Probably the best dealership experience I've ever had! I found a Honda on Autotrader that looked really clean in photos and decided to give Charlotte Auto Group a call. I was greeted by Duke and right off the bat I appreciated the honest conversation we had. Unfortunately, he wasn't near the vehicle so he directed me to Michelle. When Michelle picked up, she literally grabbed the keys and went out to the vehicle for me. She pointed out some exterior defects that were too small to discern in the Autotrader photos and assured me that the interior was spotless. I never had a dealership inspect a car for me that quickly, especially within the same phone call. My last two cars were out-of-state purchases so I'm familiar with losing some leverage on negotiating the price over the phone. Luckily, Charlotte Auto Group doesn't allow negotiations. Their price on this particular Honda was higher than some other listings, but after checking out a local example here in Atlanta, I wouldn't have touched that car with a ten-foot pole. If Charlotte Auto Group's Honda matched their promised condition, then their pricing is fair, and I was willing to pay extra for it. Because of their honesty and transparency, I went ahead and put down a $500 deposit to take the listing down and booked a flight to CLT. After landing in CLT, I took a 40 minute Uber to get to the dealership. The Honda was parked out front, sparkling clean, and ready to drive off. Upon entering, Michelle apologized for not being able to pick me from the airport and handed me money to compensate for the Uber as well as my first tank of gas -- I don't think one can receive a warmer dealership welcome than this. She began collecting information to begin the paperwork while handing me the keys to the Honda to check it out. 9.5/10 Exterior and 10/10 Interior is what she described to me over the phone, and for a nearly decade old Honda, I was stunned how clean it was -- even the engine bay is on par with the last car I bought, which isn't even a year old yet. A quick test drive revealed nothing surprising about the spectacular condition of the vehicle. I'm fairly OCD about cars, so inspected just about everything, alignment was on center, clutch felt solid, fluids were topped and clear, the car came with two keys, rubber floor mats, and all the accessories, except the user manual and tool kit. Completing the paperwork took less than an hour, and after bidding farewell to Michelle, her son, and adorable dogs, I set off for Atlanta confident in my purchase. I was treated like family and Michelle even made me text her when I safely returned home! Parental anxiety I guess, but I appreciate the genuine care for their customers. When I got home, I put the Honda on the lift and again, quite flawless underneath. Brake pads had plenty of life, no leaks, torn boots, or structural damage. For peace of mind, Charlotte Auto Group provided me with a warranty that I can use nationwide, but I'm pretty sure I won't be needing it with this Honda. :) Thank you Charlotte Auto Group! read more

I rarely ever write reviews but this place left a lasting impression that I felt I needed to let everyone know. I was very skeptical about purchasing a vehicle from a private dealer but I am so glad that I took the risk. Duke and Michelle are great folks and they sold me my dream truck, a Tundra, for a great price and in fantastic condition. After my purchase I took it to the Toyota Dealership to have all the fluids replaced (my personal choice) and also a full vehicle inspection, no issues found and the Tundra drives beautifully. There is no haggling. They are straight up with you and the prices are very reasonable. I bought my truck at less than market value and for what I wanted and what I got, it was a steal. No pressure at all while looking around which was refreshing. Duke showed me the lot, told me about the truck and how they got it, and let me do my thing without breathing down my neck or pressuring me. I cant believe how lucky I am for finding this place. They also offer a Power Train Plus warranty for an additional cost that gives you some piece of mind for your used vehicle. I hope I never need to use it but glad I have it just in case. Since I live in SC vs NC they made sure I had all the paperwork I needed for the DMV and County Auditor which made that chore as easy as possible. If you are looking for a good vehicle and do not want to pay the high prices the bigger dealerships charge and or deal with a salesman pestering the heck out of you, then you need to stop by and give Charlotte Auto Group a shot. As a young, single woman, I've never had a good experience when it comes to buying a used car. I've been taken advantage of and spent way too much money trying to repair a car that had been guaranteed to be reliable. That being said, my brother had bought a car from Duke and Michelle, raving about how wonderful they were, and how different they made the car-buying experience. He told me how knowledgeable and friendly they were and that they had detailed reports about repairs that had been made to the vehicle, if any, and a CarFax as well. While I was skeptical to trust another used car salesman, I decided to check out a car I had seen on their website. I was happy to discover that my brother really does know what he's talking about! :D Michelle is just a doll! You feel like old friends and she reminds me of my mom with how sweet and hilarious she is, something I feel is very rare to find in someone in this particular industry. Duke was extremely friendly, and very knowledgeable. I didn't feel like I was being led around in circles. The car was immaculate! Almost as if it had just rolled off the assembly line! I felt good in my decision to purchase the car, and I've been happy ever since. I've only had to do routine maintenance, and it drives like a dream! Best experience ever!!! Trust a car salesman? This always seemed like an oxymoron to me, until I got to know Duke and Michelle at Charlotte Auto Group. For me, customer service is huge. I did my due diligence starting out, big name dealership to dealership, being dragged through the mud in the process. An overwhelmingly awful experience, and a waste of time. So when I sat across from Michelle after finding one of their cars online, I was over it, and quite frankly was being rude from the start. She is amazing!! Within 5 minutes she had me laughing and pumped to buy the car.! No haggling whatsoever, and what for? The price was thousands below what I had been seeing for 2 weeks, the car was in perfect condition, clean carfax, detailed and looked brand new, as do all the cars I saw in their lot. Wellll....where do i begin? This car buying experience was nothing short of FANTASTIC! First off, these folk are not worried about selling as car as much as they are about helping you get the most out of your purchase! I was absolutely taken by the way Mrs. Michelle (owner) was adamant about helping me to find somethng to suit me. I looked around for a month at cars, different dealerships (big and small) taking each one to my bank for approval! Each time something just didn't work out. Looking online, i came across this small dealership and decided to check it out. The end result....because Mrs. Michelle cared enough to NOT give up on me...was a nice 2014 Chevy Traverse! Just purchased 2nd car from Duke and Michelle at Charlotte Auto Group, the first was a 04 Chevy Venture van about 4 yrs ago and had 89k miles on it and I've got 162k on it now and it's still running strong! This one is a Volvo and has low miles for the year and like last time they went out of their way to accommodate us . Highly recommend them if you are considering one of their cars or trucks as I know they will do everything possible to make sure you have a good experience and a reliable auto !! I had been looking to buy my first car for a couple of weeks before I stumbled upon this dealership. Initially, I wanted to avoid purchasing a vehicle from a dealership in fear that I wouldn't ACTUALLY know what I was purchasing or would feel pressured to buy something I didn't feel great about, however, this dealership is different! This is not your typical car buying experience! This is a family atmosphere and they treat you as such! I noticed all the cars on their lot were the cream of the crop. Could not agree more with the prior review. I bought a low mileage Honda from this friendly couple. The car was spotless, there was no pressure, they were up front, honest and friendly. Throughout the whole transaction, I felt more like an old friend doing business with a small town family business. Best car buying experience ever. Just called Duke with a referral. He talked to me from home (out sick). The first thing he wanted to know was if I was happy with my car and how it was doing - not how to score the referral.
