March 2025 I took my Honda in for an oil change & tire rotation. I also had a steering recall. My service person Harold said to me it should take about 3 hours, maybe less. After about 2 1/2 hours of waiting, i was talking to someone that also had a recall and he told me you can get a free rental car. I went up to Harold and told him, that he never mentioned the free car rental. His answer to me was (I forgot). I sent an email into Hendricks and was told that the service MGR Ray Ramon would be getting back to me about this incident. I wanted some compensation for my time. I wound up waiting 3 1/2 hours. First time there so I didn't really understand how they were set up but Harold was super patient and kind, let me drop off early, and had my vehicle ready earlier than expected. We went to Hendrick Honda of Bradenton last week and four different sales people saw us and did not wave or say hello. We walked around and then left without anyone saying a word to us. We left. We went to Honda of Sarasota and they were so unbelievably rude and high-pressure that we were not even allowed to test drive a vehicle unless we agreed to talk to their finance people, which we did not want to do. We tried repeatedly to ask to test drive and look at a vehicle, but Elvis Diaz refused unless we spoke with finance, and so we finally left and we will never return. We will also warn others away from ever setting foot at that dealership. We returned yesterday to Hendrick Honda and Mr. Pernell Engram was very polite and showed us the vehicles that we wanted to look at, he let us take a test drive, and was no pressure, he allowed us to take our time and compare vehicles. My first car was a Camry, which I had for 4 years. Only had to replace the radiator. This second time, I bought a BMW from them two weeks ago. They fixed the chipped windshield, replaced shocks/struts, changed the transmission fluid, and are going to pay a vendor to reglue the leather on the door panel!! Isn't that awesome? Who does that?! They went over both cars with a fine toothed comb to make sure they run well. I was so impatient to get the car but Jeramy explained what they were doing, so I backed off. Service was excellent. The people that showed me in and got the car ready the service agent juan and even the actual technician who made the repair.. I felt it was a bit pricey .I didn't listen properly abd thought that there would be no diagnostic fee if I did the work there. There was an hour diagnostic fee 170 plus the work and parts. I got a tiny discount which I do appreciate.. the problem I felt was the cost of the part and i thought 170 an hour was rough for labor, but it's probably normal for dealerships. My friend looked up buying the same part number through Hendricks website with pick up at dealer it was at least 60 cheaper than I was charged at the shop. So to me it appears that i can go online , buy the part through hendricks website, or a link from their website, and picpick up the part there.. so why charge me 60 extra? I received a follow up call and was asked if I had any questions . I told the caller I did, about the part price.. she didn't ask me any more questions but told me should would get someone to call me back. It's been over 3 weeks since she asked. No call back.. I probably would not have even left this review if no one had called me for follow up and then told me someone would call me back and it didn't happen. So 5 stars for service.. 3 stars for follow up and pricing.. maybe there was something they could have explained to me about the part but never called me back. read more

My sister Jessica went down there to look into trading her car in and they conned her into a 2021 used car and didn't explain to her how she's upside down on her current car or anything soon as she left she sent me the paperwork and furious I told her to go back and return the car. They're now refusing to take the car back said only exchanges for a different car! I'd 100% find a different dealer to do business with. When, during an inspection, my brakes where found to be at the end of their life, he gave me the option to get them done and the cost to do so. I get it everyone has a job to do and needs to eat! But bringing out a Kelly blue book print out and stating "this is a fair price well under blue book value and there are only 10 in one mile radius"! Mind you at least 6 of the 10 are on their lot!!! They are 2022 and you constantly have new inventory coming in and trust having a lot of older cars is not usually what a new car dealership typically wants. So we say "what is the bottom dollar out the door cash price"? Sergio says "oh there will be no difference"! We get up and walked out and he allowed us to take the quote. No dealership has ever done that when I've walked out without buying a car. Hendrick Honda is obviously not in the business of selling cars. Honda Cars of Bradenton is full of crap I have a recall in my 2019 Honda Passport now this recall came to me earlier this year and here it is the end of the year and this problem has been taken care of and it states that this problem with the fuel pump could cause me to have a accident because the car could cut off and I could be in traffic well I was coming from Ga back in June and on I75 the vehicle did just that me and my sister was panicking because here we are on the busy interstate and the car is stalling so we were able to get over to the side before it completely shut off so we cut off the air and everything and sat for 30 min fortunately my car started up again so that Monday I went in to honda and they put it on the computer so they say they tell me that the computer didn't record it so at this point i am like I don't care what it said I know what happened and the engine light came on and still this situation has not been taken care of but they had the verve to call me today about my warranty on the car and I said what you should be calling me about is this recall my car has a warranty I got one through another company I have always been a die heart fan of honda when I told my friends and family that when I get another car next year it will not be a honda they knew I was very upset with honda people don't buy honda because these people truly don't care about their customers so I also called my attorney and let them know what was going on about this recall so if I get into a car accident because of this recall I will be suing honda cars of Bradenton (Pamela Holland) read more

