Came here on a Monday around noon so parking was very easy. The views along the walkway were stunning. We saw some people painting the landscape, and it's a perfect area to do so. I can see why people would come here for wedding pictures/other photo opportunities. The walk is an easy on. And there multiple entry points to the beach. The beach is amazing. I love this park and have been coming here for the past 8 years. There's bathrooms and cool spots to see the sunset and sunrise. It gets heavily touristy during the summer. But when it's cold out, exploring the park and beaches is a treat. I also love the gazebo, you can look out over the ocean and down at the seals that chill on the rocks below. There's plenty of benches to sit, and grassy areas above the beach to have a picnic. There's also a small amphitheater where people do yoga from time to time. Parking is metered. Great park to visit and right next to downtown Laguna Beach. read more

I am visiting from Florida, so I have seen a beach or two, but this park is on a top of a list of my favorite beach spots of all time. My first time here today since it's too hot in the San Fernando Valley. I used to go to Zuma beach in Malibu before but I wanted a change this time. I've seen pictures of this beach and I've always wanted to come here. Today was a perfect day as the temp where I live was at 104F. I parked a little far away from the beach. It was a 7min walk. I didnt mind since I love working out. As soon as I got there, the beach wasnt too busy. But then again, its friday. I love the area and will definitely go back if it wasnt an hour and a half drive from where I live. The beach is clean and well taken cared of. Please let's all help keep it that way. This is a tiny beach property that if you go early enough you may be lucky to find a space to sit on. The day was hot, the air was still, and the water was ice cold! Spent a couple of hours relaxing by the shore with some sparkling water and some cheese and crackers, listening to the waves crash on the shore. Then four teen girls came along and obsessively took phots of each other for their social media accounts for an hour and a half! Good grief, is this really all kids do? They never stopped, but it made for an entertainment value that was hysterical! read more

I'm part of the many visitors that visit Laguna Beach & Heisler Park. I have many fond memories that begin at Las Brisas restaurant and continue to Heisler park; we've enjoyed Mother's Day brunch, Birthday Lunch, at Las Brisas then we walked over to Heisler park is literally a few steps from the restaurant. We have even done the opposite attended my friend's wedding at the park then walked to Las Brisas for the wedding reception. I have even been here on a date how cool is that! Heisler Park! Most recently my daughter, and I spend a good part of our day in this Gorgeous park. It has a gazebo we saw a couple taking engagement pictures there. Heisler park, offers a paved walking path with many interesting sculptures that are placed along the way. Amazing views of the coastline blue ocean views that just take your breath away. You can catch some Mesmirazing sunsets views to post on social media. Create some beautiful memories with friends-family many come over to have a family picnics, take engagement pictures, Celebrate Weddings it's an awesome park. Heisler Park is a nice park with beach access in Laguna Beach. I went here last month with my boyfriend when we were spending the day in O.C. It's a nice place for families. There were a lot of picnics going on, they have a playground for kids and they even had volleyball tents set up. Parking can be kind of tough, we ended up finding a spot within the nearby neighborhood, but it wasn't too far of a walk. read more

Amazing views. Easily accessible. The only real challenge is parking (sometimes) I love taking my grandma here. It's an easy walk with rails for safety. Overlooking the ocean. There are bbqs and grassy spots for picnics. Restrooms and full beach access. Laguna is really the most beautiful beach in SOCAL. This is a great park to visit for a walk or get there early and grab a bbq and spend the day. You won't regret it. The coastal views are outrageous. Makes you feel like you are in the tropics. Hummingbirds. Squirrels. Gorgeous natural landscaping. I could go on and on. Make some memories here and it will continue to be a magical spot for the rest of your life. This iconic California beach park is one of those places you should visit at least once in your life, especially if you live in Southern California. Its compelling beauty might cause you to come back many, many times. There is a fabulous paved walkway that stretches from Laguna's Main Beach Park all the way through Heisler Park to Divers Cove, hugging the cliff and providing spectacular views of the ocean and coastline all the way. It's really something special and can make for a really awesome outing for the day. Heisler Park itself stretches along part of the path, featuring well-maintained grassy areas and stone park tables that make for more "ultimate picnic with an epic view" spots than you could possibly count. There are a few art installations, benches with views, and always a soft breeze coming off the ocean that makes things a bit fresher and more beautiful every day. There is also a gentle ramp that stretches down to the sand, if getting your feet wet or spending some time on the beach is more your thing. The beach is long, flat, and clean, There are a few tidepools to explore nearby if you are feeling adventurous. As far as beach parks go, this one is a 10/10 in my book. read more

