They sell plenty of grass fed pasteurized meats: Beef, pork, lamb, goose, duck, rabbit, turkey and chicken. Also sausages, eggs, vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers. When I still lived in Yorktown this was my go to place for meat and eggs. I loved this place and miss it so much!! I am glad to have watched it develop from a tiny store under the main barn into the full fledged butcher/ farm store it is now. Animals are raised and butchered on site in the most humane way. The meat is packaged and immediately frozen for longer shelf life. Some of it is sold freshly butchered. Did I mention how I miss it Keep up the great work!!! read more

Came in to get some produce and meat for the coming weeks! The staff was attentive and the selection was great. The bacon and sausage we purchased were delicious and you can taste the quality. My only wish is that I wish they had a wider selection of items to shop from outside of their meat and poultry but otherwise worth the 30 minute trip and we will be back! read more

We love the people and the array of fresh and consciously grown food from Hemlock Hill Turkey Farm. We bought our turkey from them. Brined it and must say it was our best turkey ever! Plenty of meat in the 16lb bird we bought for our 11 guests and enough left over for another dinner for three plus soup we will make from the carcass. Already looking forward to repeating next year. Selection and quality are all you need. From meats to spreads and dairy, all fresh and well merchandised. We got a Chorizo stick, Blackberry, Balsamic Ginger jam, a loaf of wholewheat sourdough baguette and shared it as a sandwich at Croton Point Park. Not best weather day but dry and cooler but even better with then makeshift lunch. Also got a key lime tart. Stopped here on my way back down to the Island from Massachusetts. The farm itself is beautiful and the inside of the market is extremely clean with a variety of vegetables and different cuts of meat, eggs, bread, and a whole bunch of other delicious items. pictured is the porterhouse and sourdough bread that I picked up. I also picked up some bacon and, a dozen eggs which were equally as delicious, I'm seriously considering purchasing a half a cow from this farm. Picking up the fresh turkey! A 24 lb monster! Probably should shop here more often, given the assortment of local cheeses, dairy products, fruits and vegetables, and on-farm meat products, including sausages, bacon and assorted beef cuts. Have relied on the farm for whole pig roasts (they even deliver the pig and roaster and pickup after) over the years, always with outstanding results. We are happy that a deal was struck to protect this acreage as farmland in perpetuity! read more

I love shopping at this farm. The meat quality is outstanding. They take good care of their animals and source products from local farms and vendors. The slightly higher prices are completely worth it. We always get our fresh-killed Thanksgiving turkey here (always with extra Turkey legs). Where they get the extra Turkey legs from, I don't ask....... They carry a great aged white cheddar cheese and our family can't get enough of it. We try to keep an ongoing stock of their bacon and I love their local beer and cider selection. They have their new store open with fresh meat vs. frozen - awesome. The new food truck is a really nice addition - I hope they expand their menu to include non-bread required items (besides the current chili offering). The truck also is only there Thursday-Saturday (NOT Sunday). I found out the hours the hard way...on Sunday. I only wish they had longer hours during the week so I could stop by as I drive home from work (they close early at 6pm). read more

We've been coming for years. On this visit, We had our dogs secured in our car In their parking lot. The farm dog came by and severely scratched (deep scratches) our car. Very impressed with the thanksgiving turkey. Reminded me of what a bird should taste like. Very high quality meat that roasted evenly. Staff was very polite and friendly, helpful when we needed a hand. While not cheap, you get what you pay for! They turned eating turkey from a chore into a feast. read more

This is a genuine honest to god working farm in Westchester. Stunning that it hasn't been sold off, divided, developed into condos. It's a treasure, and I haven't even mentioned the quality of the merchandise yet, which is sublime. Some of the best meat I've ever had. The pasture is right next to the retail shop, you can see the cows for yourself. They're clearly happier than any factory farmed animals you'll find processed in your local grocery. Hemlock Hill is a GEM! The evolution of this place has been magnificent over the decades, love this place and family. The shop has all kinds of fresh cut meat (the bacon is amazing), pick up a 6-pack of beer from locally sourced brewery's which is pretty rad and the fresh veggies when in-season, are awesome. Sometimes they have exotic greens/ produce often not grown in the area which is nice change for the palette. Cool you can talk directly with the farmers and employees to learn more about the business and products. Can't beat it and it's a 3rd generation family owned farm. read more

I live a few miles away and drive by on my way to the Taconic every day on my commute. Finally stopped in a few weeks ago and fell in love. We've tried a few different meats (ground beef, chorizo, bacon) along with a variety of vegetables and finally, the eggs and milk. I believe the eggs and milk come from other local farms but there isn't anywhere else in Peekskill that I know of to get these brands so it's nice having all the options at this one farm store. Everything has been delicious, especially the corn, I wish I had discovered it earlier in the summer! Prices are not too bad for the meat and veggies, the dairy and eggs are a little expensive but still worth it, in my opinion! read more