I went to Hendricks Honda Bradenton 3 years ago to buy a Ridgeline truck. They did not have but one in inventory and it was already sold. They let me walk out the door without bothering to check other dealerships or even offer to contact me when they get new inventory. I drove up to Lakeland where the Honda dealer was much more accommodating and purchase my new Ridgeline RLT in February 2020. Two days ago I returned to Hendricks Honda Bradenton on 8/22/23 to purchase a CRV Sport-L Hybrid. The sales associate was pleasant and showed us what they had in inventory. They had the Sport model on the lot but not the Sport-L Hybrid. We asked if they could check and see if they were expecting any new inventory of this model or if they could locate one in silver for us. The associate checked with his manager. The manager came out introduced himself and said he couldn't be sure when they would be getting new inventory on this model. That was it. He was short and did not make any effort or suggest that he could check with other dealerships and keep our business. I had made it clear to our sales associate that I was a cash buyer and I could be patient if they could locate and/or give me a time frame to when they would get new inventory. I even offered to put a cash deposit down if they could get the ball moving any faster. Again their ineptitude to find the car I came to them to purchase, was the same incompetence I experience 3 years prior. I left and did a search on the internet and found that Norm Reeves Honda Port Charlotte had inventory of this model on site. My wife and I drove there on 8/23/23 and we were made to feel that out business mattered! We then purchased our new CRV-L Sport Hybrid from Randy Berlanga. He immediately checked inventory from other dealerships and found us the car in the color of our request. They have truly earned our business and respect of how a dealership should operate. read more

Today I came in to charge up the AC on my Honda Civic. AC was working properly it just wasn't as cold as it could be. I was told that they would evacuate the AC system, pull a vacuum and refill the refrigerant to recommended level. When I came in I had thermometer in the vent which read 62 degrees after driving 20 mins to the service center. Tammy Hines recorded 57 degrees with her thermometer. Well after a couple hours I was then told the expansion valve needed to be replaced because the technician said "after some time the air was not blowing cold" Hmmm, that was never the issue with the car before. To make it worse I was then handed a quote by Ray Ramon of $1906.15 to replace the expansion valve (a part that costs $20 at AutoZone) I have never in my entire driving life been quoted such an exorbitant price for any repair!! I was told that labor was about $160 an hour and it would take up to 5 hours. Well 5 hours at $160 is $800, so I guess the $20 part at Autozone costs almost $1200 at Hendrick Honda. I have since found out how much I was gouged. The highest quote I got from other repair shops was $850 for replacing the expansion valve. Why was I being gouged so much here?!!!I drive a 12 year old car. Do you think I have the money to spend a third of what the car is worth to replace a $20 part! Beyond the obvious price gouging, there is what has become the obvious issue that this routine AC charge has damaged my entire car AC system. When the car was returned to me it was not "blowing cool and then warmer" as stated by tech. It was only blowing hot like I have the heater on. I had to pull over on my way home from service center because I was getting overheated and could not drive. It is unbelievable to me that you take a person's car which had an AC that was working properly just not ice cold and after charging him $240 to "charge up the AC" give him back a car which no longer works at all!! It should be illegal. It should have been made right on the spot! No ethics and no pride here! So folks be very wary of all these padded 5 star reviews on here. My health and livelihood are now affected by a routine procedure by "Genuine Honda Service Technicians" Seriously stay away! I will have to see what my rights are in this matter now. read more