The view is the 5 star point here! It is such a pretty ocean view! It is only a short walk from the main beach and shops, but, it's still a pretty quiet and relaxing area in Laguna beach. Walking along the path ways, you can observe painters and sketch artists filling in their canvas with perspective and depth. You can find friends and families descending the stairs to get to the small beach below the cliffs. People walk about with their doggy friends throughout the day. Families picnicking are a common sight to see. Its a scenic park that all are welcome to enjoy. read more

Heisler Park is one of the many beautiful beaches that Laguna has to offer. The cool thing about this beach is that it's connected to a park thus maximizing your outdoor experience. I came here to relax, and enjoy the beach which I accomplished. There is no way to do justice to the park's beauty with words, you would have to visit the park to understand all that it has to offer. I stumbled across this Beautiful Park when I was exploring Orange County. This park is absolutely gorgeous. The views are breathtaking definitely one of my favorite places to go to watch the Sunset. I'd advise to bring change for the meters along and understand parking in that area is extremely limited plan accordingly especially if you are traveling here with a large group . The panoramic views are so picture perfect ! Lots of ppl come with family and do a picnic at the park , I've seen others just relaxing and reading a book to wedding & engagement photos to family portraits. Heisler Park in the city of Laguna Beach is on a cliff with a view of the coastline. There is a meandering path with a view of the coastline and lots of public art. The walking path ends at Diver's Cove. If you take a few more steps you will see a sign and steps that go down to Fisherman's Cove. Fisherman's Cove is one example of a small cove(y) beach that you wont see unless you walk down the steps. The beach is usually calm and therefore the ideal place to launch your kayak or SUP. Heisler Park is probably my favorite spot to enjoy a sunrise, sunset, or simply a nice walk. I absolutely recommend anyone visiting Laguna Beach find their way here and take a walk throughout. Elevated up above the beach and water below, there are sidewalks, railings, the occasional set of stairs, and even sign postings containing nature information and historical facts about the local area. The grounds are landscaped and maintained fantastically. Even on a gloomy or foggy morning, the views are exceptional. My hubby and i love going here if we want to do some walking and get some fresh air. This park is well maintained. There are picnic areas for families, benches along the walking path for when you get tired and more importantly has many beautiful spots to just simply watch the ocean. Highly recommend this place to bring your visitors from out of state. Street parking and structure parking behind the restaurant rows are available. There are also parking lots far from the beach and just take the free trolley to go around Laguna beach. read more

Gorgeous park, right on the beach! This is a perfect spot for photos, whether formal or informal, for a family or even engagement shots. There's a nice trail going around the area, plenty of metered parking, lots of seating (check out the benches fashioned out of repurposed surf boards!), including a gazebo overlooking the incredible views. It is truly a beautiful area. You can make your way down to the water if you like, but it's a rocky beach and be aware that it's a surfing-only area: you can peek in the tidepools and maybe make a sandcastle in the limited sandy areas, but don't get in thinking you can go for a swim here, it's expressly forbidden. read more