Found cooked and SOLD!...I have been looking high and low for a local farm to buy my veggies and meats and sure enough I have found it!.. First, I believe if you are going to change the nature in how we process and make food in this country the first thing that we will each need to do is begin to realize that each trip to the grocery store is actual vote for more chemicals and artificial additives. So, first and foremost, buy fresh, and buy local!! I have begun a mostly organic diet and although it is a staple in my life, I have and will frequent other restuarants..but when I am home and make my food fresh from my kitchen it is organic! So back to this review - I found Hemlock Hill Farm today and was able to grab some meat!...mostly bacon...and well, it was pretty good... I have ordered from US Wellness Meats in the past and although I enjoy their bacon much better, ( its has much more meat than fat in comparison) I'm giving these folks another chance...plus, how can I not, its sustainable farming, great for the environment and for the local economy... So I have found a place to begin to support my local farmers and encourage you to do the same...and if you are in the area, this is a great place to start....so even if the beamer gets a lil unfamiliar with the dirt path leading up to the farm, avoid wearing heels cuz, its a farm and, hey - it's pretty good eats.. if you know better by all means pass it along! read more

My wife and I LOVE this farm. We get all our meats eggs and most of our veggies from here. For the past 3 years we have gotten our fresh turkey for Thanksgiving as well and it is one of the beat birds I have had in years!! The staff is great and very helpful. read more

This is a real farm. Well cared for but not pretentious. In season, you can pick your own veggies. You can buy a live chicken. You can also buy veggies, dairy and meat in the retail store, and the service is always lovely. A recent renovation has made the store much larger and some food service is also in the works, but I hope they retain the "realness" because that's what makes them unique in Northern Westchester. read more

The staff is always helpful and lets me know if there's a sale I may not be aware of. The farm was great from the outside. I went in expecting to find fresh meat. Ground beef to be exact. All they had was frozen. Very disappointing. On top of the only frozen meat, service was atrocious. I walked in second in line behind a women who was working with the man at the counter. While waiting for her to finish, a man who was the same ethnicity as the man behind the counter walked in. The man behind the counter stopped helping the woman, completely disregarded me, started speaking spanish, and helped the person who had just walked in. I just moved to the area and live less than a mile away, and stopped in for the first time. I would not and could not recommend this to anyone in the area after this. read more

We bought our Thanksgiving turkey here last year and it was so good we came back to try other things. While their "prepared meats" (sausage, etc.) are not to our taste, we love their meats in general. Especially the beef-- it actually tastes beefy, not like that bland stuff you get in supermarkets. Now we take the drive up here once a month to stock up. It feels great to support a local farm, and the quality we get here makes it easy to do so. read more

Hemlock Hill Farm deserves the support of the local population. Their vegetables are so fresh and delicious. We regularly buy their chickens, which are totally organic and are fresh (as in killed that day). The taste, the texture is completely different from what you find in a grocery store. My family no longer buys chicken from the grocery. Not only that, the chicken cooks much faster. I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to have this farm so close to home. The ground beef and patties are the same price as what you would pay in a supermarket for ground sirloin. The eggs are the same price as what you'd pay for organic/cage free in a supermarket. The difference is that the beef and eggs here taste delicious and you are supporting a local business. read more

The place is an active farm. The are open all year round. The store is under construction so the variety was limited. The staff was extremely helpful and offered to show us around. Where can you go to buy beef,chicken,lamb and pork on the same acreage it was raised on? This is the place. We bought beef steaks,pork chops and fresh eggs. They also sell local produce from farms nearby. They butcher the meat themselves so just ask for. We chose meat from the freezer as we had a long trip home to Long Island. Went over to check the place out based on awesome reviews... I was a little confused when I drove up based on construction that seemed to be going on. The store at the moment is in a tiny mobile trailer that holds a small amount of frozen beef, vegetables (onions, eggplant, tomatoes etc.) milk, eggs, cheese, honey, beef jerky and of course the infamous chickens. As of now, the chickens only come whole and are not separated into only breasts, thighs, or tenders. I ended up purchasing a full 4-lb chicken. I asked for a suggestion as to how to cook it.. The cashier who was one of the farm owners suggested to do a beer can chicken on the grill. I have yet to try everything else I purchased, however, based on how this chicken turned out I cannot wait to try everything else. The chicken was SO fresh, juicy, and delicious and I really appreciated the preparation suggestion. I was told that the store will be opening soon so they can better serve, however, what they have now seems to work just fine!! Highly suggest a visit it you're looking for farm fresh and supporting local farms! read more
