There was one window that posed a potential problem because it was blocked by a built-in immobile desk with shutters. The solution was to install the detector on the shutters. I also requested a fob, something not usually offered. They thought it was unavailable with my system, They did the research to find that they are available and Anthony left the job to obtain it. When he returned, the two of them connected the fob to the system. Beyond that, Tristen was patient explaining how the system worked. One of my questions was not easily answered regarding how to access a chart I had earlier seen on the home page. Tristen spent time researching and finding the answer. Throughout the time Tristen and Anthony were here they worked quietly, conscientiously and with consideration. Update: Recent heavy snow damaged the sensor for the outside garage door. They will be returning to replace the sensor as well as adding a panic alarm function to the fobs. I've also requested outside signs to let people know about the presence of the burglar alarm. He mentioned he charged by the hour and said the project should take no more than 3 hours. I agreed to the timeline and mentioned that was ALL I was willing to pay. A couple of days later an electrician showed up at my house to add an outlet. By the time he was through the electrician charged me for the entire 3 hours and said he was not the one to move the tv mount. I reached out to Brad and told him the project was not completed and that I would not be spending any more to get it done. To his credit he had his installer, Alberto, come out a few days later and finish the job. My hats off to Alberto as he did a great job relocating the mount and hiding the wires. I hope he got paid as I did not spend any more then what I had agreed to. That said what should have taken 2-3 hrs to complete took over a week.

My wife found three local companies through Yelp and reached out to them to inquire about cost and estimated time frame for completing the work. Damon was quick to respond to the inquiry through Yelp over the weekend and stated the project sounded like it would fall under their minimum service fee of $173.25. He provided us with the office number in the event that we wanted to go ahead and schedule. My wife called the office on Monday morning and they agreed on a time that afternoon where Damon could come by and look at the project since he was already in our area. Damon was on time and walked through the project with me. We agreed the work could be done the following afternoon. On Tuesday afternoon Damon came by and within 45 minutes or so had everything working properly. He was friendly and efficient. We didn't initially want to spend the money to hire an electrician but figured that in the grand scheme of things the money was well spent because we know it was done correctly, for less than $200.00. We really appreciate the quick response and are very happy that our exterior lights are now set up. The other two companies did respond to our initial response but were unable to conduct the work within our time frame. We will definitely call KD Electric if we have further needs and will refer them to friends in the area!
