I came here to get a second opinion from Dr. Newbold for Gum surgery. Dr. Newbold saw me and…read moreevaluated my gums and said the surgery was not necessary. He recommended a follow up visit to see if my gum recession gets worse which I scheduled. I asked him for a quote for the surgery incase its needed so I can budget and save. Gum surgery could cost anywhere between 1k-5k. Dr.Newbold approved getting me a quote at the front desk. I was in a hurry so I told the front desk I'll email them the surgery quotes and in person they approved sending me the quote for the surgery. I emailed them multiple times afterwards and they refused to send me the quote the doctor approved. They kept telling me to call them but even in one instance when I called they refused to give me the quote over the phone. I emailed them to cancel my follow up visit. After I cancelled they suddenly billed me $130 dollars. When I called them before hand and saw them in person they also told me insurance covered my visit. Their team did not actually check if my visit was covered the two times I asked. Dr. Newbold himself is fine to see as a dentist, but the people working the front desk are abysmal and deceitful. Doesn't really make sense for me to pay $130 after they refused to give me quotes for the surgery, which is why I made the appointment in the first place.

I was not crazy about this session. I don't think I'll be back for a cleaning. I think I'll look for someone else that does cleanings. Then since my gums were fine, I was almost talked into a procedure costing over $15,000 plus. I agreed and gave a deposit of over $6,000. After getting home, I decided not to have procedure at my age for 3 back teeth implants. This was relayed to office, and they tried their hardest to change my mind. After a month, I asked where's my refund. I got "we'll, biller is not in until Wednesday" they will call you. No call. I went in for follow up of deep cleaning and Dr. Kayali explained how is money is tied up and that he didn't have the money and he would make 3 monthly payments to me. Each month, I had to remind them. I received 2 payments of $2,242.50 and 3rd payment of $2,242.00. He shorted me Fifty cents. I questioned it and supposedly they send me a check for .50. I received a empty envelope. Now if I drive 90 minutes to their office, he'll have my balance. ?? It would cost me close to $8.00 to do that. Bottom line, they have cheated me out money. How many others have they done this to? The 50 cents is not going to make me go broke, possibly him but it's the point. They want their $$ upfront, if you use credit card there is a percentage fee. What is this world coming to?? Keep your money, go else where in my opinion. He is a very nice dentist but not in the way he handles his business.

I had a very frustrating experience with this dental office. The day before my scheduled…read moreappointment, they called to confirm my appointment. I confirmed I would be there, but I just needed to confirm that my new PPO dental insurance would cover the appointment. Office staff looked into it and stated I would have to pay out-of-pocket for the appointment and then submit a claim to my insurance company myself, which may or may not result in partial reimbursement. Given that information, I let them know that I would need to find another provider that accepts my insurance and that I would not be able to make the appointment. To my surprise, I was told I would still be charged for a "missed" appointment--even though I canceled for a very valid reason the day before the appointment. I explained this wasn't a no-show, but a cancellation due to their office not accepting my insurance, which was confirmed just the day before. Unfortunately, they would not make an exception. One week later I received a bill for $75. I called the office to again make the point that I was not a no-show, as I let them know the day before. I spoke with the office manager who confirmed that if I had come to the appointment and the insurance issue was discussed in-office and I did not stay for the appointment, that I would have not been charged. Even though none of the circumstances would have been different. It did not make any sense to me and proved how poor the customer service is at this office. She also insisted I was aware of the limitations of my new insurance as it was shared with me 6 months ago per a note in their system. What happened 6 months prior was - I provided an electronic benefits card. Details of what that meant were not discussed with me whether the note indicates that or not. Rather than being reasonable and indicating any understanding surrounding this issue, the office staff went round and round and round with me about their 48-hour cancellation policy. This appointment was a follow-up to a procedure I had done in January, which was only partially successful. The recovery was uncomfortable and despite having the in-network insurance at that time, I still incurred significant out-of-pocket costs. Since the procedure was not successful, I will need to go through the entire process again with a new provider which will require more time in appointments and recovery as well as financial expenses. Poor communication, inflexible policies, and lack of patient consideration have left me extremely dissatisfied. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this practice.

Don't go here!!! I was referred here from my dentist . My dentist called and made the appointment…read more The dentist said they were in network for my insurance Met Life. When i arrived, i was NOT told that they were not in Met Life Network. I observed the front office supervisor call in patients before they saw the doctor. She did not do this for me. So i assumed that they were in network and that everything was ok. After i saw the Dr, i was then sat down and was told that they are not in MetLife network. And if i wanted to proceed with the service then it would be out of pocket. So Tell me, why would i have insurance and not go to a place that did not accept my insurance. I then told her that i would not like to go further with the process and would contact my Dentist. When i contacted my Dentist the young lady there states they showed they were in network and that is why they referred me there. If they had changed from being in Network, then they did not update there records. The office manager at this particular dentist which i am writing this review (who by the way is no longer employed by this dentist, Umm i wonder why?) stated she would talk to the Dr about this matter. I said ok and to call me if there is a problem. 5 months later i get a collection notice for the service rendered. I then called and spoke to a Isabel and a new office manager Judith and they both tell me that it was unusual that i didn't get talked to before i saw the Dentist so that i could make the decision to see the dentist who was out of network. I was not given that opportunity. My Denist called and spoke to Judith and wanted to speak to the Dr there but was unable to. Id have to say while i was there the same thing was happening to a young Mexican mother who was being told that her insurance didn't cover the services rendered and that they will have to pay out of pocket. This is so totally wrong, its like a bait and switch. After the back and forth and Edith talking to the Dentist i still had to pay for the services rendered although It was just a consultaion, no real work done. Even though the right protocol wasn't observed, where i was given the opportunity to decline services as my insurance was not in network, and the dr was advised of this, i still had to pay. My lesson is now to always ask, before services, even if the company doesn't do their due diligence , ARE YOU IN NETWORK? Karma will get them.
