Be mindful shopping at Helzberg at Rosemont. Last Labor Day 2025 around my birthday I went to settle with Helzberg on a bracelet repair/replacement. I picked a natural 2caret diamond bracelet that was on sale. I placed the balance of the unrepairable bracelet towards the 2caret 10k gold natural bracelet which I placed in layaway. Every time I made a payment there was a distraction and confusion at the register. When I picked my bracelet up I was given a 1 caret natural 10k gold diamond bracelet instead of 2carets. I didn't have my original receipt so I didn't say anything without proof. I later called Corporate to express my concerns and Corporate reached out to the store at Fashion Outlet Way and the sales representative lied about my purchase. Recently there is a sale for the sale 2caret natural 10k gold diamond bracelet almost at the exact same price plus $100 inflation from this year. And on another note I had purchased a 14k gold chain with a natural pearl and when I went to pick it up the chain was broken and they tried to give me a gold chain of lesser style. I spoke to Corporate to inform them that if their sales representatives are stealing from their customers then the representative are possibly selling from them. Now ironically the same 2caret natural gold diamond bracelet is on sale at or extremely close to the same price this Mother's Day. I did had better hopes as in terms of customer service with the reviews. So for an online pick-up order that was ready before its expected date, I was impressed and excited to be able to just pick up my item. I came in and saw two associates. It was unclear if they were servicing the 2 other possible customers or doing tasks. I was not acknowledge so tried to inform one of the associates I was there for a pick-up order. I had a customer inform me prior to the worker " They'll be with you in a bit". The worker then rudely without looking at me stated " We're busy, you have to wait." Went back to the customer and serviced him with a smile and apologies for the interruption. So I looked around as I waited as I had wanted to possibly buy another item since I was there. The worker never introduced herself but just called over and asked if I had my ID and email for the pick-up order. At this point with those brief interactions I no longer wanted anything else from this store. Brief pick-up process, check ID, checked email, confirmed right item. I did not even bother to inspect my item until I was home. I truly understand customer service can be hard after a long day. I also would have valued an acknowledgment, an introduction of their name as they had done to the other customer, and or even a good bye after our interaction. All of which I had initiated and was seen done to the other customers. At least for me it was clear that the in store experience will vastly differ from your pick-up experience. So come in with a great deal of patience, or choose another location for those needs. Standard notes and positives, store was clean, well light, and had varied selection of products to choose from. Is a corner location within the mall so easy to spot from the walkways. Workers attire was neat and appropriate for the work setting. My husband and I were shopping around Rosemont outlets last week and we decided to hop into Helzberg to look at wedding bands (after 1 year of marriage we only had an engagement ring). So we walked into the store and Sabina greeted us and asked what we were looking for. We told her wedding bands and preferably double bands to hug my engagement ring. Sabina let me try on multiple bands and was very patient with letting us decide. She knew exactly what I was envisioning somehow and we ended up finding the most perfect bands. We also got a deal that day and had my engagement ring re-plated so that it would look brand new again. We let her know that we were moving in 1 week and needed the rings fitted and plated before then. She ensured that it would be no problem and the rings would be done by Tuesday 4/27. The rings ended up being done way before that on 4/25. We picked it up ASAP and the fit and look of the entire ring set was MAGICAL. We are so in love with it. This Helzberg has restored my faith. I am beyond happy with their graceful and quick service! I worked with Mariam and another petite, light haired, older lady (NOT the one with glasses). I had bought my ring from a Helzberg in Atlanta, GA with the lifetime warranty and needed it resized. I bought is in a size 7 and the other places said I should be a 5.5, they "fixed" my ring and it was horrendous (see my review for Helzberg in Norridge for more details on that). I had gone to two other Helzberg locations before this one and was ready to return this ring due to the amount of horrible service and people at other locations. But this location, had me in, spent the perfect amount of time with me, sized me perfectly to a size 6.25 and had my ring ready in an hour and a half with no problems at all. I doubt I'll ever visit any of the other Helzberg locations ever aging for anything, but this store really restored my faith in Helzberg. Due to all the running around before I came to this particular location, I don't think I'll ever be back to purchase anything from any Helzberg ever agin, but if I ever had no choice and needed to go to a Helzberg, this would be the location I go to! read more

