Terrific service. Got the royal treatment as we gotten luckily a reserved table, I guess, we got lucky with timing, maybe someone cancelled. We had the best view! Amazing space, vibes, gourmet food and fantastic service from Savon, sorry if I misspelled her name. She was terrific, born and raised here and Miama and an eclectic background just like this restaurant. Bohemian couture, a modern blend of nature of sea, sand, wind, and a beautiful breeze along with earthy architecture. Whoever designed the place had an eye for art and architecture! Stupendous. Food was amazing as our sever guided us toward our palates.

We watched the sunset for dinner at this lovely spot on the water near downtown. I ordered the skirt steak and veggies which was fabulous! Our server was great! Very attentive and helpful. Great spot for dinner one night. Cozumel sunsets are the best! And there are two levels as well as different styles of seating. Loved that. Whether you are there for just dinner, cocktails or both, you'll love the vibe!

Would barely communicate with our server and we speak Spanish. Not many authentic food options. Only food for a sunset picture.

Date night done right! The ambiance of sitting on the water, eating a grilled octopus and having delicious drinks. Wonderful! We shared five drinks, a seared appetizer, had the grilled octopus and my girlfriend had the Mahi Mahi-- all for $98. Couldn't have asked for a better night!

Come back after two years, it's as lovely as i remember. We walk in here around noon, the upstairs is full while downstairs is empty, we end up sit at downstairs beside the ocean, view is great! Food is great too! Service is very attentive. Will come back in March!

This is a great spot near the Northern Hotel Zone. It is definitely off of the beaten path, and that is what I liked about it! There were lots of people there the days I was there, but it was not too terribly crowded. The bartenders are quick and friendly, and the DJ was top notch...especially when I was there on New Year's Eve! And...they have a resident gato! It is a perfect place to spend a nice evening on the shore in Cozumel!

There is a beautiful heart at the beach.

Amazing experience. The food is fresh and delicious. Admiring the sunset in this restaurant was really nice, we took a couple of drinks while we were looking the sunset. I really recommend visit it.

The location was good for us because it was not right in the middle of the busy town area. It was a little further down and closer to the hotel we stayed at. There was street parking. It is right on the water, which has a pretty view. It was chilly at night with the wind from the water. Our dinner was good, but this was not our favorite spot. We had the burger, which was big enough for us to split. The food was tasty and plentiful. There was a restaurant side, which also had little tables with lights. There was also a side with music and lights. There is a great photo opportunity by the water with a light-up heart. It looks like a fun place to go dance or listen to music. They did not take Amex.

We had a good time hanging out here for a few hours. We had a few good drinks and the nachos were amazing. Definitely would recommend checking this spot out. The service was super friendly.

Nice spot, not crowded or loud, but solidly full, and spaced out, on a weekday afternoon. Relatively small cocktail menu, but I'd think they'd make anything fairly standard off menu. Decent cocktails. Several beers on tap. Very few servers so you have to work a bit to get their attention, but that's fine as long as you're prepared for it.

We stumbled upon this place while walking along the water and were very pleasantly surprised by this place! We were here on a Thursday evening and were also able to watch a live band while having a sunset. Ambiance/Service: We were on the lower level with all of the couches, etc. Extremely comfortable setting and a very neat vibe. Good music, live music, etc. The service staff was also very friendly and helpful. Food/Drinks: We ordered a lot of different drinks and they were all very good from their wine, beer, and cocktails. We only had their guacamole, however, it was very tasty, so I imagine some of their other stuff is pretty good as well. Definitely recommend going here if you are looking for a place to relax, have good drinks, and hopefully listen to some live music (if there is). Check this place out!

    Hemingway daiquiri
    Adria T.

This is a fun place. It's on the water and there is a heart sign you can take a photo with. The ambiance is really good. The Hemingway daiquiri is really good and my friends said all their drinks were good too. There are only certain drinks available for ladies' night so be sure to ask before you order. The hookah was so-so, but not bad. They don't take AmEx so no points there.

Lanterns hang from the trees casting a warm amber glow, everything feels soft and intimate, and a live band playing low-key jazz ties it all together. It's cozy, a little romantic, and honestly one of the better dining atmospheres on the island. Hard to say how it translates during the day, but at night, it works. The Food The food holds its own, even if the setting gets most of the attention. By Cozumel standards, it's some of the better food we had on the island. The menu leans creative but still approachable. We tried a bit of everything. The Mexican dumplings were fine. Not bad, not memorable. The trio of guacamoles was a hit, especially the one with fruit and bacon, which sounds questionable but works really well. The queso was exactly what you expect. Good, comforting, not trying to reinvent anything. The standout surprise was the tortillas. Freshly made and easily one of the best parts of the meal. They elevated everything they touched. The meat tacos were also very solid, well-seasoned and satisfying. Dessert was the house specialty, a cornbread-based dish with ice cream and toppings. Don't remember the name, but I remember finishing it, which says enough. Service Service was good across the board. Friendly, efficient, nothing over the top but nothing missing either. Overall Kondesa is worth visiting for the atmosphere alone, but the food makes sure it's not just a pretty place. Come for dinner, take your time, and enjoy the setting. It's one of those meals where the environment does half the work and the food handles the rest.

The lush plants and decor really elevate the atmosphere--I felt like I was dining in the middle of a jungle. But not a stuffy jungle with bugs everywhere! Our server (I believe his name was Victor?) was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. As for the food, everything was incredible. We started with the fundido and lionfish cakes. I didn't try the fundido myself, but everyone at the table couldn't stop raving about it. The lionfish cakes were so good, I was honestly tempted to skip an entree and just order another round of those. For my main, I had the Yucatán fish and it was unbelievably good. I hadn't had red snapper in a while and didn't know what to expect, but it totally blew me away. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Cozumel, and Kondesa is definitely at the top of my list of reasons to return.

Their tone came across as aggressive and somewhat rude, which was surprising, but we assured them it wasn't an issue since we planned to order food and drinks anyway. Still, their approach left a sour first impression. This used to be our favorite spot 12 years ago when it was open to the public and free to enter. Back then, ordering food and drinks was optional, but the place has since changed under the ownership of Landmark Corp. Public access is no longer allowed without meeting their requirements or paying a fee. There are a few important things to note: sunscreen is not allowed, and there is no lifeguard on duty, so swimming and snorkeling are entirely at your own risk. The menu now caters primarily to tourists, featuring westernized dishes with a touch of Mexican cuisine. Prices are similar to what you'd find in the U.S., which is expected for a tourist destination. Cruise ships frequently drop off passengers here, so lounge chairs tend to fill up quickly until they leave. Additionally, paying by credit card incurs a transaction fee, so using pesos is the better option. If I hadn't come with my kids--and if visiting the Money Bar wasn't the main reason for our trip to Cozumel--I might have walked away. This place holds so many special memories from when we were single and used to travel to Mexico often, but the changes have made it feel far less welcoming than it once was.