When I bought the Honda Ridgeline 2007 with the Hendrick warranty "head light to tail light" I brought it in for the head light was out, I was told it's not covered. Then I was treated like a POS for bring it to them for such a small problem. I even had the light bulb. Then they want to charge me over $150.00 to replace it, without my light bulb. I would have to buy theirs. I paid over $1,400.00 for my engine light was on and guess what...it's still on. If you like to pay to much for crappy service this is the place for you. If you live in Parrish your hosed to get a ride home, better have yber or Lyft on had to get home. I'm sorry to give them 1 star but that's the lowest I can go. Charged me $80 to remove a penny from a 12v power slot. Tried to get me to completely replace the power steering unit at $2,500 because. "It has grease on it and the fluid is on the low side" NOT below spec, just low on a 15 year old car. Nothing is wrong with the steering, no noises, no judders. Absolute scum. I'm only giving them one star because it won't let me leave zero! My wife tried taking our van here to have an airbag recall done and a seatbelt retractor replaced. Honda has a lifetime warranty on their seatbelts and all related components. That has ALWAYS been their corporate policy. My wife became frustrated trying to deal with the insufferable service writer Tammy, who kept trying to tell her she was probably going to have to pay around $1,500 to replace the recalled airbag and seatbelt retractor. After trying unsuccessfully to get Tammy to listen to reason, my wife gave me the phone to speak to her. Tammy immediately proceeded to tell me things like she didn't know why my wife couldn't understand that she would have to pay all this money to replace WARRANTY PARTS and a FORCED RECALL BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT! I tried explaining to Tammy that it is illegal to charge someone to perform mandated recalls and she went ballistic, telling me she has been doing this for 23 years and that she had never dealt with someone as rude as me (I told her she was committing fraud and hung up on her. She actually called back to argue more!) and how she wouldn't get paid if she did these repairs for me and it was coming out of her pocket like she actually owned the place! She then started telling me we would have to have them run a carfax report on our van to make sure I wasn't lying to her because the van had probably been crashed or something. I told her I have an actual receipt from another Honda dealer where we used to live who diagnosed the defective seatbelt during COVID but couldn't get the part for one reason or another so it never got done. she said fine, bring in the paperwork and we will take care of it. So my poor wife took the van to Tammy, who immediately started lying to her again about having to take apart the van at a rate of $95 per hour and determine if the defective seatbelt was really defective or not, and we'd still probably have to pay around $1500 but she couldn't tell us until the work was done. Upon being shown the paperwork AGAIN, Tammy angrily told my wife to take the van back to the other dealership then, also refusing to even order the part for the federal airbag recall. In a state of shock, my wife asked to speak to the service manager who backed Tammy 100%. I believe Hendrick Honda acted with malice and intended to defraud us and filed a complaint with NHTSA over their refusal to replace a recalled airbag unless we agreed to pay them $1500 which is highly illegal. We've already received contact from Honda's corporate offices, who are very concerned about the way this dealer is being operated contrary to their policies and the law. Oh, and Miss Tammy? We took the van to another dealer and they fixed the airbag and the seatbelt immediately with no stupid questions or fraud attempts at all. Thanks for the advice to go elsewhere! read more

I know that I have a lot of things to get my done with my car but when I ask a genuine question of how one knows to makes this service recommendation such as changing a transmission fluid, I don't appreciate being told "I've been doing this for a very long time, long before you were born" as an answer, WHILE being up charged for more than $1000 worth of services.
