Theodore, my hamster, is planning a big trip and Caitlyn was able to answer all my questions about how to keep him safe to explore the world. She was able to identify how I could keep him fed by suggesting an addition hamster to supply food for him. She was amazing to talk to and was a very kind and nice young lady. 6/23/2035 -Review. First time at Helping Hands Veterinary Clinic location. Let me start off by saying "Super friendly staff", very polite, helpful and understanding. There is easy in/out of the parking lot. It's cool - Right on the order (at the light) easy to find. The Staff was amazing very knowledgeable and helpful. The vet doctor was amazing. Great wealth of knowledge for me. Very grateful to have had this opportunity to talk with her and the staff. My dog Sasha on the other hand was very anxious, nervous and had her own agenda. We need to work on this. I was given Great advice and care. The staff also gave me handouts for Sasha and things to work on at home to help her stress. First times for a puppy can be difficult the staff overlooked this behavior and I highly recommend them and I will go over all the information given and stay having "Happy Visits" so Sasha will become accustomed being around other dogs and clinics. I look forward to visiting and taking Sasha here for years to come. Yeah she is up to date on all her vaccines. Now to get through fireworks. The clinic gave me great advice. I have started now lol. I came in on their Saturday (?) walk in for my cat to get a check up. We waited in the car for approx. 45min for our slot (happy to wait!) We waited in our room for around 45-55 minutes, which started to make me feel a little weird so I went out and asked to make sure someone was going to be with us. I felt so uncomfortable to do so but without any interaction for that long made me feel forgotten. I was reassured and met shortly after with our veterinarian. I had a great chat and experience furthermore. The techs that administered the vaccinations did make slight comments to our cat about their "patience" which felt pretty uncomfortable since it felt like a dig at me. But who's to really say it was meant in that way. All in all a great ability to walk in and get seen by a caring staff! read more

I recently taken in my furbaby to get an ultrasound of his heart. After the 4th day I had to call and request an update of the result of his ultrasound. Long story short, I was given the run around and never received a call from the Vet. Just an email I'm supposed to read that they forwarded to me by the people who did his ultrasound. I've never been to a Vet clinic that just emailed the result and NOT call to explain or ask if the owner/client has any questions or concerns. I get the feeling these Vet's are more about how fast we can get this person and their loved one out and their money! read more

As a full time RVer it's hard sometimes to find a good vet on the fly while traveling. Both my pups had issues, one with her ears, the other with his tummy. We showed up bright and early at their walk-in clinic Saturday morning and the staff was wonderful and caring, super gentle and treated both pups, we got medicine and a follow up appointment, both pups were very comfortable with the techs and the vet. And their prices are more than fair. This is definitely a place I'm keeping in my contact list. 10 stars read more

Poor senior dog care! I am sad to update my prior review of 5 stars a few years ago. So unhappy with this clinic, and yes, even Dr. Guidry. The clinic seems to have deteriorated since the onset of the pandemic. Our dog senior dog was injured with the last blood draw there - hurt her neck badly that took a few days to recover. She has been terrified when we go there for the past few years - and probably worse now. I do not think they know how to handle very senior small dogs. Now the clinic / Dr Guidry is refusing to renew her meds unless there's another blood draw - but stopping her medications would kill her. How compassionate is that? read more

Made a separate appointment to have one of my dogs nails trimmed after he was able to be sedated due to the first attempt at nail trims failed. I made the separate appointment a couple weeks later and gave him the proper sedation before the appointment but when they took him back to do his names not sure all what happened but I could hear my dog struggling / whimpering as they attempted to clip his nails. They then brought him back to me and said it didn't work the second time and were very condescending and rude to me about his behavior. He chocked and gasped all the way home like they had straggled him to keep him quiet. He was having issues breathing all night and seemed to even struggle to drink water. Sadly to say he is no longer with me. Not sure what they did to him but it must have caused some damage to his throat caused he couldn't stop coughing all night. Never had issues with his nails being done before nor did we ever need sedation. Will never return to this place and don't recommend it either. Horrid experience. read more

