Hair by Ellie is requiring a hair correction per independent professional assessment. She extended the tone so you couldn't really see that quality of the highlights. I addressed the issues and made several attempts to maintain professional relationship as she did well with shaping the hair. She ended up offering re toning the over toned hair and later asserting the end of the professional relationship. During the appointment things also seem to fall apart as she double booked. Men's fades are not her forte In addition, I reached out to the owner asking if she could fix my hair but noted she wasn't available. NEVER BOOKING AGAIN. These people are completely inconsiderate of their clients time and are unreliable. I set aside a time for 4PM and they pushed my appointment to 5PM, so I already had to wait an additional hour. I live half an hour away, come in and they refused me service due to poor reception. Not only did I lose money by transportation and taking time off work, I explained my situation and they offered zero compensation. This is extremely unacceptable, there's no reason I should've paid for a service I never received when they couldn't keep their end of the bargain. I requested a ROOT-TOUCHUP. In what world would the possibility of having to bleach someone's hair not come to mind? If my hair grew blonde why on Gods green EARTH would I book an appointment if I could just simply DO IT MYSELF. Like what possibly went through their undeveloped frontal lobe. And something's clearly not adding up, REGARDLESS you still would've had to formulate a COLOR MATCH even if I didn't NEED bleach. They didn't even reach out to me, update me on their availability or say sorry, I am infuriated. Instead of having my expectations met I walked out with tears knowing that I lost so much money. I don't get my hair professionally cut often because I've had some bad experiences. After not cutting my hair for over a year(yes I know) I decided to try a new place. Super easy to book with and the stylist, Alycia, was phenomenal! She is a newer stylist and expressed that but in a way that didn't make me concerned that she didn't know what she was doing, more so she wanted to talk me through the process to make sure I was happy as well as perfecting her craft. She also took money off my bill for running behind a little(it happens so I was surely not expecting to be discounted). I can not speak highly enough about Alycia, I will def be going back regularly and seeing her! Thanks for making my visit so enjoyable and personable! I am warning y'all to STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! They don't do good work and don't try to fix their mistakes or make it right! I would give zero stars if I could due to the horrid experience this turned out to be. I made an appointment with JESSICA for a balayage. I arrived for my appointment and she was still working on a client, telling me she was "running just a little bit behind." Well, I waited. Not wanting to be demanding, I waited some more, all the while fretting that I'd be late for another appointment I had made 3.5 hours after my 1 pm appointment. She had previously told me that she estimated about an hour and a half service. Finally, after an hour of waiting for her to finish and be ready for me, I was invited to take a seat. I showed Jessica a picture of the look and color I was requesting. I thought it was strange that she barely looked at the photo, but she seemed like she knew what to do. Honestly, I was still seething from being made to waste an about waiting. I asked a little about the process and was told she'd lighten my hair and then apply toner. Everything was taking much longer and I was starting to be worried I'd miss my next appointment so I asked how much longer she thought it would take. She answered a little nonchalantly, "Oh, do you have somewhere to be?" I explained and adjusted my other appointment to a later time, 30 more minutes. During the service I let Jessica know that my hair, when dyed, tended to turn very reddish and to please make sure that didn't happen. After more time, still not finished so I called my other appointment to reschedule for the next day and thought, I'd rather have her get this right than not. Once she was "finished" I was a little shocked... my hair kinda looked...the same. I asked her why it wasn't lighter and she claimed that after a few washes it would lighten, but not like what I had requested. Confused, I thought maybe it would look good after a few washes. After a day and two washes later, it did not look much different and in fact, I discovered that she had completely failed to apply toner to a lightened strand of hair, it was blond! I reached out via her cell and only after sending a message directly to the salon, did she respond back on her cell the following day. I sent her pictures and she still really didn't respond back in a timely manner. The next day I reached out again, asking her to please correct it and gave her my availability for that day and the next (Monday and Tuesday). She said she had time on Saturday and that she could apply toner to the missed spot. I let Jessica know that the results weren't what I expected and whether she could do it so it matched what I requested. She then asked that I pay AGAIN for a lightening service, using the excuse that my color just "didn't lift enough" which is a bold faced lie, considering the untoned hair is very much blond/light. She must've picked the wrong toner. On top of that, the little bit that you can see in my hair that's a slightly lighter brown than my natural hair color just looks like weird highlights, not a nice gradual and natural lightening. The pictures tell a story and show the proof that my words are true. I kept our text conversation as well. She was only willing to "fix" the spot she missed but took no responsibility for not delivering anything remotely close to what was asked of her and no assistance in scheduling me sooner so I don't walk around with a weird random blond spot on my head for the entire week. I told her, the least she could do is stay a bit later sooner to add the toner but to no avail. I paid $150 plus a generous tip, even though the service itself was garbage and couldn't get Jessica to stand by her work. When I told her that then I was asking for a partial refund, she said no refunds. I said I could try and see about it with GINNY, the owner. JESSICA told me the owner already knew about what was happening. So not only is Jessica an absolutely awful stylist but Ginny allows for this kind of behavior and poor customer service to happen at her establishment. read more

I got my hair done by Jessica. She gave me the opposite of what I wanted . It looked so bad . she made my roots look grown out and gave me blotchy hair. My hair looked worse leaving then when I came in will never go there again. She didn't even rinse my hair out all the way, the whole back of my head was covered in dye!! Very disappointed . Kathy has taken on every challenge I've put forth and succeeded. I like to change it up frequently (highlights, lowlights, straight-up bleaching my whole head!) and I love the outcome 99% of the time and if I don't, she redoes it until I'm satisfied. My hair tends to get brassy and pull gold and she knows exactly what to do to prevent that. She has really gotten to know me and knows how my hair will react. I love my hair, but let me go back to the beginning. Hubby loves long hair. Me, not so much. It never looks right on me, and I have to crimp it, curl it, spend HOURS to get it presentable then it all falls out in moments. I had burned it to death trying to grow it out. On top of that, I tried to lighten it up with highlights so I didn't look so darned OLD and yes, I messed it all up. So in I went. Kathy took one look at me and I knew....I knew she thought "WHAT THE HECK HAVE YOU DONE?" But she said NOTHING. Until I did, that is. And she made it all better for a price I could NOT believe. I called last minute to see if I can get a brazilian blow out for a special dinner I had one night, and she got me in. She did a brazilian blowout which she did WONDERFUL, my hair was so shiny and soft and she straitened it just how I wanted it. She knew what she was doing. She also put in layers in my hair after the blow out which she also did a good job. The atmosphere was very Homey and comfortable like you're just with your girlfriends having a beauty say. What can I say about Kathy? She is a hair genius!! My last hair cut was miserable to say the least and I had colored my own hair for so long that it was patchy, dry, and damaged. I liked their confidence on the phone when I called to ask about prices and appointments. Some salons just don't give a good vibe over the phone, but this one definitely did! Plus they open with, "Hello Gorgeous! How can I help you..." Adorable. I felt good about placing my hair in their hands. I went in for a basic women's cut ($25) and although my hair was a frizzy, uneven, home-dye disaster, I was treated kindly. Ann gave me tips for curls along the way, and let me know their Brazilian Blowout is low-, to no-formaldehyde. Still, nooooo thanks. There were a few gray heads in the small salon when I came in, which always worries me (I'm in my 20s), but I think that's just their morning crowd. Make no mistake this salon is good for all ages. She listens and offers great advice on cuts, colors and treatments. She has done some amazing haircuts on me and even a pretty severe color correction.
