I recently saw an ad on Instagram for a promo of $20 Brazilian wax or sugaring for first time clients. Honestly, it's the first time I heard of sugaring but apparently it is a better as it's more natural or gentle on the skin. After a few strips of the sugar+citric acid+water paste, it was rather painful for me so the aesthetician recommended we switch to waxing as it was my first time. And I couldn't agree more! Thank you Andrea for being so considerate! I can attest that the waxing was so much better for me, and tolerable. I availed of the $7 new client monthly membership because I honestly think it's a good deal vs other competitors! The biggest draw for me was that I can cancel and pause/freeze my membership at any time on the app without incurring any fees!! Also, there are no long term contracts!! Isn't that exciting? Once registered, clients have lifetime membership status and can reactivate the membership at any future date. Basically, your membership pays for your next service in advance as you get the credit for that service. I'm so glad they are next to Happy Lemon and Target because I frequent this area a lot-- making the location super convenient for me. Plus, parking is plenty too! The vibe is cute with all the drawings...it looks very aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. You can check-in as soon as you get there via the iPads and one of the ladies will come get you once they are ready. This being my first visit I think Hello Sugar was easy to book with! That's if you are a little tech savvy since everything is done on your phone these days. :) Ashley was my esthetician and she was very straightforward and to the point which I love. She made sure I was comfortable but also meant business. She knows what's she's doing! I recommend her and Bri every single time ! The service I received was an underarm and Brazilian wax and it went well! I was nervous since I know it can be painful as I've tried to wax my underarms myself, but Ashely made it fast and easy. I recommend you just go here :) It's so much nicer to pay for a service that will be done in a timely and reliable manner. !!ATTENTION!! They did move office spots. Is it the most glamorous studio? No. Is it consistent, affordable, and easy? Absolutely. Ashley is the shit. It feels like hanging out with a friend. She talks to you like a real person, rather than a client and makes the experience really comfortable. Not to mention, the least painful sugaring I've had in Denver. Review based on visit in 2023 - Incredible experience! This was my first time getting waxed, and I was pretty nervous going in, but my esthetician, Mia, was amazing and made me feel completely comfortable. She kept up a friendly conversation, talked me through the entire process, and explained the aftercare instructions so clearly. I highly recommend this salon, especially Mia--she's a true professional! The salon itself is easy to find with plenty of parking in a large lot, which made things stress-free. Inside, everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. Pricing was also clear and reasonably priced, especially given the high-quality service. Giving 3 stars solely based on customer service because I'm assuming the actual appointment would have gone fine had I gone to the correct location. I accidentally went to the wrong one and when I tried to speak to someone about it, it took 15 minutes of texting an automated response till finally asked if they could call me now and then proceeded to take 15 minutes to call me after that text then to top it off, the person who called me was from a call center. It baffles me that I have no way to contact or speak to someone at the location I had my appointment with and explain my situation and try to reschedule that way. Our books fill up quickly and we have 3 locations to service you 5 days each week 8a-8p and 12 esthis on staff between locations. We do offer monthly membership and auto draft your account monthly, just like a gym or carwash membership, when you join. And your appointment time is not 10 minutes after, check in is 5-15 minutes prior to your actual appointment time and we will not be able to see you if you're late because again, we are the best of the best and we are booked solid. They keep your credit card on file and charge you monthly without your consent. Keep an eye on your statements because I wouldn't be surprised if there are several people who have been getting charged even if they stopped going months ago. I had an appointment at 12 today during the snowstorm. I did not want to cancel and was 6 minutes late for my appointment due to the conditions. Briana couldn't have been ruder to me because of this. The first two appointments she was extremely talkative which I appreciate during the painful Brazilian. Today her entire demeanor was different and she barely spoke to me. It was actually quite terrifying in the midst of such an intimate procedure. All due to me being six minutes late during a blizzard. Luckily I am moving away from the area but I would never return after today. The cleanliness of the space is also questionable. If cheap and trashy is your vibe then go here. read more

This one is tough to write, but after my third appointment with this happening, I wanted to share in hopes that maybe things will change. My first visit with HelloSugar, I claimed the free bikini wax they offer on their website and upgraded to a sugar Brazilian. My skin reacts REALLY poorly to hot wax, so I was so excited to find a place that offered sugaring My wax technician was AMAZING. Totally put me at ease, was so kind, and hilarious. My wax was quick, and I got outta there with a smile on my face. I took a shower the next day and noticed that there were a TON of missed spots on both my underarms and lady bits. I shrugged it off, just assuming it was harder to sugar those areas Next appointment, I just booked my underarms, and had a new technician. She was extremely kind as well, but used hot wax instead of sugar. I didn't have the gumption to ask after the first few applications of hot wax, and figured it would be fine. Like clockwork, I broke out in a heat rash after and had horrible ingrown hairs. There were also a bunch of missed spots. Today, I booked with the original esthetician and made sure I confirmed it was sugaring. Again, same kindness and personable conversation, but again, a TON of missed spots. I just finished trying to tweeze all of the hairs that were missed, but if you've ever tried doing this yourself, you know how hard it is As much as I want to continue on, I'm going to find somewhere else. read more

