We had an issue with our years-old Bosch dishwasher where the draining motor would not shut off, and water dripping was forming puddles in our kitchen. My wife did what most do-it-yourselfers do and after pulling out the dishwasher, checked out YouTube! Unfortunately, this was one problem that she could not resolve. After searching on Yelp for appliance repairs, Appliance Express Repair was local, had multiple 5-star reviews, and I used Yelp's messaging to contact the business along with making a call. Alex returned the message back with an approximate price very quickly, but then also called. I explained the issue and we came up with a day and time for him to come and diagnose the problem. He said that if he can fix it, the price for the visit will be included in the fix price. Alex came on time, and was able to diagnose the broken part within a few seconds. But, he did not have the part in the truck and would have to order it. He did and again came back when he said he would a couple of days later and fixed the dishwasher in under a half hour. The total price of $135 which included the initial visit, part, and installation I thought was very reasonable. Yelpers have again saved the day by helping me guide my decision as to who to use for appliance repairs. Alex was courteous, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. He arrived when promised and found the problem right away. He did tell me that if the issue continued (problems with the ice maker), that he would have to order a new part. The freezer is in our garage, which is hot now, because we don't have room in our house for it. He thoroughly checked the freezer's temperature, freon, wiring and mechanisms. I found mold inside my washing machine gasket the other day and after a quick research online I have contacted Appliance Express which provided me some info about my problem. Today I woke up to a broken refrigerator. After checking out reviews here on Yelp, I decided to give this company a call. Alex returned my call within an hour and promptly scheduled me for a same day appointment this afternoon which I really appreciated. He called ahead of time and showed up in the promised window which is always nice. I was most impressed that after assessing the situation, instead of suggesting a costly repair that he would have profited from, he recommended getting a new one and just charged me a small diagnosis fee. On the phone, he had told me upfront what the diagnosis fee would be if it ended up being unrepairable and that it would be waived if a repair was done.
