Wow it's affirming to see the other poor reviews. The fact the others are having similar experiences lets me know it's not just me. I was dealing with a lot and having a hard time solidifying paperwork with Heidi in a timely manner. So I definitely understand why she would be frustrated. What is ridiculous to me is how a supposed therapist would be so rude and unprofessional. What kind of professional makes assumptions and judgmental statements especially in a profession dealing with people struggling with anxiety and depression. Heidi was nice during the few sessions I did attend. I missed a session due to a medical reason and was billed a $100 no-show fee. After explaining to her the circumstances of my absence, I requested a one-time courtesy waiver, which she declined and then a courtesy fee reduction, which she also declined. I respected her decision and paid the fee and she sent an apology text that includes some typos so I replied with a question mark and she blew up on me and claimed I was harassing her. Her reply included an "OMG" in it because she was frustrated I didn't assume what her typos meant. I would've considered still working with her even after paying the $100 no-show fee, but after her blow-up reply, absolutely not and I wouldn't recommend anyone else work with her. I wish I would have read the reviews. Worst therapy experience of my life. A week after a D & C miscarriage I went to this therapy session. She told me during the therapy session "you are a bad listener". It was the beginning of our third session, she probably hadn't had enough time to get to know me and I thought we would still be in the relationship building stage where she would want to hear my story. I felt she was judging me without even giving me a chance to talk. She criticized my way of speaking saying it was a "constant narrative". She then asked me what situations had led to my anxiety. I informed her that I did not know. She made me feel that because I didn't know I was unwilling to do therapy and then proceeded to say "therapy should not feel like an argument" and then said she would "refund my money". Session over. I felt worse about myself after our third session then before I started. I came to her for a miscarriage, anxiety & feelings of anger. I felt criticized, chastised for being a bad listener and then dumped as being not a good fit for her. She was defensive, argumentative and rude. She at one point before she dumped me asked "and how would you like to run therapy?" in what I can only describe as a passive aggressive tone. Her abrasive style is lacking empathy. I don't know how she ended up in this field as I do not think she has any care for her patient's wellbeing and due to her lack of professionalism/standard of care how she has kept her license. read more

TRUST all the negative reviews! Only reason I begrudgingly bypassed what was found here on Yelp is due to a friend 'knowing someone that sees Heidi' and recommended. As others have noted, ALL the emails and texts were honestly, concerning. She comes across unorganized - and the tone of all these messages, unhinged. The multitude of typos, LONG messages in email with all sorts of bold/highlights, was confusing on how everything worked. However, she was highly focused on obtaining my insurance info and copay, but failed to explain that MUST BE paid and will show as due upon logging into the session. I've met with a two others practitioners to see if we vibe, neither CHARGED me anything for an initial meeting. After the cluster F this process was, was happy to take the no show fee of $75 and blocked her. I'd encourage you to LOOK ELSEWHERE as this whole experience creeped me out. read more

I was at her mercy for a big chunk of my youth while she served as the guardian ad litem in my parents' custody battle. She was a condescending, patronizing bully and tried to gaslight me about everything I said. She robbed me of my childhood and did absolutely nothing to help me, all while she earned a cushy living the same way she always has and always will -- cultivating and preying on human misery. I unfortunately booked an appointment for my wife and I to see this therapist, a day before our appointment i looked up reviews and they were quite alarming to say the least. I let Heidi know my concerns and cancelled the appointment. She instantly became defensive over my concerns and promptly reminded me of the contract she has you sign regarding her cancelation fees. Safe to say the reviews on here look to be accurate as my short interaction was not very professional and seems to money driven only. Look elsewhere there is a reason she has openings! read more

