I was very impressed with the room setup, as it was a big room with chandliers, nice tables and chairs, and looked very beautiful for an event. Even had an upstairs part where one can hang out if a person wants to. We met with a person who is no longer working there, but she was very nice. There are lots of options if one is planning a party: there are breakfast/brunch options, a buffet option, and a sit down option. We would have done a sit down option, which included salad, pasta, fish, steak and chicken dishes. (ask for a sit down menu for specifics) Including options like an open bar. She did a good job answering all our questions and concerns. Also just a small feedback, they should have samples of food around so that a person planning the party knows how the food tastes. While we encase our trust in them to make good Salmon for instance, i think it would be benefical for all party planners to know how the food is. We also checked the restroom, which was clean, and was big and roomy. It is also a little more on the expensive side. While we decided on another venue, I really liked this one despite not really being on the water, but having a small waterfall from the view of the window. Maybe good for another event in the future!

This place can be hosted with a number of events of your choice, private party, drama set, you name it, it will happen and be taken care of by the facility. On my first visit, I wasn't expecting it to look so eye appealing, but stepping in sure answered that question. The room is fairly large with plenty of seating and also a balcony with tables along with a bar - pretty cool if you ask me. With it being very crowded, there are two stair wells to move foot traffic along quickly. I like the decorations all around the room, especially the disco balls that were hanging (a big fan of disco, no joke). It's awesome just taking it all in. The room looked very clean for our event, and I highly recommend booking them for any event if your choice. *Parking is provided on the street and also a parking area just east of this building. Also, the Dramatic Hall is located on the 3rd level via elevator or stairs.*

First off, I have to say this, I've never seen anything like the Dramatic Hall. It sure lives up to its name. Seriously so much drama and it surely is a photographers playground. It was the perfect atmosphere for a Sunday wedding. Can't say enough how much I enjoyed photographing a wedding here. Everything was so royal and "extra" without being too over the top. The lightning truly was my favorite as well as all the industrial/modern feels. Love the disco balls that hang elegantly as well as the two stairs that wrap around. It's such a fun, different space for any occasion but especially for a wedding. Parking's not the best but they have street parking available nearby. Sunday's it's free so that's a plus. If you're looking for a different kind of venue this is your spot. You will love all the drama and fun it has!

I was a bridesmaid in my friend's…read morewedding this past summer, and unfortunately, it was one of the most poorly managed and unprofessional venues I've ever encountered. Upon arrival--at the exact time we were instructed to be there--there were no staff members on site to prepare the venue. The bride and bridal party were left to figure things out on their own. The tablecloths provided were wrinkled beyond belief, clearly having been stored in garbage bags and not even minimally steamed or pressed for presentation. The outdoor ceremony setup was equally unacceptable. Just 1-2 days prior, the groundskeepers had laid fresh mulch, leaving the entire space smelling strongly of manure. Guests had to endure the odor while watching the bride walk down the aisle flanked by dollar-store-quality fake flowers. To make matters worse, a large hole in the fencing behind the ceremony site--clearly visible to guests--was brought to the venue's attention at the rehearsal and the bride and groom specifically asked that it be repaired. It never was. It remained a major eyesore in every ceremony photo. Staff finally arrived about an hour before the wedding began. But instead of helping with critical last-minute details like steaming linens or assisting the bridal party, they chose to focus on washing down the walkways to remove an excessive amount of goose feces. Despite their efforts, the droppings remained in many areas--causing stains on dresses and even trapping the bride's veil to the ground during her entrance. Shockingly, the staff also thought it was appropriate to begin painting walls--yes, painting--just minutes before the bridal party was supposed to walk down the aisle. It was a last-ditch effort to cover up the deteriorating condition of the venue and left everyone speechless. It may sound exaggerated--but I truly wish I were making this up. The cocktail hour was just as chaotic. Bar lines were incredibly long due to a lack of experienced bartenders, and appetizers were served without plates--only napkins. Among a very limited spread of cheese and crackers sat a random bowl of chocolate Raisinettes, seemingly tossed in from a bulk container at BJ's. All of these issues combined took away from what should have been joyful moments. The bride and groom lost nearly an hour of their scheduled photography time due to these preventable mistakes and delays. No couple should have to endure this level of unprofessionalism on their wedding day. Jefferson on the Lake has a long way to go if it wants to be taken seriously as a wedding venue. I strongly urge future couples to reconsider booking here.