Words cannot fully express the anger, stress and inconvenience Helping Hands Vet caused me and my family!!! At the beginning of August (a month in advance), I booked a reservation for TWO of my pugs to be boarded at Helping Hands Vet from Sat., August 31-Mon., September 2 (Labor Day). The person I booked the reservation with on the phone sounded extremely scattered, so I called back to confirm the reservation. SEE ATTACHED SCREENSHOT: On August 13, Jessica left a voicemail and confirmed the boarding reservation for Sat., Aug. 31-Mon., Sept. 2. SEE ATTACHED SCREENSHOTS: On August 28, I receive emails asking me to confirm the boarding reservations. I confirm. SEE ATTACHED SCREENSHOT: Less than 24 hours before the scheduled boarding reservation on August 30 at 10:00am, LACEY left me a voicemail saying that Helping Hands is not open on Monday and that I have to pick up the pugs on Tuesday instead, paying for an extra night for BOTH pugs for a mistake their clinic made. I called back and said, "Look Lacey, 3 THINGS: 1) Why am I hearing about this LESS THAN 24 HOURS PRIOR TO THE RESERVATION YOUR OFFICE CONFIRMED 3 TIMES?!?!? 2) I AM NOT paying for an extra night of boarding due to your disorganized, thoughtless mistake!!! 3) I WILL NOT miss work at the last minute to work around an error that YOUR OFFICE CAUSED AT THE LAST MINUTE!!! 4) WHO IS GOING TO CARE FOR TWO OF MY BABIES WHILE I LEAVE THE COUNTRY?!?!?!? I AM LIVID. Not only did I have to waste time calling Lacey back on my precious lunch time, I had NO time to call another boarder and they were probably all booked up anyway!!! Lacey behaved extremely rudely. She cut me off while I was talking and gave excuses as to why she was calling at the last minute. First, she irrelevantly claimed that Jessica was fired. That was not my question. I asked why LACEY CALLED ME AT THE LAST MINUTE to tell me the clinic was closed on Monday. Lacey then irrelevantly referred to a completely separate booking I scheduled for October, saying that I called too far in advance so they didn't have their schedule. I immediately called her out on her bs and told her that booking is completely separate from this one and has nothing to do with the current situation she caused. I called a month in advance of this August booking, they would have definitely known their schedule! Even if they didn't, I should have heard about this more than LESS THAN 24 HOURS BEFORE THE RESERVATION. I asked to speak to Lacey's manager and was promised the MANAGER would be calling me in 5 minutes. Lacey couldn't think of anything else to say, so she hung up on me after I confronted her about her own lies. I was shocked that Lacey had the nerve to tell me, "I didn't want to hear" her so-called "solution." Seriously?!?! My phone rings again, but is NOT THE MANAGER who calls me back. A woman comes on the phone and says she "is trying to take some of the workload off" for the manager. I repeated that I wanted to speak with the MANAGER, and not her. She was so offended that I wanted to talk to the manager, she also hung up on me after making a nasty comment to me. I told her, "That is incredibly rude" and terminated the conversation. Finally, the manager calls me back. She didn't seem to care at all about how upsetting this experience was for me and my pugs. When I asked her what she was going to do to make this right, she said she would give us a "discount" on boarding the next time. I don't want a discount!!! Why would I trust these people with my precious babies when they can't even follow through with their responsibilities of a simple booking reservation?!? Why would I book with Helping Helping Hands when I was talked to in such a disrespectful, unprofessional and inappropriate manner?!?!?! I cannot believe I previously left my dogs with such unprofessional, disrespectful people. Prior to this mess, I spent $400 on boarding at Helping Hands only to be treated with such unhinged disrespect and sheer unprofessionalism by Lacey, her co-worker and the rest of Helping Hands Vet!!!! I have not been happy with this vet for awhile. The latest issues with this past visit: Scheduled a month out for a test, day before his test appointment I get a call we have to reschedule because they don't have the medication for the test. Why didn't they check to make sure they had it before I made the original appointment? Or order it when I made the original appointment? So they rescheduled me for a week from then, so now I know it only takes a week for them to get the med....:so they had the time to order and receive it when I made my original appointment. They told me when I rescheduled that I can come in at 9:30 am, they had me select the time. Day before the appointment I get an email confirmation for a drop off between 7am-8:30 am......ummm I was told 9:30 am. Called and thankfully they fixed it but I had to deal with all that while at work. Then I drop off my dog and they said the test takes time so I can pick him up at 5:30 pm. They call me at 11:30 am to pick him up. Wow! The test took less than 2 hrs? I live up north, if I had been told that I would have stayed in the area, but again J was given the wrong information. Now I go to pick him up and they said the payment they took from me they had to void because they forgot to add something to it, so they had to run my card again. So my card has now been ran for $300 twice (why couldn't they just make a new payment adding whatever they missed?) and we'll the original payment was never actually voided so now I'm having to call them to make sure they fix that mistake. I also got called by the doctor saying she is worried about the lump on my dogs leg and asked if I ever had it checked out. I said YES, with you guys last year....... She didn't even do a search before calling me to know that her clinic already looked into this. After i told her around the time this occurred she found the note and started saying how "this lump could be something, but do to where it is it might not be, we might want to get it removed" I asked how my doggos labs would effect that plan with anesthesia since he has poor liver labs.... Sounded like she forgot about that cause she seemed to backtrack. To this time I still don't know her actual recommendation on whether to have this lump removed or not. Im definitely going to be going somewhere else to ask about it though. Also!!!! I am STILL waiting on my dogs lab reports and test outcomes. After his well check I never got a call from the doctor telling me what they thought or anything with the test. I called yesterday and the front desk women said they'd call me later that day to give me the information.......they never did. If it was one issue I could forgive it but A LOT went wrong with this appointment and I am over it. read more

