I've been seeing her consistently for over a year for facials, brow waxing, and brow coloring, and I have never been disappointed. Her space is always calming, spotless, and so thoughtfully put together, it feels like a reset every time I walk in! Her prices are truly great for the level of care, expertise, and quality she provides. Every appointment feels like such a treat, yet still so accessible. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the products she uses and is always happy to share why something works and how to get the best results. I now buy most of my skincare products directly from her because I trust her recommendations that much. And if there's ever something she's not 100% sure about, she will take the time to research it and follow up. For example, I recently started dealing with perioral dermatitis, and she went out of her way to look into the best approach and set me up with a new regimen. Her appointments are so relaxing and genuinely one of the highlights of my month. I always walk out feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and like I've taken real care of myself. The salon she works in is also adorable and always clean. Every service provider I've interacted with there has been warm, friendly, and welcoming. It's just a great environment overall. I visited Paige, a stylist I discovered on Instagram (instagram.com/theroothairdesign), and shared my desired hairstyle. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing. Initially, she apologized and offered to try again at no cost. However, upon my return, she had only made the issue worse, damaging my hair, leaving me to find a new stylist to help fix it, who states it is not safe to do anything to my hair for at least a month or 2 while using very expensive products to help gain the strength in my hair back. I have attached photographs that illustrate each outcome. Paige had given me only 38% back of the cost of the appointment, but had demonstrated a lack of concern/sympathy for addressing the situation or referring me to someone to could help for the traumatic experience she has inflicted upon me with my hair. So now I am just left with this final product of the severe orange and no blending for months to come... (To provide context, I am also 32 weeks pregnant, and my confidence is significantly diminished due to the changes in my body. I sought to regain my sense of beauty again through a hair appointment.) My hair came out lovely, my hairdresser was a Jessica Perfectly blended roots and my hair cut came out perfect

My stylist, Jenna Kojima, just moved here recently so I followed her from Beaverton to here. The salon is LITERALLY across the street from the Hillsboro airport. It's tucked away so I missed the turn. Inside the salon is clean and inviting. All the staff seem to get along really well so it has good vibes. I can't recommend Jenna enough, she does my hair perfectly. I'm happy to have found a stylist who understands my Japanese hair and cuts it perfectly. read more

Maddy did such a nice job on my hair! I have really thick hair and requested that she thin it out a lot, and she did the perfect amount, not overdoing it or under doing it. It's so much lighter and manageable now. She did a great job on my A-line keeping it at a length I can still wear in a pony tail and I'm really happy about that. She is very friendly and sweet as well and I enjoyed getting a hair cut from her. I will definitely be back! read more

Like another reviewer said, I followed Jenna Kojima to this location after her previous one in Beaverton. I've being going to her for more than a year now and in love. She understands my thick Korean hair and always creates the best hairstyles/dyes for me. I love catching up with her every appointment. I don't plan on switching my stylist any time soon. :) It was my first time at Glam Salon and it was very nice. They had recently decorated for the holidays and it felt so cozy and welcoming. The salon is very cute! However I would never get my nails done there ever again!! I had gone there numerous times to get my nails done and kept having the issue of my nails chipping within the first week. She said that it was because of previous work but nails were still falling off and chipping on nails that she had completely took off. There is definitely a miss representation of the quality of the products that she uses and her work. She isn't great with time management and didn't really do all of the covid screening and cleaning between clients. Please go somewhere else to get your nails done. read more

Made an appointment with Quinn Griswold, the stylist I was using to schedule a date further out than my usual highlights so my hair would be fresh for my vacation. She scheduled it knowing it was a few weeks longer out than usual. Unfortunately for me my hair was brass on top, gray further down and ashy blonde on the bottom. It should have been a bright blonde. Did not come close. I questioned her, sent pictures and texts. Quinn's excuses went from me having covid earlier to too much outgrowth to leaving the toner on longer to my hair being dryer to she did the exact same process as before also suggested washing my hair with purple shampoo which I do anyway. Never heard from her OMG come in and let's fix this. Nope it was at my expense because she has a no refund policy or free service also because I scheduled my appointment too far out. What?? I already paid 180.00 so not free. I have never in all my years, as anyones client, been told too bad not their problem. That's as bad as stealing. read more

