It has been a minute since I have been to a barber, long before I moved to the area, and well overdue. Knowing that I was going to be heading out of town for an event very soon I wanted to get my beard shaped up. I had been attempting to do it and to me it was looking lopsided. I did a fair amount of searching for a barbershop and went through the reviews for them. I came across this one and liked what I saw. I set up my appointment online ahead of time which made it a bit easier. Doing so you have the choice of selecting who you want to service you. Being that I had never been here before I opted for whoever was available at that time. I had set my appointment for shortly after they opened and after my appointment beforehand. Showed up a few minutes early and took my time in the parking lot before going inside. Once inside I was greeted as soon as I walked in and told that I needed to give them just a minute. Once they were set up and ready to go I was called to a chair. Asked what I wanted to have done and with a few vague comments about that, we were off. They were meticulous with my ask and focused. All the while chatting me up. It was comical to hear the banter in here. They had on CNN and their commentary was better than the newscasters. I was looking for a barber that I would be happy to return to because they understood my request and accomodated. I have been use to barbers kind of getting what I was saying, but disregarding requests like "please don't clean up my edges. I like them natural," and only to have them decide to do what they thought best. Today, Jordan, an ambitious young man (still a junior in high school), talk about his dreams while doing EXACTLY what I requested. I am VERY pleased with my cut and will be returning on a regular basis. I was also pleased with the fact that I made an appointment using current technology and was serviced IMMEDIATELY upon arrival. The staff was professional and friendly. The shop was clean and attractive. They accepted cash and credit. THey even had "The Queen's Gambit" (a TV show about a female chess champion) playing for our entertainment. I was very pleased with my experience. read more

If you live within 45 mins of Columbia and you go to a different barber, you are missing out Christophers is a top tier barber studio in a nice shopping center with a owner who cares about his community and customers. Prices are on par with anywhere you get a quality cut. If you want a $15 haircut, sports clips or hair cuttery will gladly screw up your hair and forget who you are by the time you need another trim. Good environment, good music, good conversation. Do yourself a favor and become a regular. The owner Chris is a great barber but I've never seen anyone walk out with a bad cut. read more

I have going to Christopher's Barber Studio Too for 3 months. My barber is Anthony and he is always on point. I can always reach him. He gives me a time, I show up and I'm in the chair. I showed up one Saturday and it was standing space only. But all of the barbers took the people who had appointments first and tried to work in the walk ins along the way.