My boyfriend and I take our three pets here for their medical needs. I'm usually satisfied with the company, no complaints but on 5/14/21 my boyfriend took our cat to his appointment that we had scheduled because he needed some vaccines. Our cat had previously been to the facility a few months ago for a checkup and needed to get these vaccines by mid- May, once he received the email reminder we scheduled the appointment. $62 dollars later turns out, he didn't need any vaccines at all, so we feel as if we just wasted money to have the Vet look our cat over and say he is healthy. Yes, $62 isn't a lot but we put off getting a fecal exam for our dog ( so he could occasionally attend daycare), because we were expecting to have to pay close to $200 for vaccines. I wish they would have been honest and said, "hey turns out he doesn't need the vaccines, but if you still want him to be seen bring him by." My boyfriend said they reached out to his former vet in another state, but I provided copies of all of his treatment during his very first appointment, so it should have been known what was needed. We will still continue to use this vet, but next time I'll check to make sure we aren't going to waste money. read more

We had been going to this clinic for awhile but lost confidence in the care we were being given for our dog. The staff was always friendly and helpful with our dog, who isn't fond of going to the vet and is a handful at times (she can get aggressive when strangers approach her and want to open her mouth or look in her ears). I think we lost confidence here when we took our dog in because she couldn't put weight on her back leg and was chewing her skin raw and the only thing the vet did was prescribe some pills for her. I wanted more direct action, such as getting X-rays and blood work (which our dog would have needed to been sedated for). This isn't a bad clinic at all, the staff really is nice. I just wanted more help dog (I might be over protective of her but she's the best pup ever!) read more

