about a month later, he has his wife call me and tell me that they need an additional $200 right now, and if I get it to them, they will have the car by the end of the week! It was like they were holding my car for ransom. I begrudgingly paid the $200 . . . but, guess what? No automobile by the end of the week. In fact, it was over a month before he got the car back to me. *He had the car from April 20 to June 22! When they called to tell me the car was ready, they asked that I bring the remaining money to them in cash, plus they increased the price by another $90!!! Their reasoning was that they've had customers in the past to stop payments on checks. Now, I wonder why that might have happened? I go to pick the car up, but I bring a check instead. I wanted to make sure I had a receipt, and it's just good business. His entire family comes out of the woods (mother and father) and start trying to yell at me for bringing a check. I told them that my check was good, and I even offered to call the bank to verify funds. At this point, I should have realized that he knew his work was no good and figured that I would stop payment on the check. I finally told him to take the check or he could keep the car. He then asked me to remain there while his wife went and cashed the check before I could leave with my car. I then decided I would drive off and leave the thing and that's when he finally decided to take the check and let me take the car. Now, here's the bad part. I drive off in the car and it appears to do ok, until the next day when . . . you guessed it . . . the transmission goes out again and I have to have the car towed at a fee of $250. Then, I call the Holbrook's to let them know the problem. His wife said she would speak to Billy and have him call me back. Instead, the wife calls back and informs me that there is nothing that they can do!!! So, I'm out over $1, 400 bucks because of Billy Holbrook and Holbrook Auto Specialists. I have had my regular mechanic verify that the problem with my automobile was the transmission and that Mr. Holbrook should repair the problem. Billy Holbrook and Holbrook Auto Specialists will NOT stand behind their work. You would think that if he was a professional, he would at least look at the automobile and try to repair the problem. Please choose somebody else to work on your car. These people are unprofessional and will con you into paying more money than originally agreed. It is a shame to have Billy Holbrook and his unscrupulous business in the Ranburne and Heflin area.

We started driving and it broke down 9 miles later. We tried to fix it and could not get I touch with anyone from the dealership. Got ahold of the sales guy on Sunday after being on the median until midnight trying to fix the truck and he said he was trying to call people but could not get ahold of anyone. After a day and a half on the median we got the truck towed back to buster miles and showed up Monday after watching the sales manager tweet about how great church was on Sunday. Only thing that would have made it even better was it the service was about the Good Samaritan. When we got back to the dealership the sales lady acted as if we were an annoyance. What a terrible dealership.