One of the most scenic parts of Laguna Beach and easily my favorite oceanside park all throughout Orange County. Highlighted by its breathtaking views, spacious walkway paths and easy access from the park right down to the beach and the divers cove. It is ideal for general beach-goers, families, joggers and photographers. The park is set-up along the bluff top, which is located on Cliff Drive and stretches over a couple of miles. You will find some of the most stunning views of the coastline from here. And besides connecting to various coves, the walking trails also conveniently lead to the Main Beach Broadwalk. The magnificent views, gentle breeze and palm tree-lined beaches will remind many of a tropical island. An ideal location for a picnic, barbecue or to watch the sunset. There are numerous benches throughout the park. Picnic tables and BBQ grills are at the north end of the park. Additionally, there are well-kept grassy areas to lay your tarps and lawn chairs. Those that venture down to the beaches will find showers at the bottom of the stairs, while restrooms and drinking fountains are at the top of the hill above the beaches. Despite its claim as being "one of OC's dog friendliest towns," dogs are only allowed on the beach during the winter months. (There are signs at the beach which posts the specific dates on which dogs are off limits. Information is also available on the city website.) Although obviously a very popular summer destination, parking will prove to be difficult all throughout the year. Parking in metered spaces is $2.25 per hour. You will find them all along Cliff Drive. Heisler Park, in spite of the difficulties in finding parking, is otherwise perfect for all the things people generally like to do at the beaches or community parks: people watching, sunbathing, lounging, walking or jogging, snapping photos, playing in the sand, barbecues and picnics. It is almost worth a trip here just to catch the magnificent views of the Laguna Beach coastline. They are mesmerizing. In my opinion, easily the nicest oceanside park in Orange County I have visited. read more

Here meter, meter, meter, where are you? While in a frenzy trying to find parking I came across this park. It had lots of available metered parking. 25 cents gave you 8 minutes. Ack. The park had many nearby residents that came to exercise, walk their dogs, or chat with close friends. As my friend and I strolled through the park I took photos of the Aloe Vera that grew along the paths. The park had approximately 10 picnic tables with trash cans. The women's restroom had five CLEAN stalls. They even had a blower to dry your hands. This restroom was the cleanest I have seen at a park! At monument point, I witnessed some of the best views along the coast. Waves crashed along huge jagged rocks below. The telescope came in handy. I saw a few pelicans that flew into the horizon. Either my vision was bad or the lenses were dirty because everything was blurry! We came back to this park at 4:50 pm to see the sunset. We found a bench on the hill and watched the day fall asleep. The sky painted colors from gray to yellow and from purple to pink. Tall palm trees became dark silhouettes that framed the beautiful pastel sky. I demand you to look at my photos! =) read more

There are a few sets of stairs to small beach areas, as well as tide pools, so pretty, you never know what kind of wildlife you will encounter. This park is as crowded as other beach areas and parks in Laguna Beach. It is pretty and small, finding parking is impossible, also the popular mexican restaurant at the entrance of this park attracts more crowds so parking makes it even more worse. Best is to park at Vons for free and catch shuttle at there. Expecting a walk and relaxation along the pretty beach scenery, this is not the place. Too crowded, walk path is too narrow and too many cars. But for fun, excitement and party, this is the place. Maybe at sunset on weekdays will be less crowded? read more

If I were planning a wedding in S. California, it would be difficult to beat this spot. When we recently stayed in Laguna, it is clear that it is wedding central (even in March) and it is not hard to see why. I love walking with my feet in the sand starting at Main Beach and heading south. But if you head north from Main Beach, you climb up to the bluffs and walk through Heisler Park. There is a beautiful wood gazebo, that I am sure is a focal point for wedding ceremonies or photographs and the park even has a lawn bowling facility. You don't see that at the average park. This park was going through a significant renovation when we were there so not all of the paths were accessible. I am sure it will be gorgeous (and worthy of five stars) when all of the facilities reopen. read more

I got to admit, this was the perfect date spot. We came here because we had time to kill and wanted to just go out. The weather was clear and breezy and it make the perfect date. There was plenty of metered parking along Cliff, $2.50 will get you an hour of parking. Parking meters take quarters and dollar coins, they also take card. But if you want some change instead of using card, there's a change machine just a little up the road. This date spot turned into a photo shoot spot because there was so many cute places to take pictures. There's a large gazebo, bbq areas with picnic tables, lots of benches, and even an amphitheater. There's a few bbq grills available, portable grills and other cooking devices are not allowed. This was a pretty quiet place, you can find a nice shade area to relax and read, or even do yoga. It overlooks out to Laguna Beach, which the water is typically calm and turquoise. The park is free to enter, the only downside was I couldn't find any free parking but I definitely will come back! read more
