On 9/2 I purchased a truck from Hendrick Chevrolet in Monroe. The sales person Sharlene was amazing, but the finance department is another story. At the end of the process there was a mistake made with the GAP insurance. I was asked to pay $1200.00 dollars and that a rebate check would be sent in approximately 10 days. I waited till 10/7 and contacted Hendrick Chevrolet to be told that the paperwork was never processed. Great, so I was told this would be a priority and to give it 10 more days. On 10/21 I contacted them again because the check never came. The response was "Let me see what's up" Never heard back. I have since had to dispute the charges with my bank. read more

We purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer "Certified Pre-Owned" Loyalty program from the dealership. We drove all the way from Brighton, CO to pickup the vehicle. On the way back we noticed that we had some squeaking and when braking there was a bit of movement on the tires, we figured it was due to the weather and having the car put into AWD, or possible due to the larger tires. This continued on for a couple of weeks and we brought it into the dealership in Brighton and was told that we had warped rotors on the car. Imagine our surprise when the charge listed was over $1,400 for a car we just made the first payment on? When we called the dealership we were told that inspecting the brakes was part of the 180 point inspection and they we get back to us. The original salesperson, Scott Killian, who found the car for us from the Jeff Gordon dealership in Wilmington, NC and had it transferred to the Monroe, NC location, was on vacation at the time. I did call him again after a week of no response to the we will look into it and get back to you. I find it very disheartening after purchasing multiple cars from this dealership, as well as having family that has purchased well over 10 cars as well. I thought I finally found a dealership that was worth keeping and looked out for their customers. I drove over 1600 miles to purchase a car and am now very sorry that I ever did. read more

The dealership is not my issue. The service department is the worst. They will not call you back or answer a call. For 3 days we tried calling and finally had to go back up there just to be told it wasn't ready. I asked to speak to the manager, I was told he wasn't there. He walked out and introduced himself as the service manager. He wasn't helpful. At all. Horrible customer service. We bought a 2023 Escalade as well as having our 17 Escalade serviced there as well. Had an appt scheduled for my brand new 2024 Silverado (less than 2k miles) because transmission already acting up. took off work, arrived early, and was advised their transmission tech would not be in for a week. This is the worst dealership I've ever been to. Went in month ago to purchase a vehicle that just came in. They told us they would do an inspection and fix everything that needed replacement and it took them 2 weeks. Finally get the car and the check engine light came on one day later. We took it back and tried to get out of the deal and Chris wouldn't let us. After a week we get it back and the next day the same thing happened. We took it in a few days later and the car sat there for a week and they didn't know what the problem was. They finally came back a week and a half later just to tell us they needed to replace the vehicle. Here we are a month later with no replacement and we have not received our money back. This dealership is incapable of getting anything done in a fast pace and they don't know what's wrong with the cars they try to sell you! Save your money and time and go somewhere else. read more

Service center is the worst I have ever seen. dropped car off on Thursday am just to have them say no appt. finally figured out I had appt that I did online. Then said I'll give you a call on status but never called. I called thurs afternoon only nobody answered. Left message that said they will call you within business day. Friday afternoon no call so called back Only to be told they had not even looked at it. Then over the weekend I get automated email saying you missed you appt. called back Monday to be told still had not looked at which I then informed them not to touch it i will come get it and take it to a professional service center. Don't count on Hendrick to be there after the sale. As soon as I left the dealership a Service light for the driver assist package came on. I called them right away. I took it back they found the problem but said they could not repair it because of the cost. They bragged about how well they put their cars through inspection and theres no way they didn't know. they just reset it so I wouldn't see it when I bought the car. Lessen learned read more

We've been looking for a 2019 Tahoe and found one advertised online and called to talk to a sales person about the car and agreed to come in the next day to see the car after confirming the price and extras the car had. When we got to the dealership we were told the price that was advertised and we had a screen shot of was longer valid. That the manufacturer changed their incentive over night and now the same car was $10k more. We pulled up the same car on the website again and showed them it being advertised $10k less then what they were telling us the asking price was now. All they could say was that they couldn't honor the price that was currently being advertised due to the manufacturer pulling their incentives. This makes no sense. If the manufacturer pulled the incentive then why wasn't the price adjusted to reflect this online? This is misleading at best, and the dealership took no responsibility for advertising one price and then changing the price to $10k more once they got us in their dealership. Save your time, money and effort and go to another dealership that values their customers and doing business fairly. Unbelievable that they get away with these type of deceptive business practices. read more

Was sold a 2012 Kia Optima in 2016. We were told it was in great condition, they told us the previous owner had to have the bumper replaced due a "minor collision." Today we are at another dealership trying to trade in the 2012 Kia and the dealer informed us that the previous owner was in an accident and the vehicle was totaled. "It was declared not drive-able, and a total loss declared by the insurance company," per the Car Fax report. If I had known this before I would not of bought the vehicle. Just an incredibly uncaring group in service department. I was sent there by the manufacturer of my battery for a warranty issue. Made an appointment last week and told them specifically what I was coming in for. They had every excuse in the book for why they would not do the work. After the Atlanta based company who sold the battery told me to just get a new battery installed and pay for it and he would reimburse me, they then said they didn't have any batteries. So a wasted two hours. Some people really get customer service and then there are car dealers....Avoid this one if you can. read more

Hendrick Chevrolet of Monroe is got the worst customer service and the most rude and hateful people in the service center. My car was brought in on Monday to replace a tire which I had just bought for from them the week before. I had it towed in to the dealership and they told me they would have to order the tire and it would take one day and my vehicle would be ready Tuesday and to come and pick it up around 1. When I arrived they had never even touched my vehicle and the service manager thought it was funny that I was upset. His excuse was we forgot and started laughing. After showing my butt I got ahold of the general manager over the whole dealership Mike. He talked to the men which were all standing around with their thumbs up their butt and said they were getting ready to start on it now. He did not say we're sorry I apologize or anything except I guess you know that we're Liars which I had to deal with them last year when they sold my 92 year-old mother a car with about five different recalls on it. The service manager made it clear if you don't like waiting so it off and take it somewhere else. I have heard rumors about this dealership doing things to your car just to make you come back for Unnecessary repairs so I decided to pull around where my car was. The service manager sent two men out to following me around the parking lot like I was going to jump in the car and take off with it. After waiting about 4 hours my car was ready but they told me it was ready 2 hours prior they just wanted me to sit and wait on it and laughed about it. They would not pull my car around after they serviced it they told me to go to the parking lot and get it myself. I would never ever buy another car from Hendricks of Monroe. If you do read the reviews but not on the Hendrick site I was told by a former employee if you posted a negative comment they would go in and flag it and have it removed so it did not hurt their reputation.