I would honestly give zero stars if I could.. Moving from out of state has its rough transitions: finding a nail tech, dentist, doctor but so very important a hair stylist... I had a nightmare experience my first go round out here. The gal was confident she could keep me blonde and pull up the brass and instead she thrashed my hair. I'm talking chemical cut of unecessary proportions and 8 left with darker hair then I arrived with. Fast fwd a year later.. I met the the salon owner of glam house salon in Hillsboro. She truthfully told me she felt Compelled to fix my hair after such a horrible experience and followed that with "I don't ever take on new clients but I'll make This exception." I was over the moon excited to sit in her chair and have her work her magic.. I asked for hair in the same pic I showed the last stylist and was giving my 100% trust to Hilary. I was hoping she would put more blonde as we had discussed but she felt a different route would be easier on my hair... " you're the professional, do your thing just make my regrowth blonde to match my ends." she rinses out my hair and starts to blowdry.... The moment of truth!! And sadly I saw a lot of warmth, the very brass I despised.. Now I wasn't ready to throw the towel in, because I understand that these results can be a process. The we started talking my cut... I really love my long hair and it took years to grow out... I shared this with her to make sure she understood how attached I was to the length but aggressively insisted that it had to go... That it looked awful and a bigger chop would be a great start at fixing my hair and bringing out its full potential... I was hesitant but I trusted her judgment and let her cut.... Yes it came out much shorter than I had anticipated, but I was willing to give it time and hope that I got used to it Three and half weeks goes by and I text her to book a retouch and hopefully start pulling through more blonde as we had discussed my first visit.. We had a plan and I let her call the shots.. She doesn't respond. So I text her again 2 days later assuming she swamped with work since getting back from vacation. She finally responds with I don't have openings till August, and I replied with great, I'll take it! She then follows up with: "you seemed unhappy with your hair and it made me uncomfortable, I don't think we're a good fit for eachother.".....so I'm thinking: Um wait so you cut my hair shorter than I wanted and I wasn't keen right away and that immediately means that you as a professional get to be the one who is uncomfortable?" I didn't even complain, I may have made comments like wow it's so short, shorter than I've had in years.. It will take some time to get used to." but somehow that was translated into, I was upset about my hair.. No it was not what I asked for and yes I allowed her to cut it because I trusted her to follow through with a plan of future appointments to get my hair the way I wanted.. When I apologized if that seemed personal, that it was not my intention to be so.. She didn't reply... Then I asked if she knew someone else who was up for task as I don't know anyone out here.... Still No response. Talk about zero professionalism and tact. I've never heard of a client being treated this way and I've been doing hair in the industry for 12 years... Only rude/ disrespectful clients were dismissed and even then it was a stretch.. I have to say this kind of behavior is shocking and very much a let down.. I had high hopes only to be dismissed for having a honest reaction to having 8+ inches of my hair cut off... It's so sad that she could be ok with taking my money, leaving me with results I didn't ask for and then telling me she can't finish the job.. No I do not recommend this salon if you expect to be treated with respect and professionalism.. Don't get me wrong she was pleasant but Integrity is lost on this stylist and it pains me to yet again seek out a truly passionate stylist who listens to their client and their hair dreams... read more

Glam House is a gem in Hillsboro! Hillary, the owner has been doing my hair for over 10 years!!! She is very professional and actually knows what she's doing. I have very dark brown hair and she's been able to take it from brown to purple to even platinum blonde and then take it back to dark! Although it's been a process and I've trusted her! It doesn't just happen overnight but it has been possible! I don't usually like my hair short but there's been times where I've had to cut it for the sake of my hair and she's been right! Its always so much healthier and I know I can trust her because I now have even more hair than I did before!!!! Every time she's been extremely careful and I've been patient! She is amazing!