It took me a while and a new therapist to get over how she treated me. She is the definition of a narcissistic therapist. She will blame everyone else, like a true narcissist, but will never actually see that she is unprofessional, rude and straight up mean. She made me cry from the things she said to me on the phone during our last session and then got upset when I shut down. She called me and my doctor " lazy" for taking anxiety medications for my panic attacks. The list goes on and on. She will never recognize this of course, but please read every single other review from the last 6 years on EVERY platform and you will find the same thing. Her license should be taken away at this point. I completely agree with everyone else by the way that she is extremely rude until she realizes you have great insurance. She also spent all of our sessions talking about herself like a true narcissist but frames it as " i'm not someone that will just nod yes and no". If I could give her zero stars I would. Completely unprofessional, overshares personal information and very unemotional. Only cares about the money and has no interest in making relationships or keeping clients. She even had the nerve to call me a liar when we never officially met. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I sought out counseling because of conflict with our future DIL and I brought my spouse in so we could be on the same page. I saw this person twice, my husband saw her once and we together met with her once. Read the emails: Subject: appointmenmt times Hello - I want to say I very much dislike having a rushed conclusion to the appointment, 10 minutes late for my next client who was patiently waiting. Sessions are 50-55 minutes and will start at 5 after the time scheduled or 5 minutes after you arrive if late - in which case we still end at the top or bottom of the hour depending on how I schedule that day. I find it really disrupts the helpfulness of the relationship when I have to abruptly end the session and am getting frustrated that the end of the session time isn't easily accomplished between me and the client. Lets make this situation work and wrap up and take care of scheduling and payments if necessary prior to the end of the clock hour and wrap up on time. Heide. I'm not sure how to respond to your email. We arrived on time to our session - you arrived late. We waited in the waiting room for you to get ready. Bob & I sat down on your couch together at 2:11pm. You sat down at 2:14pm, joined in on our conversation of the red chairs you talked about acquiring them till 2:19pm. I was in front of the clock watching the time. I felt during our session you talked more about yourself than we were able to communicate about why we were there. Over half of our time after you sat down consisted of your life: the chairs, son, hockey, daughter, brother, sister-in-law, nephew, car, co-worker etc.... My husband said at his 1st meeting with you that you mostly talked about yourself. I was surprised because I felt you and I had communicated very well on our two sessions. After our rushed session and leaving, I told my husband I was very disappointed, that I felt nothing was accomplished in our session and that I agreed with him you talked mostly about yourself in this one. Receiving your very insensitive email made me upset. Reading it to my husband, he replied it was a mutual failure but that you are the professional in this field and are ultimately responsible. We've decided that this is not the kind of counseling we were looking for and we have canceled our upcoming appointments. We will send you a $30 copay for our last session. No need. I cancelled the sessions blocked the accounts after the last session as I wasn't willing to reschedule. I only work in situations where people are willing to see their part of the problem and solution. Obviously you miss the common elements in the sharing of information and examples of life that were related hoping you would see the commonalities before you end up further estranged from your son and hoping to help you salvage the relationship with your future daughter in law. Apparently you didn't see or hear the points of those relative examples to show how others have successfully made it through difficult relationships and how to better view your own situation. Therapists share to reveal common links to how we all have situations that can be handled successfully. I'm sorry the stories weren't related to or that the examples not seen for the aspects that could help you learn from them. It was clear that although your husband is able to see the greater wisdom and politics of how to have good future relationships, you are bent on confrontation and allegiance from him- to you which will further compromise the family and not end up with growing positive relations with your future daughter in law. If you don't change it will all be tumultuous. I am afraid you missed all the points in what was shared hoping you don't implode the situation. Don't send the check. It won't be cashed. read more

A few days before my appointment I got a very unprofessional email saying " this is clearly a conflict of interest and my appointment was canceled". I responded asking why she felt it was a conflict of interest, as I have never meet her before. She rudely responded with " we will have no further contact, I will not reply". Please do not see this so called counselor! Instead of helping my ex-husband and I coparent together she drove us further apart. She is not honest and talks about herself more than anything. It was a complete waste of time and money. She is not a trustworthy person and could have truly caused irreparable damage to our children. She gave very bad advice to my ex-husband that had his lawyer followed would have caused horrible consequences. I wish I had seen her bad reviews before suggesting her as an option. If your going to see this provider beware. It starts off really good but then you start to realize that you are getting nowhere, this provider does not help you move forward and does not answer your questions. You sit and talk for an hour but nothing gets resolved. At the end, everyone gets the same diagnosis. You are told your bi-polar and told she knew that was your diagnosis from the beginning. In addition, her offsite billing service is not worth the $5.00 dollar charge you get. She does not follow up on any denials so be prepared to babysit and read every bill. You will become the insurance person for your own account. Instead of helping you deal with and resolve your life issues, you will enter with a diagnosis of Bi-Polar and/or just be offered psych meds. read more
