At 8:00 am, this morning, I dropped my vehicle off to have the windshield replaced at Henderson Glass, 3682 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525. Neither of the two men sitting behind plexiglass had masks on. One of the two, took my keys and got into my vehicle .... NO MASK ON. At 1:55 pm, I called Henderson Glass to find out if my vehicle was ready. I got "Well, I thought we called you." At 2:10 I was there to pick up my vehicle. Again, the two men did not have masks on. I asked if they had wiped/sanitized my vehicle as I saw the one get in without one earlier. I was told, no they don't do that. Perhaps I should sanitize it. I informed them that my husband has cancer, if I bring home ANY type of germs, it can kill him. I find Henderson Glass unprofessional, unsanitary, and obviously too self-absorbed to care about any of their customers. I'd like to take this time to lodge a formal complaint. I will never take any business to them, I will make sure all of my friends know of my experience. read more

I have visited this store for services many times over the past several years. Rich Petitpren and the staff there are just THE BEST! I always receive prompt, courteous and skilled attention to every problem I present them with. They have fixed several stone chips, an entire windshield and failing double paned windows. Without any questions, Henderson Glass rearranged their schedule in order to fit me in the same day. Great service-polite and efficient. So far I've had multiple conversations via phone, 3 service calls, 3 main orders and I'm 3/3 ...still a happy customer. They went slightly beyond a sale quote to meet my financial request for continued business. And only one minor glitch once with a scheduled time. But, I don't hold a grudge. 5 stars! The worst experience, dropped my car off for a front windshield replacement. Went to pick it up, the service tech wasn't available mind you I had an appointment. Mike the assistant manager said he is running late and wouldn't be able to calibrate my camera that day again they had my car since 6am in the morning. So ok tomorrow they could do the calibration so went get in the car there was GLASS EVERYWHERE, Mike the assistant manager said that he cleaned it out it was NOT. He proceeded to use a air hose and air blast the GLASS chips and places out of my car, he basically sand blasted the interior of my car. I took my car and park it in front of the business got a hold of Vince at the corporate office along with the store manager of the Plainfield store Rick. The Glass was still in my car and on the hood of the car where was damage to my dashboard, center console, and also outside of the car. Talking to Rick the Plainfield store manager he rolled his eyes at me and was clearly not wanting to do anything to fix the situation, HORRIBLE customer service. After 3 hours the decision was to get my car detailed but they wanted me to take the car but the Glass was still all over the car I refused. So Rick was supposed to take my car to a local car dealership but it ended up in Plainfield I think at this point in time I don't know where my car is. I called my insurance company to see if the damage would be covered under my insurance, and now Henderson Glass is refusing to take responsibility for anything that happened it's been 5 days without a car. They have the worst customer service, workmanship, business practices please be very mindful not to do business with this company. read more

Truly the worst experience a person could have. Took my explorer to have my passenger door glass replaced. They used an after market window and motor that didn't fit properly, didn't find that out until I got home and when I went to put my window up it would immediately go back down (I took it to have broken glass repacked, mechanically the window was fine)Took the 25 minute drive back the next day to have them fix, drive back next day to only find the same issue was happening even though the manager swore "he made it go up and down a million times and it worked". They then put OEM parts in and window worked fine.... except for the excessive shaking that happens when you go to put window down. They then sent the nicest guy to come fix it, he lubricated around the glass and that helped for about 5 minutes. So two weeks later $250 later I still have a broken window. Worst customer service and business ever. read more

Had to go there 3 times for them to order the right parts to fix my window then the total was $60 more than the original quote. Apparently they didn't feel it was necessary to tell me that until it was finished. Also, no apology or anything. The staff was all pretty unfriendly with the exception of the guy that worked on Saturday morning. Oh but they do have WiFi but it doesn't work. Nice business read more

Their website has a link to create an online reservation for service. It prompts the user to enter vehicle information as well as a date and time range for the service. Then it gives a confirmation and a quote. Worked great, until I showed up and they told me they didn't have my glass, had no reservation, and weren't even aware that they had an online reservation link on their own website. Of course, the blase attitude of the front desk personnel didn't help. They acted like I was an idiot. Oh well, there are other glass companies in town. read more