I took in my nice watch to get a battery because it stopped. The old lady at HELZBERG DIAMONDS (old grouch) told me that they had to send it to get checked out because they couldn't do fancy watches there. I get a call 2 weeks from this old lady telling me that the mechanics needed to get cleaned, gasket replaced & a new battery. She then told me that it would be $680. I told her to get my watch back in the store asap. I then went to the watch Clinic on 21 n Wabash and it got fixed for 22 bucks! People don't be fooled by these imbeciles. They were charging me 680 for a 22 dollar job. I also posted a picture of my receipt. The guys name is Jesus and he told me that my gaskets and mechanics were beyond superb. I took my watch(Nixon, The unit SS) value approximate $200, to get the battery replaced for the first time. Cost for the battery replacement ($10.91). About 3 months after the repair (100 meter rated watch) and a day of 3 foot Wisconsin Dell's water fun with my gf's 6 year old, I noticed my watch started to dim and flicker. I take the watch off and to my amazement the back of the watch was loose. So I use my thumb and it spins. Now if you know anything about watch backs you would know this is a big no no. For the back of this watch to come off, you would need a tool, not a simple twist with the pressure of my thumb. So as I spin the back of my watch, the back pops off and so do several pieces. PIECES? Yes, pieces. The watch battery clip was broken, as well as a broken wire. So, at this point, the only thing that makes sense was when I got my watch battery replaced. Why else would these PIECES be broken? No worries, it's reputable business right? Helzberg diamonds, they stand by their work, right? Nope. After my watch was sent in to see if they can "fix" it, 2-3 weeks later a gentleman by the name of Samual told me " the damage was done after the battery was replaced"... really? "So unfortunately we can't help you" in order for your watch to be fixed it would cost (I think he said $230)" definitely over $200. Keep in mind my watch is only worth $200. Now if this was just any watch I wouldn't care, but this watch was a present. I liked this watch. It was special. I own many watches, watches worth well over the value of this watch. But what really gets me, is that a reputable company like Helzberg diamonds won't replace my watch. It was the unskilled hands of the repair lady(Nadia L) that didn't know how to fix my watch and the obvious fumble of this company to not inform me(before they "fixed" it )that if they were to fix it, my DIVE watch would not be guaranteed for future water use. With this kind of customer service, what would you trust in their hands? Edit: as of 7-24-14. I was contracted by management, and they agreed to replace the value of my watch for replacement. In the end I am happy with the resolution, however the time frame and the way it was done was little to be happy with. I bought my wife a birthstone ring as an anniversary gift. The staff was very helpful in helping us pick out the right one that would fit our budget. Because my wife has small hands, the ring needed to be resized. Within a month, the soldering on the underside of the ring cracked and the ring was no longer wearable. We took it back to the store expecting to have to argue and plead with the jeweler to fix it for a cheap price. We were pleasantly surprised to have the ring immediately scheduled to be repaired for no cost. The saleswoman profusely apologized for the inconvenience. I understand that sometimes things break or go wrong, but it is how a company deals with those issues that determine whether or not I will be a repeat customer. I'd give them no stars at all if it was possible. Are they Jewelers or Debt Collectors? As you all can see, I don't ever write reviews, but these people have struck a cord with me. My mom and I were shopping at Rosemont the day after my birthday. My mom loves jewelry so we stopped by the Helzberg Diamonds store there to have a look-see, right away this guy comes and asked if we needed help, we said no, we're just looking. He lingers. Talked us into buying a ring. We were happy with the purchase, we left. 4 days later, MY DIAMOND FELL OFF! So I drive back to have them put one back in. Loose settings, accident happens, no biggie right? Cool. But what drove me to write this is the call I just received from an agent of theirs. Asking (more of demanding) that I make a payment now. I told her no, as I wont be paid til Friday, so I'd pay then. She wouldn't take no for an answer (3 times) and said that I could authorize NOW and they'll take it out Friday. ??????????????????? Are you kidding me? It's just the 2nd of December, the bill isn't due until the 7th. After saying no so many times, and she kept insisting, I caved and gave her my checks routing. She then said I had 6 months to pay or the interest would start. After I hung up, I felt so bad, like what just happened? Maybe I'm being overly sensitive, but this lady has no tact and their way of "asking" was more than of a demand. Reading around consumer reports and reviews, people are really pissed with their quality of goods. People have gotten their rings appraised by 3rd party for insurance purposes and it seems like all those reviews (yes different sites), people said their rings didn't cost what they paid for. Does any one else have a similar situation? I hope this would sway you if you plan on making a purchase through this company.