I have to give 1 star? Ugh, not even that is deserved. HORRIBLE office staff. All front office has to say is, "I don't know what goes on back there". NO follow thru from Dr. No care whatsoever. Aubrey...the WORST ever. It's a joke and a shame that she's called an office manager. She offers nothing. I'll also add they charge for services that didn't actually do, still waiting now for 3 days for a consult from my Dr. Guidry (and paid $135 already). Nearly $600 later for yearly visits (and all that's included, which I gladly paid). They have not fulfilled their responsibilities. After several days waiting and calling with no responses STILL to this moment from my doctor, I went in. AUBREY did not want to do her job. Communication, information, and humanity was clearly too difficult for her. I'm so sorry those words are so abusive to you, Aubrey. I understand how asking for that was tooooo much for you and had no way else to deal but call cops instead of communicating and being human. My dog's always had ongoing GI issues and frequently vomits every single early morning. I have always felt very confident with the vet's ability to help troubleshoot his issues. We started off with meds, and have moved onto the more specific testing today since he's gone back to deteriorating. They were able to get me an appointment the day I called. It was not expected of them, but I really am grateful for everything today. It is difficult with his pickiness and sensitivity. He refuses food to the point of throwing up, and I have to force feed him just to stop him from vomiting on an empty stomach. Luckily, his X-ray came back clear today, and there was nothing worrisome about his digestive tract. So no blockages. This took a huge weight off my shoulders. I am now working on fully making sure he has a well rounded, lean diet and eats well. It's all I can do for him at this point. I can't be more thankful for Helping Hands to help us along with his journey to recovery. They were fully transparent with me about everything, and I completely understand if his condition boils down to the two we suspect, it's not treatable but manageable. I completely understand as it also aligns with my research as well of what I suspected with his problems, too. Thanks to the entire team for being so patient and forgiving with us. Called today (Monday, December 14th) at 10:10am to schedule a nail clip for my dog. Was told by receptionist at Helping Hands Veterinary Clinic they were not doing nail clippings because the State of Washington considers that to be a non-essential service. What happened? We received a nail clipping six weeks ago. I called two other mainstream veterinarians in King and Snohomish counties and they had not heard about any type of moratorium or ruling that classified animal nail clippings as non-essential. Kind of butthurt, and here's why - I took my puppy here for his shots and things while very young. During the pandemic, so I really never got to know these people. Once there was a mixup, where I was not informed he had to have another shot within a time frame and was told now I have to have the whole round again, so I did it and paid for it. Another time we took him in and they made us feel stupid for bringing him in for "puppy diarrhea." (that had gone on for more than 48 hours). Fast forward to yesterday, my pup had been very sick over the weekend and I was very concerned about him. I called in first thing Monday and explained. I had an appointment scheduled for today and asked if I could get in asap considering his condition. I was told they were completely booked and to call other clinics in the area, which I did. I felt like they basically told me to pound rocks. Considering my dog's condition, I feel like they should have been able to at least squeeze him in or reschedule another routine appointment. I basically felt like they are too busy to care about the pets or customers here. Maybe they do care, but they sure haven't made me feel like they did. And my pet almost died because of it. I had to spend another 3-4 hours trying to get him an appointment everywhere I could. I came across a wonderful clinic that only had a 3 pm appointment but called FOR ME and got me in at 11 am at another clinic. Not only did this clinic care, she followed up with us to make sure our dog was all right. I haven't heard a peep from "helping hands." Unfortunately, he was not. He had an obstruction and required emergency surgery. And guess what, there were no hospitals within the metro area that would take him. Except one, a clinic in shoreline that would need to "fly in a surgical team" for the fee of 8-10k. I called back helping hands, and they seemed like they could care less about my puppy, and just wanted off the phone. They did say they could ask the vets if I called back again. I asked if there were anyone they knew and they gave me another number. I called and it was a total waste of time after being on hold for 20 minutes they stated they do not do any sort of internal surgeries. By this time, I had wasted half of a day. The vet who was able to see him for the X-rays could not do the surgery until the next morning. But she recommends I do whatever it takes to get the obstruction out asap. By some miracle, a clinic that I called in Kirkland gave me the information of a pet ER in Mt. Vernon, an hour and a half away. Long story short, the clinic in Mt. Vernon was able to do the surgery for half the price. It went well and he is recovering. Needless to say, I won't ever be returning to helping hands of Lynnwood. I felt more compassion and assistance from the other clinics that I called than I did from my own vet. It seems like many businesses in this area don't really care about their customers just because there are so many people and you are just another cog in their machine. When they did appear "helpful" it felt forced and contrived. Now just hoping my pup is Ok. read more