HORRIBLE! I would put negative stars if possible. Do not schedule an appointment here. I scheduled a sugaring off of seeing an ad on instagram. I got there on the time I scheduled and because I wasn't 10 minutes early she wouldn't take me. I had gotten a babysitter and drove over 35 minutes to get there. Not to mention it is impossible to find because it's an individual suit in the very back with no signs. I think I can give the absolute most honest review here. I've been coming to them since August. I was an avid waxed and even did my own waxes at home (I'm a Jack of all trades lol). I decided I could allow myself one beauty splurge since I literally do all my own stuff minus my hair. I decided to start coming here for sugaring and I have not been disappointed once. I do the membership and I was fully aware that it includes a cc withdrawal monthly. That was blatantly explained to me while signing up. If anyone says they didn't know that's just not true. Also Hello Sugar is the most inexpensive in the Denver metro area for sugaring. Trust me I love to save a buck and I have checked. Now I have seen 3 different estheticians here. They have all been extremely friendly and personable. 2 have done an amazing and thorough. There is one that doesn't tweeze after, but she still does a good job. That's the only difference. I don't mind texting for my appointments and find it easier to not play phone tag. I always get a prompt response, am able to take care everything whenever I need to just by a simple text. Briana gives the best Brazilians! I've had a lot of different waxers and she takes the cake by far. She not only does a hell of a clean job (like literally bare), she also has never caused irritation and my skin is so happy afterwards. She also is so personable and I actually enjoy the pain of a Brazilian because I get to chat with her. Bonus- she keeps the room insanely clean and I super appreciate that. This place is ridiculous! I canceled my "Membership" that they failed to explain how it worked to me in April when they charged me $58 when I hadn't even had an appointment and I canceled the membership. I woke up this morning and was again charged $58!! They are a scam company and are lagging on fessing up to making a mistake and refunding me, again, another $58! I expressed in April to them to erase my contact information as I would NEVER be back and take me out of the system completely, this is after I had canceled my membership! On top of all that the sugaring gave me extremely bad ingrowns, I have been getting Brazilians every month for almost 20yrs and NEVER had a problem before. Was a truly horrific experience, not only was the aesthetician Emma Ishy incredibly rude, but her supervisor Erin only made matters worse. Emma publicly humiliated me, not allowing me into the room and forced me to stay in the busy hallway to discuss my appointment because I was late. The reason I was late? because hello sugar sent me the wrong door code to enter the building and I had to wait ten minutes for a response. I tried explaining to Emma that I commuted via public transportation for an hour in order to get to my appointment, only to be locked out and treated with the utmost disrespect. Costumer service has failed to take my call, and Emma's supervisor Erin puts the blame on me for being late while completely ignoring my complaint of her employee's behavior towards me, as well as ignoring the fact that I was sent the wrong code and the lack of response causing my lateness. Not to mention Emma refused to tell me her name, so that I could not complain. A different employee, who saw me crying in the hallway after my very unpleasant talk with Emma, was the who helped me and told me Emma's name. Was one of the worst interactions I've ever had, to be humiliated like that in front of strangers, to have an employee reduce me to tears which led to an anxiety attack in public, to be ignored by management, I can only assume they hate their costumers. I had to reschedule my appointment this morning to later in the day and before responding to me they immediately charged my card (which was saved without my consent from my first appointment). They only will respond to you via text and it takes them all day to respond back to you. They also seem to only have one aesthetician and she made the appointment uncomfortable towards the end when she was heavily pushing the companies products and to schedule another appointment with her. They also will cancel your appointment and charge you if you are 10 minutes late, and fail to provide accurate directions to their only location. There are way better places in Denver. They have stolen hundreds of dollars out from under me under the guise of a "monthly membership" that I never agreed to and did not sign a waiver for. They gave me the temporary opportunity to get part of my money back but quickly redacted that offer when I pushed back and said they should refund the full amount they had stolen from me. I though I'd give this place an another try after my first bad experience I've hade even though they corrected the bad experience. but to book an appointment is impossible with these guys!!! especially with my busy schedule, I don't have time for a back-and-forth chat through text message trying to confirm appointments and always getting a message stating the person I booked with isn't there or no longer there or whatever the issue is. I've been trying to book an appointment for about two weeks now and it's been such a hectic problem trying to nail down a simple time and date available for my schedule ! I was so excited to schedule an appointment here. And had the worst experience. Please please do not come here, they have zero costumer service or respect. I work night shift and had just woken up and gotten ready for my appt to realize my car was out of service..my appointment was starting in 15 minutes, and I was mindful of how many estheticians rely on commissions and need to keep to a schedule and did not want to put her out. So instead of canceling, I ordered an Uber and called to let them know I would be 5 minutes late. However, they go through a texting service, so I was unsure if my message had even gotten through to the esthetician performing my service. Anyways, I showed up at 3:06 exactly and was told I had to reschedule...I informed them that I had purchased an Uber for this, and she had absolutely nothing to offer me but to reschedule which I will definitely not be doing. I would think my respect for them and their time would be returned and with extenuating circumstances considered, but apparently not. read more
