Absolutely adore this salon. I've been a long time client here for years, and they've never disappointed me. The ladies are awesome, and never fail to try to achieve your needs. The place is kept clean and it's spacious. My nail lady checked and made sure if my nails were the same length. Didn't grind all the way down to my normal nails to the point where they're brittle before applying fake tips. She was careful to not cut my skin. Decent amount of color selections. Location is kinda hidden, the front of the store looks like it could need some remodel work done. Indoor however is nice. You don't have to worry about parking. DO NOT COME HERE!!! I came in today to get acrylics done. When I came in there was only 1 other person being worked on (obviously they were slow). I wanted a pale pink color & the lady that was going to do my nails was helping me pick a color. She sat me down & first of all she was doing my nails as fast as she possibly could. Did NOT take her time on anything. And it's not like they were busy to begin with so there's no reason for her to be so rushed? I had asked specifically for a manicure so they can clean up my cuticles because they are horrid and she didn't even acknowledge that. She just went straight to sizing the tips. Anyways, she was already putting the acrylic on 3 nails and tells me she is using the pink acrylic (Instead of the typical whitish/pink acrylic) to make it "more pink" for me. Confused, I go "You mean to make the polish I picked stand out more?" She goes "No, to make it a brighter pink. I'll put a clear color over this to make it more pink". Ummm no. I didn't ask for that. I tell her "No, I don't want that. I wanted the pale pink". So she literally puts her finger on the STILL WET acrylic on my finger and wipes it off and gets it ALL over my fingers and doesn't even clean it up!! By the end she is filing it down to make it smooth & there are still several rough spots. The nails are SUPER wonky & crooked. Not even filled all the way. I hadn't even really looked at them until I got in my car and then noticed she literally left a dent in one of my nails. I don't understand how someone can look at nails that messed up & think it's acceptable to charge $40 for them!! I've gotten amazing acrylics done for $30 before. Honestly. I didn't like my experience here. I didn't think it was very clean. My technician had gloves on , which is great, but they were dirty when he checked me in and during the whole appointment. I hope it was red nail polish but in the back of my mind I thought it was blood the whole time. He also didn't speak to me the entire time , which is fine, but he got upset when I didn't bring my own tools to do the manicure...but it was my first time there so I didn't know to do that. The result of my gel manicure was also not anything to write home about. I doubt I'll be back. read more

They do an alright job. Fast- which I like! The only problem I have is THEY have NO SELECTION! Their colors are so basic, and what they have to choose from .. First time & probably last. Everything started out fine, I wanted a shellac manicure. I picked a neutral pinkish color Bali Bliss. After the hand massage I noticed my nails weren't very shiny like there wasn't a top coat. I mentioned it & the tech Jenny didn't seem to understand what I meant. I thought maybe they just needed to be wiped with alcohol like they do sometimes, I asked and she did that. Still didn't look right. I went to the register and another woman asked if everything was ok & then offered to do another top coat. While she was doing that Jenny came over and told her that I asked for the alcohol and implied that had caused the problem. I tried to tell them my nails did not look right before that. They said the first top coat they don't use alcohol with, but the one she was applying last they do. Anyway by the time I left they looked good. Now 2 days later & doing nothing out of the ordinary my nails look yellow. I have never had anything like this happen. I don't know if they didn't leave them under the lamp long enough or did not apply the shellac correctly or what but they look awful now! It looks like I have some kind of nasty medical condition. I loved the color so much the first day & actually tried to find it online to buy in regular polish. I am so disappointed. It was only $25, you get what you pay for I guess? The staff were nice but I don't think I will return. read more

I had bad and cracked acrylic nails that was done by another nail place and one of the nail complete failed out today, so I went in to 5 star to get a refill/new set. I'm so unbelievably mad. I got my nails and eyelashes done here 1 week ago and I take very good care of them. First off my nails started off bad had to have her shorten them more and more cause they kept being uneven and the gel didn't get close to my cuticle at all the next day it looked like 2 weeks of grow. My lashes are what I'm most pissed about I take very good care of them I sleep on my back, brush them out and I usually wait 72hrs before getting water even near them. Day 2 I was missing a chunk. Day 3 I noticed my lash glued above my lash line on my eye lid. Now it's been a week , mind you my lashes have only ever needed a little fill after 3 weeks. HALF OF MY LEFT LASH Extensions IS GONE! I don't get paid till Friday and that's the day I leave for a trip and I won't have time to get them redone somewhere that day. I will never come back..what a waste of 200 dollars! read more

I have had great pedicures and bad pedicures to the point that makes me afraid to try someplace new. I am on vacation and wanted to treat my daughter to the wonderful experience of having her feet pampered and I needed a serious foot smoothing myself. I have seen a few places with lots if reviews with 5 stars on yelp and tried calling them, they were either being remodled or closed. This was a sunday. When I saw this place, it only had 1 review, RATED 5 STARS. The review commented on the pedicure, so i made an appointment. I was very, VERY, PLEASED. Jenny worked on my daughter and Vivian worked on my feet. Both women took their time and did a great job. I think my daughter will be making this a habit. Before i go home later this week, I am going to try some of the other things they offer...like a face message. Will let u know jow that goes. I highly recommend this place and Vivian. I am so mad, I didn't even want to pay for the services done! I just finished my eyebrow lip and chin here. Usually the lady I get is awesome and takes her time! This lady Lynn was slapping wax on my face and ripping it off I'm bleeding everywhere . Did not take her time was out of there in less than 5 minutes when normally takes 20 minutes. Then she gave me a dirty look after I gave her no tip!! Horrible lady to have waxed!! My other lady was so sweet, truly sucks they get a bad review from me because of this lady! read more

My wife went here yesterday and had a really bad experience to end her appointment. My wife gets discounts through her work and this was one that happened to have a discount and was close to our house. When she called she told them of the discount to insure they would honor it. They confirmed they would so she scheduled a date and time. When she arrived she showed them the print out and proceeded with her pedicure. The pedicure was done but the wait was a half an hour after her scheduled appointment. When she finally was finished she was told they weren't going to give her the discount because it was for their higher priced service. She showed the paperwork which started it was for all services except gift cards. They then proceeded to act stupid starting they had never heard of lifebalance (the discount company) and that there are many other companies by the name of five star nails. Horrible experience at the end of what was a pretty standard nail salon experience. Don't waste your time here when you can get the same prices and better services elsewhere. read more