We've been taking our dog to helping hands since 2010. Throughout the years, a lot of the vets came and went at this place, although not ideal, we still stuck with them. Today we decided enough is enough, we totally understand businesses have to adapt to survive in Covid time, but this clinic decided the way to do it is to do the least amount of work in order to grab the most amount of money. They told me they want to avoid unnecessary contacts, which is understandable, but when it came to an easy solution for adding medication which we discussed with the vet just a week ago, and our dog saw the vet a month ago with this problem, they want additional money before they would do it. Our 16 year old golden recently had UTI and seizure problems. The front desk clerk, Melanie has been short, inpatient, and untruthful. I've asked her to quote on the price of the antibiotic medicine for UTI, she sighted and told me it would be around 30 dollars. When we finally picked up the pills, it was close to 120 dollars, and told me wrong info about the medicine. I don't think this is a honest way to do anything, but what can I do, I want the medicine for my elderly dog ASAP. Also, they are so slow and have no urgency about getting our pet''s medicine filled. They called for the urine test result around noon, and told me it would be tomorrow before I get the medicine. They don't care that your pet's suffering. The actual vet is alright, I like her, but you won't have a chance to talk to her before you have to deal with Melanie many many times, at the point, you would be ready to find another vet. read more

I went to the walk-in 15 minutes before they opened with the ninth person in line and after 2 1/2 hours had to leave. I cannot believe the negative reviews on here... and they're all silly stuff like "too expensive??" What do you expect for a vet to charge?? Taking care of your animals isn't as cheap as going to a human doctor unless you have insurance for them. I've always had a great experience and felt confident on the doctors to treat my GSD. When I take her in for routine shots, the receptionists have been very kind enough to send me a courtesy email of her records so I would have them. Also, dogs as well as any creature will/can react to a vaccine... I don't know why it's such a surprise to some people! read more

I had a great experience here. My dogs went to different vet in Seattle most of their lives even we moved to Lynnwood. Today we had a bit of the emergency. My dog ripped his nail entirely out of his toe and bled. We went there, walk-in (normally Saturday only), and got helped. Doctor also noticed something on his eye and took care of that. Everyone there was super friendly even clients. We scheduled a follow up in 2 weeks. We went home with 2 meds and 1 eye drop for approximately 200, pretty reasonable. I've been to this Veterinary clinic a few times due to their amazingly low prices on X-ray and exam fees. The Saturday walk-in clinic always has a long wait time (we had to wait once for 4 hours), but my main complaint and reason for the 2 stars is that their customer service is awful. I brought my 3 pups in a few Saturdays ago to get an exam and deworming although already having their "8 week" vaccination and check up appointment scheduled for a few weeks out. Fast forward to the date of our 8 week checkup. I show up 45 minutes early, tried to call a few times to let them know I was in the parking lot without any success. I finally get through 15 mins to the start of the appointment for them to tell me I wasn't on their schedule- even after having received emails and texts asking me to confirm (see attached text I just got a few minutes ago). The receptionist Lacey, said she would ask the tech to see what they could do. Got a phone call a little bit later to say that we had to reschedule our appointment and that we couldn't get the vaccinations anyways because the pups were 2 days shy of 8 weeks old- oh and they only had 1 DNA kit anyways so I wouldn't have be able to get both tested! I mentioned to Lacey that I had to not only take time off of work and drive from Everett but have to now tell the pups new parents that they can't pick up their pups over the weekend because they didn't get their shots and she got rude with me and told me well they didn't have time to take us in and that there was nothing they could do but for me to come in on Saturday during walk-in hours and wait to be seen. Absolutely Absurd! I scheduled an appointment and confirmed that we would be coming just to waste my time? Well, if you don't mind having crappy customer service but great priced exams/vaccinations, etc. (which is why they got the 2 stars) then come see Helping Hands Vet clinic in Lynwood! read more

So, after charging me $500. for a health certificate yesterday, I complained and they refunded it today and charged me, instead, $69. for the exam with a health certificate. That's okay. Be sure to ask how much they charge for any service beforehand. They were unclear on why they refunded it and then charged me so much less. Be careful. read more

Incredible experience overall. Dr. Guidry is kind, friendly, clearly loves animals, and is an excellent vet! Brought my sweet pooch in who'd received inadequate care from another local clinic, so my guard was high, but Dr. Guidry swiftly put my dog and I at ease. Staff was friendly, prompt, and somehow they charge less than other inferior clinics. I can't recommend this clinic highly enough. read more
