Just moved into a new home and discovered a problem with the microwave on a combo oven. Since we moved a good distance from our former home, we were a bit concerned HEMI would travel the distance. For a nominal fee ($10) they came out within a few days, diagnosed the problem, replaced the defective parts and had us up and running. HEMI has always come thru for us and did so once again. I was very pleased with my experience with hemi's! I had a few issues with multiple appliances they came out off course the dishwasher didn't leak when they were there so they didn't charge me for that. Another very positive experience with Hemi's Appliance Repair today (Feb. 22, 2022) despite some bad news. Tony and Kevin came to my home to look at a 7-year-old Maytag clothes washer that was making a lot of noise. These polite gentlemen quickly assessed the situation amid the chaos of my three young nieces and a very social 12-year-old Labrador retriever. They carefully explained what they found, how the damage is impacting the machine's functionality and strongly advised me not to put a very serious investment into a nearly decade old machine. Called for service and was told they are so busy they could not come out for four days

My washing machine was stopping in the rinse cycle with an error message. Ted from Hemi's came out quickly and cleared out debris. However the problem returned. Ted came back and upon further inspection found coins that had been jammed in the machine and ground down over time. The problem returned and Ted came back and disassembled the tub finding more debris. Problem solved. These guys don't quit!!! read more

When we called for emergency service at 2:00 on a Friday as our refrigerator stopped working, no one answered. We left repeated messages and finally spoke with someone at 4:30. She told us nothing could be done til Monday. We were willing to pay overtime (anything for that matter) but they would not service us. We had used their services in the past. I had issues with both my washer and dryer and sent Hemi's a message via Google. They were a little slow to respond (messaged Saturday, heard back Monday, messaged back Monday morning, heard back Tuesday at 8pm, they did respond same day Thursday) and then we scheduled something for Friday. They charged a service fee for both products - here's what the exact policy was: "The service call fee for Samsung is $99 plus tax. That gets waived with repair. The second appliance would be a $50 service call fee, waived with repair.." Tony came by and was super helpful. He helped me fix my dryer issue and after asking him some questions, I decided just to get a new washer altogether. He was very helpful answering my questions, told me some brands that he thought had better quality, and that he thinks top loading washers have less issues than front, which was helpful to know. He was also very clear to not try and sway me one way or another. I ended up paying $178: $119 for dryer vent service and then $49 for the service call for the washer. Tony was extremely nice, professional, and in and out very quickly. I would definitely work with Hemi's Appliance Repair again. read more

I was nervous about what install contractor I could end up with from Lowes or Home Depot when buying a new double wall oven for a relative in another state. I did some research online to find my own who seemed to have a good reputation including on Yelp. Requests for estimates went out to several places. Hemi's responded quickly and when I had follow up questions they answered promptly and professionally. I called on the phone for more details about scheduling after making a purchase and was very happy with the person I spoke with leaving me confident I had made a good choice. The installers called before showing up and showed up on time as they said they would. They were great to work with and they stayed busy the entire time. Of course no surprise that modifications to the cabinet where the old one was had to be made though both old and new were GE. The reviews are right! Hemi's is great! They came out on a federal holiday right on time to check out our washer that was behaving strangely. Charlie was very polite and professional and ran some diagnostics on the machine. Ultimately, he had to use some deduction to guess what was wrong with it, but he was able to give me a workaround to keep the issue (flooding) from happening again. He did give me a workup for a repair but pointed out it would be better to replace the washer, and I appreciated the honesty. He also gave me a specific model of washer that he recommended as durable. I would definitely call Hemi's again. The price for the callout & evaluation was around $90 and it was worth it for the peace of mind. read more

I found them in the phonebook as I had had no experience with the need for an appliance repair. They returned my call the same day and came out the following day. They sent to young gentleman who were most polite, answered all my questions and repaired my dryer in no time. What was wrong with my dryer involved another part that operated fine but was starting to wear out. So before replacing all of it like repairman often want to do, they asked my permission to replace the entire thing as it often came in a kit. I appreciated their honesty and being upfront with me. Two technicians arrived on time about our old refrigerator no longer holding temperature. Both were friendly and experienced. They quickly disassembled a couple of things to get to the heart of the refrigeration system and Immediately diagnosed the problem: a freon leak. With the unit being 21 years old, repair was obviously not worth it. They reassembled everything and departed. The cost was minimal and appropriate. I'd use them again, for sure. read more
