This place would almost be perfect if they had alot They also had a turkey who kinda looked like a dinosaur and my son was convinced it wanted to fart on us lol... this is clearly his monologue right now as I'm writing this. Tons of picnic tables to bring your own grub and chill with the family We went during their sugaring so they showed us how they make their maple syrup which was cool!! They are surrounded my backwoods and trails Also they had like a highland cow there which was my fav!

Muscoot Farm is a great place to go if you need your daily fix of cute animals. I saw goats, sheep, chickens, a pig, cows, turkeys, and other cute animals. We weren't able to see any chicks or baby turkeys but we did see baby cows and some cute lambs. Muscoot Farm isn't a petting zoo, but the animals do come up to you sometimes if you're quiet and respectful. I was surprised that I didn't see any of their horses and that they didn't have any male turkeys, but we got to see some of the feeding time, and I even got the chance to learn a little about how the Farm used to be run. The farm doesn't require payment, but they do take donations so please donate when you come so that they can continue feeding and caring for the animals and the land, and so they can continue to pay their employees. This farm is a great place, and I hope that anyone who reads this review comes to visit.

Great place to spend the whole day with your kids and the whole family. Kids will love the animals here. There is also a hiking trails inside the farm. The Sunday farmer market were great. We love this place.

I may be overrating this Farm/Park/Museum, but I'm a city girl now and I love it! On a rainy day we had the place to ourselves. Im sure we didn't get the full treatment but I sure didn't care. Live animals! So beautiful to see up close and personal. Antique carriages and more. A gift shop and beautiful house to tour. All of this fun and not a penny admission fee! I'm returning to take more photos soon. I highly recommend this Farm for city dwellers. This place would be a special treat for young children that live in NYC. They do accommodate buses. If you don't have a car you may be able to visit via a bus tour. Relax and breathe fresh air!

We did the morning farm chores on June 1st and it was wonderful! My children had a great time. The director of the farm lead the farm chores and he was fantastic! Patience with the children, very knowledgeable and extremely kind. We couldn't have asked for a better time at the farm. Muscoot farm is about a 40 minute drive for us because we are in North Rockland but our visit was worth the drive. The farm is very clean and well run. It did not smell at all and there are lots of workers. I'd definitely recommend visiting this farm and I will definitely be returning soon!

Love coming during the winter after a snow storm. Beautiful serene quaint place to take a walk among the farm and animals. And so reachable in mid Westchester.

Definitely not a whole day event but worth the trip, especially because its... FREE. I usually find myself paying to walk around or see something outdoorsy and find myself thinking.. "what for?" on the way out. The weather was nice, so the animals were not couped up in pens trying to stay warm or away from the sun, so I think we were there on a good day. They have: cows, horses, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, donkeys, and pigs. But we are not allowed to touch, or feed the animals, which is disappointing. This place is perfect for young children.

I always love coming here ..never crowded like some of the other farms. plenty of animals to see and pet..there's a little snack bar if you are hungry. The hiking trail wraps around the back of the farm for some great views

The greatest farm experience for any age. See chickens, cows, pigs, donkeys and more while grabbing a pumpkin in the pumpkin patch and hopping on a hay ride. I will be back every year thanks to this amazing spot and great staff!

Brought some brunch and enjoyed the view!

Beautiful and fun for kids! Theres hiking, a museum area, and a bunch of animals to see. I was stopping for a nice place to eat my lunch and ended up staying for a few hours! It was so nice, definitely recommend and bring a picnic!

My favorite place to go and visit the animals without having to spend a fortune . It runs on donations so come, pack a nice lunch and have a picnic on the lawn by the main house. I give a few dollars and I know it goes to help keep the farm running.

We had a wonderfully impromptu weekend sojourn to Fable Farm this past Saturday to pick up some local cider and donuts. Little did we know that Fable is also home to a slew of chickens and goats who are packed with personality and pluck, and totally made our day with their sweet and adorable antics! We had a great time watching the animals hang out and peck around their spacious pen enclosure, safe from the masked onlookers who came to gawk at the majesty of farmland critters. Honestly, any interactions with cute barnyard characters is a high point to my day, so Fable gets five stars on that alone! We also loved the local farmer's market that sets up here, and even though it was close to closing for the day, we were able to browse around for a bit. I didn't buy anything, but the produce looked fresh and there were lots of other locally made goods like honey and soaps. We'll be back for sure next time when we have more time to look around at all the offerings! The local cider and scrumptious donuts were our initial mission, and they did not disappoint. The cider was juicy and tangy, and I couldn't stop drinking it for the rest of the evening once we got home. I was able to limit myself to one cider donut (brushed with cinnamon sugar - yum!), but that was so difficult! My boyfriend's mom was delighted with the cider donuts we brought home for her, too. I highly recommend checking out Fable Farm for a low-key autumn afternoon activity!

We went to Thompson's Cider Mill last November given a high recommendation. They sold a variety of local goods, e.g. fresh apples, cider, baked goods, and hard cider tastings among other products. We washed down the fresh apple cider donuts with cold cider, and the moment was heavenly! The cider was refreshing without being overly sweet or acidic. The donuts were a perfect, slightly dense, but super moist cake that seemed to both crumble and melt in your mouth. We opted for the sugar dusted donuts, which were also not overly sweet, but had a nice textural contrast to the donut body. The donuts are also rather filling! The staff was friendly, and they gave us the impression of a well knit work family. We purchased a quart of cider, a dozen donuts, and quite a lot of apples from their variety for approximately $32, which we felt was overall a good deal. I believe the farm grounds go deeper and is open to the public (with activities for kids), but we could not explore further because we were already running late having had to make a detour because the address listed on Google was different from where the market was set up. During autumn, they open shop at a different main address to allow for more parking, and the entrance addresses may be inconsistent. We would definitely want to come back for second helpings next autumn!

An artisanal blend of crisp natural flavor, burst of apple, semi-dry without the synthetic taste that store purchased cider have. Open weekends, we will return for the fall harvest next year.
